Usher Cancels Wedding

My phone started ringing today at about 1:00 p.m. this afternoon and has not stopped.  Everyone is talking about the wedding that did not happen.  The wedding, scheduled for today between Usher and his pregnant fiancee Tameka Foster, has been cancelled according to a statement released by usher's publicist Patti Webster. The statement read:

"It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."
The cancellation comes on the heels of a sensational National Enquirer article featuring an interview with Tameka Foster's sister Valencia Foster. In the article, Valencia dishes the dirt on her sister by revealing intimate details of Tameka's prior arrests for "boosting" from department stores.  Now this counts back to her days back in California.  Tameka is a native of Berkley, California.  It was in California where she met and married her ex-husband, Ryan GloverGlover, who is also from the Bay Area was left by Tameka for Christmas of last year.   It is alleged within the industry that the celebrity stylist has drawn the ire of fashion houses and high end boutiques by failing to return high priced items loaned to her for her celebrity clients. The items often turned up for sale at Tameka's quarterly word-of-mouth "sample sales" in Atlanta.

Word is the IRS has taken an interest in Tameka's sample sales which were never advertised to the public. One such sample sale included enough high end merchandise to fill an entire 1200 sq. foot store front on Peachtree street for which Tameka took out a short-term lease in 2004.  Tameka was the brain behind RyanKenny the sucessful men's clothing line started by her ex=husband Ryan.  Since the two have divorced RyanKenny has gone out of business.  Business partner Kenny Burns and Ryan have returned their efforts to the music business.

Usher and the older Tameka (he's 28, she's 37) are expecting a baby this fall (she is five months pregnant). No word on whether the couple is still engaged or even together. It would have been nice to see Tameka do the Demi Moore thing.

For some reason Tameka has become and easy target and is not liked.  She is actually a very nice person that was hurt due to the countless times her ex-husband cheated on her.  Ryan Glover recived a call from Usher today while he was in the barber shop getting a hair cut and his conversation was over heard.  Ryan told Usher that everything was cool and a learn experience for all parties involved.  He went on to say that his ex-wife is a strong woman and will be able to make it through this difficult time.  Ryan was alone at the barber shop and not with his two sons by his ex-wife Tameka, who must have been in the happens for their mother's wedding.  They have joint custdy of the two boys.  Tameka is the mother of three.  Her eldest is the result of a relationship prior to her ex-husband.

It has been rumored that she was seen crying and not in communication with a number of people that have been calling.  The wedding was to take place at L.A. Reid's house in the Hamptons.

Obnoxious will keep you posted on the details as they develop.

Usher's Wedding Off

Let's call the whole thing off! Pop prince Usher and his fiancee Tameka Foster have called off their wedding, which was scheduled for today.

A statement released by Usher's publicist, Patti Webster, said, "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."

Usher and the much-older Tameka (he's 28, she's 37) are expecting a baby this fall. No word on whether the couple is still engaged or even together.

Well, you will have to stay tune for me to keep you posted on this one.  However, I did hear that Usher had a conversation for almost 30 minutes with Ryan Glover, Tameka Foster's ex-husband, while he was getting his hair cut this afternoon.  He was over heard telling Usher that everything was cool and a learn eperiance for all parties involved.  He went on to say that his ex-wife is a strong woman and will be able to make it.

Executive ClothiersSoul Train is officially a show of the past.  I do not recall the last time I got up to watch Soul Train on a Saturday Morning.  Who is even the host now?  Apparently that is the feeling of most people these days and the reason the Soul Train Music Awards was a flop this year.  No pre-show hype and very few award recipients in attendance.  Jennifer Hudson did manage to make it to receive her Entertainer of the Year award and I will tell you about how she came close to backing out a little later, but eight of the 10 winners in major categories were no-shows-including Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and Gnarls Barkley.  Back in the day people broke their necks to make it to the big night in Black Music, but seems that BET might have stole the thunder from Soul Train.  Now it was said that very little sponsorship dollars made it difficult for the executives at Soul Train to get the celebrities to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for the not so big night.  Friends told me the press room was a virtual ghost town, with very few of the celebrities that did show up coming back stage to do interviews.  Jennifer Hudson, Jermaine Dupri, and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds got their award and hit it.  Ronald Isley also avoided the press room following his performance in tribute to James Brown, who was finally laid to rest after two months of court battles over his estate.  Back to Ron, he might not have wanted to discuss his 37 months sentence in federal prison for tax evasion.  Soul Train might have been his last television performance for the next three years; he also won an award that night for Best Album for "Baby Makin' Music."  Ron knows a lot about that with his having recently made two infant boys with his new wife.  He also suffered a stroke, but seems to have recovered nicely.

