Very excited to announce that from 1 May I will start a new residency at the legendary Gallery night at the Ministry of Sound, London with the launch party on 1 May 2009. Here is the official press release from MoS:
To some, three is a crowd. To others three is the ultimate bedtime fantasy. To Dale Anderson, Anil Chawla and Tim Davison three is the magic number, and the unique formula behind clubland’s newest supergroup. DAT Soundsystem is the brainchild of three friends... three fledging DJs... and three formidable producers. Individually, Dale, Anil and Tim are well established in their own right and between them they represent an exciting new breed of DJ/Producers about to hit the big time. Collectively, DAT Soundsystem is a new musical experiment set to reinvigorate dancefloors the world over with its sonic soundscape and open-mindedness.

Touching down at London’s Ministry of Sound on Friday 1st May, The Gallery has nabbed the world exclusive first appearance from the talented trio as they embark on a 6 hour back-to-back-to-back adventure in the Bar! Hernan Cattaneo, Sister Bliss and Behrouz complete what is set to be a huge evening with additional tunage in the Box. It’s fitting then that DAT Soundsystem should debut at The Gallery, as it was at the clubs former home Turnmills, where the three DJs all met whilst DJing back in 2002 over a common bond of music, tequila and nacho cheese. ....

Anil & Dale have just released their debut album ‘Roadhouse’ with Global Underground to mass acclaim. Described by I-DJ Magazine as having “set the standard for 2009”, the GU Worldwide Tour residents have become the label's frontline infantry earning them plaudits aplenty including Laurent Garnier, Nic Fancuilli, John Digweed and Paul Oakenfold to name a few. Having flown out to WMC to guest star at the DJ Magazine and Global Undergound parties, Anil & Dale scooped ‘Deep House Track of the Year’ for the album track ‘Leftorium’ at the annual Beatport Awards and were nominated for ‘Best Artist’. At the end of 2008, Anil was also nominated by DJ Magazine as ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ of the year and was shortlisted to host the new ‘In New DJs We Trust’ show on Radio 1. Meanwhile, Canadian-born Dale has played all over the planet and counts Sasha, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Paul van Dyk and James Holden as his closest supporters. His tracks have featured on compilations from Global Underground, Renaissance and Armada and more globe-trotting tours are planned for the summer. ....

Completing the threesome is Tim Davison, described by DJ Magazine as "one of 2008's brightest stars". Tim released his own debut LP 'Long Way from Home' on Baroque Records last year to much critical praise and DJ support and the last 12 months have seen Tim criss-cross the globe taking in Argentina, Colombia, Indonesia, Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine and over a dozen dates in Russia, as well playing at some of the UK's cooler club nights including regular guest spots at The Gallery. Tim’s remixes of Underworld, Leftfield and, in particular his cheeky reworking of The Chemical Brothers' 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' have become instant anthems played at open-air festivals and underground parties alike and with over 50 productions and remixes to his name Tim’s profile is on the up at a ridiculous rate.....
.. ..
And DAT is how they roll... ....
.. ..
Since those early days, their profiles have continued to rise. They have worked both collectively and individually on an increasing number of leading productions and played in every corner of the globe, driving each other to achieve even more. DAT Soundsystem will finally give them the opportunity to bring all that talent together as part of this brand new residency for 2009 and push the envelope even further.
