After 6+ years of destroying audiences while challenging the ideas of spectatorship, consumerism, content, etc. the Sugar Beats are no more. TVs, advertisements, 16mm war footage, wrestling masks, guitar feedback, beats for days, classical records, flood lights and swimming pools can now rest easy. We won't be bothering you no more.

Special thanks to all those involved- subsix, lalectraset, Tex, Anna, Chris Nelson, ginatonic, M.Doolman, Carl Wormley, Chris Ryan, gospreadyerdaveandeban, Chickenboy, domokos, John Adams, Synimah, Durrani, and anyone else who helped us at one point or another.

kenconsumer, bobrocket and subsix recorded the last Sugar Beats record, Supplied Demand, at JohnnyKilledRocknRoll studios, Houston, TX in July 2005. It will be released sometime in early 2006 on Girlgang/Challenger7 Records.

kenconsumer and bobrocket, now living in BedStuy, will press on as eystek for the foreseeable future. Go here- www.myspace.com/eystek and be our friend. Shawn Durrani has been cooking up this little number for our website of the future- www.redmember.com.

Again, thanks alot for all the fun. The Sugar Beats are dead, long live the Sugar Beats.

Just kidding. We've got some other things that you need to hear, so we'll be releasing those things over time as well.

We will never stop.

TEXT SB001 ///BODY/// Countless hours have passed since last the tiny electrons that form words have been transmitted to people via the glorious thing known as the web. During this time, loads of wonderous things have happened in the world- 160k+ have endured deaths worse than any wished upon foes (a plethora more continue to live in state of waking Hell) Southern California is about to wash right into the ocean It snowed in Houston for the first time in over 20 years And though these may seem like things that happen in "patterns," please show me the quilt. I do not believe the President and his minions/cronies when they claim that these weather anomallies are "quite normal," and that there is no proof that industrial growth has spurred on these changes. Come on, do we need proof other than what we see with our eyes? The TV has shown me that this is a real problem and its happening with greater frequency, yet people still believe it when a talking head tells them there is nothing to worry about, things are good. For those that still believe that television does not warp people's view of reality, let's think about 2 things, the current administration has turned around everything and made it work to their advantage (example- Bush made it OK to be a draft dodger, but vilified Kerry and McLain for being servicemen who served in Viet Nam yet continue to push forward in a war we cannot win, WTF?) and if they can't spin it to their advantage, they flat out lie (WMD) and middle America eats it up. Because of this, we have to stop listening to these people and start thinking about things objectively, without influence from a talking head. ///END///