Beyonce, won best single by a female for her song "Irreplaceable," but was not able to make it due to handling her business in New York shooting a commercial for Samsung cell phones.  Some say that LeToya Luckett being the co-host added reason for her absence.  The former member of Destiny's Child held her own with Omarion hosting along side her.  Actress/Comedienne Kym Whitley did stop by the press room with two male contest winners, but she got a little choked up when a reporter asked her about her late friend, Gerald LevertKym paused and then gave a very moving tribute to the late singer and shared that it was Gerald who brought her to LA for the first time and to of all places the Soul Train Awards.

Well, there was a great deal of talk about Jennifer Hudson trying to back out of the Soul Train Awards and that was one no-show that Don Cornelius could not take.  It was said that Jennifer called and said she could not make the show and it got leaked to the New York Post.  The poor Cornelius was dealing with eight of his major awardees declining and losing Jennifer Hudson was not an option.  Purportedly Don Cornelius called Clive Davis, the head of J Records, who is recording Jennifer's debut album.  A source said Clive called Jennifer and let her have it and to get her ass on the next plane to L.A.  It was said that Hudson made it to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium to accept her Sammy Davis Jr. Award for Entertainer of the Year.  Not sure how she did it, but on the very same night as the Soul Train Awards Jennifer Hudson performed at least four songs in Atlanta at Dallas Austin's "Don't Stop the Music" Foundation dinner at the Ocean Ballroom of the Georgia Aquarium.  Jennifer was said to have been booked to perform at the event prior to her becoming an Academy Award Winner and kept her word and rocked the house.  Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, T-Boz and boyfriend Tikeo Spikes, Jazzy Phae, Gabrielle Union, who had to leave early, Shannon Anderson, Diana Dagarmo, of "American Idol", Big Gip, of Goodie Mob, who has let go his gold teeth for some beautiful porcelain verniers, were among Atlanta A-List individuals that came out to support Austin, who came so close to going away forever in Dubai.  It was surprising to see the level of support by blacks and whites for a Hip Hop artist that had been busted for drug less than a year prior to his event.  However, Jennifer did leave rushing and must have taken a private plane to LA and by picking up three hours on the west coast she was right on time to get her award.

Suge Knight might really have gotten saved, sanctified, and filled or is he full of crap?  It remains to be seen if Knight has really given his life to the Lord or if he is going to have the Mase salvation until I need to make some money.  Miracles do happen and one might have happened to Suge.  It was a miracle to find out that he even went to church.  The founder of Death Row Records, who has done time for attempted murder and is in bankruptcy, says he is ready to let go of the troubled label after hearing the same message from two different preachers within the span of two weeks.  Knight told a reporter that he attend Bishop Noel Jones church and he preached a message about letting go of the past and then Bishop Jakes preached a message with a similar theme that touched him.  "They talked about the same thing and it was like they were talking straight to me.  I do not want to be tied up with this for years.  I want to move on with my life in a more positive direction."

Suge has been in bankruptcy court since Lydia Harris won a $106 million judgment against Death Row by claiming that her husband, Michael Harris, now doing 28 years in prison, co-founded the label and was entitled to 50 percent of the proceeds.  Knight was able to only pay Lydia 1 million dollars and once the money ran out she took him back to court.  Now instead of hanging on to Death Row under Chapter 11 reorganization as he was advised, the now saved Suge says he wants to liquidate his publishing rights, pay off the creditors, and put the label behind him for good.  "I want to take care of the creditors.  I'm saying I don't want to keep living in the past, with the negativity," Knight said.  He added that he no longer uses the N-word as well.  "My approach to music now is different, I'm not Delores Tucker, but you do have to be careful what you say.  We shouldn't be constantly feeding negative energy to these kids.  You can get rich with the devil's money, but you can only be happy with God's money."  Suge might really be a changed man and only time will tell if his life lives up to his new testimony or if he will soon turn to his old sinful ways.

Drug Dealers and Killers…Well, I have a lot of stories about stars kicking ass and taking names this week.  For starters Sean Combs has been accused of assaulting a man outside of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.  The gentleman has filed a lawsuit against P. Diddy, seeking unspecified damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and punitive damages.  TMZ.com posted a copy of the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court.  According to the documents, 27-year-old Gerard Rechnitzer says the February 25 incident went down at about 2:00 a.m., shortly after he left the hotel restroom to join his girlfriend in the valet area.  The couple had just come from Teddy's, a nightclub inside of the hotel.  Rechnitzer claims that when he got to the valet area he saw Diddy and his bodyguards talking to his girlfriend.  When he called out to her, Diddy allegedly said, "What the f**k you looking at, dude?  I'll smack flames out your ass."  At that point he says Combs attacked, assaulted and battered Rechnitzer, causing him to fly backwards several feet into a vehicle behind him.  According to the police report he was punched on the right side of the face by a man talking to his girlfriend.  The report did not identify the other man, and the police said he could not confirm that Combs, 37-years-old, was the subject of the investigation.  Diddy's attorney said the lawsuit is baseless and he did not hit anyone.  Now we know that Sean will kick your ass and has been know to slap the shit out of people with bottles of champagne, but this does not sound like him and Rechnitzer quote does not sound like anything Diddy would say.  Sean P. Diddy" Combs would be closer to the following:  "What the f**K, I am going to kick your ass," or "Ain't this a b*tch, I am talking to this chick." Not I am going to slap flames from you.  Plus Rechnitzer's girlfriend must have not given a damn about him after Diddy had stepped to her since she did not inform him she was spoken for and waiting on her man.

Danny Glover pulled out some of his old "Lethal Weapon" kick ass ways on the paparazzi.  Glover is accused of having punched a New York Daily News photographer in the jaw.  According to the newspaper the 60-year-old actor was leaving the Brooklyn Federal Court in New York when he became irritated and threw a punch at news photographer, Gary He, striking him in the jaw.  "What gives you the right to come out here and photograph me and have your camera up in my face?" He quoted Glover's remark to him prior to the punch landing in his face.  Glover's attorney, Martin Singer, told the paper that He started the whole thing by trying to prevent the actor form leaving the courthouse.  However, the photographer decided not to press charges.  Singer said Glover was supposed to meet entrepreneurs Lester and Lennox Parris, of Old Westbury, L.I., who are being tried on charges of manipulating the price of stock in their bottled water company, Queench, by issuing press releases containing false claims, then pocketing money from the alleged pump-and-bump scheme as reported in the New York Daily NewsDanny Glover has some relationship with the owners and got pissed when confronted by a photographer.  His actions were totally out of charter for the seasoned actor and embarrassing for the otherwise grounded actor that supports so many great causes.

Foxy Brown cannot win for loosing.  The rapper not only gets mad and will fight, but it seems that she also will get out of control behind the wheel as well.  Foxy, born Inga Marchand has been detained for 16 traffic violation in New York in less than three years, state DMV officials told reporters.  Among the offenses are running red lights and weaving across lanes of traffic without signaling.  Foxy Brown was also cited for operating a vehicle without a license, insurance or an inspection.  It was revealed that Foxy only has a learner's permit in New York State.  But her right to a license was revoked because she kept ignoring her traffic tickets according to DMV.  "She has to answer all these different summonses before she's allowed to drive," DMV spokesman Ken Brown said.  Inga aka Foxy Brown had a license to drive in New Jersey, but it was suspended last March after she failed to appear on an earlier summons in that state.  Well, Foxy must have big plans for putting out a hot album so she can afford to be chauffeured around since it looks like it will be a while before she is able to get behind the wheel again.

Soon we will know the truth.  Melanie Brown, the former Spice Girl, known as Scary Spice says she is carrying ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy's child.  A group of about 30 of her friends gave her a baby shower at a private bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel.  The 31-year-old singer celebrated the baby arrival with a cake in the shape of a woman's pregnant belly, and plenty of Dom Perignon champagne to go around.  As you well know Murphy has denied that he is the father and plans to have the child take a blood test to prove the paternity.  The winner of the Golden Globe for his role in "Dreamgirls," first questioned his paternity in December during an interview with a Dutch TV reporter.  "We're not together anymore," Murphy told the reporter when asked about his relationship with Brown.  "And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test.  You shouldn't jump to conclusion, sir."  He was seen later that same evening with his current girlfriend Tracey Edmonds, the ex-wife of Babyface.  Time will soon tell if he is the father of Scary Spice's bastard.

According to an interview with Tracey Edmonds on the "Trey the Chocolate Jock Morning Jump-off" Show to plug BET's "College Hill," which Tracey is the executive producer she had to answer some serious questions about EddieEdmonds comments were right in line with her boyfriend's response.  She said that Eddie had a quick relationship with Scary Spice before the two of them became an item, but there will be a paternity test and if the baby is Eddie's he will be responsible, was her response.  She even addressed the issue about Eddie's sexuality in a manner that leads you to believe the new hot couple must have discussed the rumor.  Tracey for the most part said she is not concerned with the talk that Eddie is gay or having a relationship with Johnny Gill.  "Anytime you get to a certain point in your career somebody always has to put a gay rumor on you," Edmonds said.  "And Eddie and Johnny have been friends for 20 years; I have been around them so the whole gay thing is BS."  Well said, but this is not the first time that Tracey has had to deal with rumors of her man being gay.  Bayface's sexuality was the subject of many conversations at one time.  However, it seems to all have been an ugly rumor that eventually disappeared.

According to my "Street Committee"…Wynonna Judd has consistently had troubles and another has just mounted her shoulders.  The latest devastating blow was of her husband being thrown in jail for allegedly sexually abusing a child.  Daniel Roach, Wynonna's second husband, was arrested at the Shades of Hope rehab center in Buffalo Gap, Texas, the same place where Wynonna battled a food addiction a year ago.  Roach, was being treated for and undisclosed addiction until he was hauled off to the Taylor County Jail in Abilene, Texas, on a $750,000 bond.  He was charged by a grand jury on three counts of aggravated assault on a child.  Daniel Roach had been Wynonna's bodyguard for 10 years before the two of them hooked up in 2001 and later married in 2003.  Seems Wynonna, 42-years-old is too old for Daniel's taste.  Wynonna has had her share of struggles, horrible relationship with her mother Naomi and the famous 2003 DUI arrest.  The arrest is sure to cause the five year marriage to come to a screeching halt.

Olivia's MySpace page does have a recent blog from the artist or someone claming to be the artist that she is in fact leaving G-Unit and that there is no place at the label for an R&B singer.  The direct quote taken from Olivia's page is as follows:
"Hey whats up everybody! Its ya girl olivia.i jus want you to know i am doing great.

I am crackin up at all the bs rumors that have surfaced, but that just means i'm important. lol. sorry but the rumors are all false, except for me not being with gunit anymore. things just didnt work out because thr is no sense of r&b at the label.

I thank fifty for everything he has done for me and i wish him the best.

Please continue to support your girl. i will b touring overseas for 3weeks in may and will b dropping some new music very soon!
Again i love you guys for supporting me.

you can reach me and my people at musicamericaunderground.com or check out one of my fan sites at olivia_fanz.com." (Note this quote was taken directly from Olivia's MySpace with grammatical errors and all.)

Well, there you have it she is leaving, but the allegations that she was sexually harassed are not so according to her blog.  Olivia thanked 50-Cent for his contribution to her career however she will be moving on.  It will be interesting to find out 50-Cent's take on this situation and if it is more to it than what Olivia is willing to tell on her MySpace page.

Jennifer Hudson is said to be a little more like her character Effie in "Dreamgirls" than she is willing to admit.  Starbuck's told her people that the Academy Award Winner did not have to show up to perform at the company's annual shareholders meeting in Seattle.  Seems that it was all done in Hudson's name by an agent without her even being aware there was a problem.  Starbuck's people say five town cars were demanded, hair and makeup artist, security personnel, and her assistant.  The big one was humidifiers to be used backstage and baked chicken wings at 10 a.m.  The Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz had enough and pulled the plug because he did not like the way the agent was dealing with his people.  Jennifer Hudson was in the dark about all the demands that made her appear to be an out of control diva.

Speaking of diva like behavior.  Recently, I had a not so nice run in with Bill Bellemy.  I was able to catch up with the comedian at a taping of his show, "Bill Bellemy's Who's Got Jokes" when I was introduced to Emory.  The big guy that has a jail house buff like physique was externally unprofessional and ignorant about my speaking with his client Bill.  "Who are you?  He is not speaking to the media tonight if I say so," Emory ranted at me.  The out of control and overly excited bodyguard/road manager or who ever the hell he was came back and gave me a number to reach Bill that was actually the number to a sex chat line.  Now this was not my first time interviewing Bill and he actually acknowledged me from the stage, but later seemed pissed with me based upon whatever his guy Emory told him.  Bill was originally egger to speak to me for a few minutes prior to his talk with Emory.  Later he confirmed that the number he gave me was correct, but I only have a Masters Degree from a top ten school and I must have needed a Ph.D. to take down the number correctly.  So here is the number 800-222-0606.  All my readers please dial it and tell me if I am crazy or not.  Bill might want to get his shit together, he has not been on the silver screen in a long time and after a television show that flopped he cannot even get 1000 individuals to fill a club where he was taping his show for free.  Bill needs to check his so called employees.  Now to give him the benefit of the doubt he sent me an e-mail apologizing for the misunderstanding and a contact for the future.

Executive ClothiersWhen your are in the business of reporting on all the happening news in the world of Sports and Entertainment you throw away more invitations than you care to attend, but it was one invite that almost got tossed until I looked at the envelope carefully.   My mail had backed up due to my being out of town and insisting on sorting it myself when I ran across something that said The White House .   Shaking, I quickly opened it and it read:   " The President cordially invites you to The White House to celebrate African American History Month."   It was then that I realized that the event was a week away and I needed to respond immediately.   Quickly I picked up the phone and called the number and sent an e-mail stating that I would be in attendance and offering the necessary information for the background check.   About a day later I got a call saying that I was cleared to attend the event and that I requested to sit in The President's Box for the final performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.   "Yes, Yes, I would love to attend," I stated to the person on The White House Staff.   Not many things are beyond comprehension for me, but this was one of those mind blowing experiences.   No joke, I was going to The White House .

It was a cool morning when I arrived at the Ronald Regan Washington National Airport not knowing what to expect.   Excited that I was in the Nation's Capitol on very important business, only 220 people were invited to the event and I was one of the individuals.   Saturday was spent with great friends that showed me an amazing time.   The tour started and did not end until well into the night.   It was not my first time to Washington, D.C., but it felt very different this trip.   A visit to The White House does not happen every day and with each moment I grew more excited.   Like a child on Christmas Eve, I had a very difficult time going to sleep because the next day I would be going to The Kennedy Center.   Greeted by a member of The White House staff, who escorted me to Box 1, The President's Box , a maroon velvet rope was in front of the double doors with The Seal of The President above.   "Right this way Mr. McCray," he said.   A beautiful sitting area with chairs and tables, coat room, and a private sound proof bullet proof bathroom are all before you go out to the seats.   A small group of us that would attend the event at The White House was invited to the very special event the day before we would meet President Bush .   The group of us enjoyed The President's Box Seats that was fully stocked with refreshments.   "We might as well eat up and drink up everything because this might not ever happen again," Xernona Clayton said.   Clayton , the Creator and Executive Producer of the Trumpet Awards, statement was a great ice breaker and made all the attendees feel comfortable.   The entire performance was outstanding, but the piece Revelations had to be the most moving.

Guests were instructed to enter through the Southeast Visitors entrance no later than fifteen minutes prior to the start of the program.   We were required to have a photo I.D. and the security cleared was very similar to the ones at the airport, except we did not have to remove our shoes.   The security check point was actually a trailer that was not connected to the house at all.   I checked my coat and my heart was beating as I looked up and down the huge hall lined with members of the armed forces.   Asked if I wanted to take the stairs or the elevator, I elected to take the red carpeted staircase to The East Room of The White House where I was greeted and shown to my seat on the second row to the right of The President .   My eyes were huge when I saw a yellow card that read William G. McCray, III and underneath Nationally Syndicated Columnist Obnoxious TV.   A rush came to my head, I had to sit down, and I actually felt faint because I was reading a name card that belonged to me at The White House .   After sitting there for about two minutes I could finally see the people in the room, before they were only a blur.   "This may never happen again, get the camera out fool and take pictures of this history, get your cards out," I thought to myself.   Proud to say that I knew a good number of the people in attendance and began to mingle and take photos.   Shortly afterwards there was an announcement to be seated.   "Ladies and Gentlemen The President of the United States!"   In walked George W. Bush , the 43 rd President of the United States.   "Oh My God!   That is him, that is actually him, I am looking at him with my own eyes," was the thought going through my head.

The African American History Month Celebration at The White House was a salute to the great accomplishments and rich history of African Americans that is forever woven in the fabric of American History.   In his speech, President Bush reminded the group of attendees of great moments of the past as well as recent milestones like Super Bowl XLI, featuring two African American head coaches.   And I was there because I was told by a staffer that reads my column that I had worked to carve out a niche by developing a multi-media brand that redefines modern day social commentary.   The Black History Month Choir from Jackson, Michigan offered a concert.   Then it was my opportunity the program closed and I met the Nation's Leader.   After exchanging hand shakes he seemed to have known me for years.   "William you are a mighty spiffy dresser," The President said.   "Look at him he is quite the Dapper Dan," he continued.   I was extremely honored to have been invited to celebrate the History of African Americans with President Bush .   His speech and staff appointments demonstrate he is clearly aware of African Americans ability to lead.   Although, many do not agree with his politics it was still a great honor to be invited to The White House and meet President Bush .

The first part of the week I was at The White House then in Las Vegas for All Star 2007.   It only happens once a year, the most elite players in the NBA come together for a star-studded weekend of Hip Hop sport of basketball.   This year gambling was added to the mix when the NBA invaded sin city, Las Vegas.   All Star was officially opened on Thursday evening, but the hot events did not start until Friday with the Rookie Challenge.   The hottest and most promising rookies are pitched against the A-List of sophomore players.   David Lee led the sophomores in the fifth consecutive victory in the T-Mobile rookie Challenge & Youth Jam and the game is only eight years old.   Chris Paul also made a name for himself with 16 points.   It was all about the Sprite Slam Duck Contest where Boston's Gerald Green had it for three top rated slams and dethroned Nate Robinson , last years winner.   A number of other activities went on that night in the Thomas and Mack Center, but none seemed to matter until it was time to see if Dwyane Wade took home the PlayStation Skills Challenge title for the second time.   It was all about the parties, gambling, and women until the night of the game.   Vegas was packed--a lot of stuff went down most would like to forget.   Saturday night was a huge scare when after the events fireworks rang out like bullets.   And the rumor that E-40 had been killed was on everyone's lips.   The National Basketball Players Association All Star Gale at the Mandalay Bay sponsored by Budweiser had to be the hottest ticket in town.   Mary J. Blige , the Queen of Hip Hop rocked some of her best offerings not to mention T.I. joined her and gave one of the best performances of his career.   An invitation only event was also complimented by Cedric "The Entertainer" with some good stand up and the event host enjoyed dancing extremely close to a very sexy female, who was said not to be his wife by some sources in the VIP area. DJ Knuckles from 106 KMEL San Francisco did all that Mary and T.I. could not during their show.   Some of the best spinning that I have heard in a long time came from Knuckles , who kept the party hype.

The Western Conference set All Star records with a 153-132 win over the East NBA stars.   Kobe Bryant racked up 31 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals to take home MVP.   Amare Stoudemire did his fair share along with Carmelo Anthony .   Bryant's wife was dressed in one of her husband's jerseys-- she consistently gets lost in the crowd at events such as All Star--so much for warm hugs and kisses of congratulations from the wife on the night of his big win.   After the game I was able to catch up with Chauncey Billups , who was not pleased at all on how poorly the East played.   "It is obvious we did too much partying and having fun this weekend and forgot the real reason why we were here," Chauncey vented.   "This is a time for us to come together and have fun, but we still have to play ball and we did not do that tonight."   Billups who had been a part of a winning team the previous year in Houston where LeBron James walked away with MVP did not live up to previous expectations.

All Star new comer Joe Johnson was all smiles and just glad to be apart of the team.   "It is just an honor to be here and play with some of the best people in the League," Joe said.   He had a similar experience this summer when he played on USA Team in the World Games.   Atlanta Hawks leading scorer, Joe Johnson has to be one of he nicest guys in the league and it was great to see him so happy even if he was a part of a loosing squad again.   Joe was picked up to replace a player that was unable to play due to an injury.   The game was extremely boring to be honest with the West blowing out the East.   Not to mention the half time show was nothing to write home about.   Toni Braxton did her thing, but was almost to calm and sultry for the high energy event.   Christina Aguilera did not impress me nor do I recall any of her musical offerings that sounded horrible live.   Beyonce and Jay-Z sat on the floor together, but it has been said the couple broke up shortly after the sin filled weekend in Vegas.   Prince and Dave Chappelle were said to have been hanging out at the game together and were seated next to each other, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger , David Hasselhoff , who's has had so much plastic surgery until there are enough stitches in his face to have made a quilt, Wayne Newton , Mary J. Bilge , Eva Longoria , Chris Tucker , Christopher "Ludacris" Bridgs were just a few of the stars that packed in the Thomas & Mack Center for the All Star game.   One of the other very fun events that many have come to look forward to outside of the Slam Dunk Contest and the All Star game is the celebrity basketball game with the likes of Nelly, second year in a row the rapper has shown his basketball skills during All Star weekend, Taye Diggs , Kevin Frazier , who actually played and covered the game for " Entertainment Tonight " for the second time, and Donald Faison went up against Jamie Foxx , Reggie Bush , Bow Wow , who seems to have an interest in becoming one of the owners of the Atlanta Hawks , and Nick Cannon battled it out in front of a packed out crowd during Jam Session at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.   Shaq brought the stars out to his party hosted by ESPN over at the Wynn.   The likes of Gary Payton, Boris Kudjio , Terrell Davis , Antoine Walker , Megan Good , Gabrielle Union , and Grey Anthony were all in the place.

While on the subject of basketball, about a week following All Star former NBA Champion Jason Caffey was arrested and incarcerated by Judge Cynthia D. Wright, Superior Court of Fulton County.   Seems Caffey's failure to pay over $77,000 in child support and attorney fees landed him in jail.   The order went on to say that he should remain in jail until he pays the full amount and proves that he has medical, dental, and life insurance for his child.   Randy Kessler, a known for taking down a number of celebrities for not taking responsibility for there children is also going up against legal powerhouse Willie Gary for neglecting to pay for his twin children.   " Mr. Caffey just is not taking this seriously.   He does not support or communicate with his child.   Hopefully, now that he must face real consequences, he will realize the severity of the situation and will live up to his obligations."   Lorunda Brown is the mother of Caffey's neglected child, whose case dates back to October 2002 when the court required him to provide medical, dental, and life insurance for his child.   Caffey since that time has only paid $8,300 and has no proof of the required insurance being provided.   All law enforcement officers of the State of Georgia, including all the Police Department and Sheriff Departments of all counties were ordered to arrest Jason Caffy on sight.   Well, the days of having kids and leaving the responsibility to the woman are long gone.   However, the question remains how a man that is worth millions has sex without protection.   Pay up Daddy!

Drug Dealers and Killers ... Sacramento Kings player Ron Artest is back to his pick ass ways.   Although, he did apologize for his domestic violence arrest and returned to the team in time for a game.   The violet and trouble prone athlete has been excused indefinitely from all team activities.    The day after he was arrested at his home when a woman called 911 and said she had been assaulted.   According to the police report Artest slapped the woman's face and grabbed her repeatedly, causing visible injuries on her hand and leg.   "First, I want to apologize to my wife, to my family," Artest said in a quickly arranged news conference.   Fighting back tears, continued: "I want to apologize to the Kings, to my teammates, to the NBA, everybody."   Seems a little late for Ron to cry.   He has got to keep taking his medication or he is subject to go off at any moment.   Artest was suspended for a season following his disruptive behavior in the 2004 "basketbrawl" between the Indiana Pacers, his former team, and the Detroit Pistons .   He also apologized for his tarnishing the reputation on the NBA once again.   "I definitely want to apologize for my behavior even to the...whole NBA, all the players, because the league is doing so well right now and Ron Artest is once again in the media for something other than basketball and I apologize," he said.   Artest promised to begin volunteering with domestic violence groups in Sacramento and said he would work to repair his personal life.   Now the interesting aspect of the story is that the woman was not his wife, but Ron was arrested at home for domestic violence.   I talked to his agent Mark Stevens at the Hawks game and he said that he would have to see and approve my questions prior to an interview with Ron .    The assault was against his wife; however, it was unclear who the female was at first.   His neighbors in Loomis, California say it was his wife that was attacked.   Ron posted $50,000 bail and is due back in court on March 22.

According to my " Street Committee "...a pretty chick that told me she is being well taken care of by an NBA star.   Allegedly she is a model, but only finds herself in videos with the bare minimum covered; a townhouse was purchased in her name by Shaq .   "He has a cousin that lives in Atlanta, and he met me with a check after I found something that I wanted, she said smiling.   "I know who you are and I should not be telling you this, but he got me all new furniture and I am well taken care of," the pretty girl shared with me.   To even prove it she let me listen to some very revealing voice messages of someone that sounded a lot like Shaq requesting to see her after the party.

There is another big name athlete that might be going to jail for not paying child support.   An attorney for the mother called and told me that he is about to file and get an order from the court against another dead beat dad.   The NFL player has four children all by different mothers and is not taking care of any of the out of wedlock babies he has .

There are photos on the internet floating around of Paris Hilton on her kneens performing orally on a man that is said to be Cee Lo .   Now if the photo is actually of Paris she is looking directly into the camera and had to be aware that her photo was being taken.   Additionally, Paris is totally nude in the photo and seems to have been having sex and looks rather rough.

Well, T.I. is said to have called the wedding off between him and his son's mother Tiny of the group Escape .   Tiny is said to be expecting again, but will not be getting married to the rapper born Clifford Harris .     The reasons are unknown and they are said to be friends, just not friends enough to get married.   Shame on the two of them--I was looking forward to covering a Hip Hop wedding in the A-Town

Clive Davis is said to think that Ray J can ruin Whitney's comeback.   The music mogul is said to have gone as far as to have banned Brandy's little brother from his famous Grammy Pre-Party at the Beverley Hilton.   Clive is said to have seen the video of Ray and Snoop Dog smoking weed and of the recent adult film debut   of Kim Kardashian and says he is Bobby Brown all over again.   Ray J is 26 and Whitney is 43 and not exactly your ideal couple.   However, Whitney's people are totally denying the story and said that Ray J is an old family friend.   A call to J Records did not get a response from Davis .   However, I heard that Ruben Studdard , another J Records artist has lost over 100 pounds and is planning to come out hard with his new album that is due out soon.

Executive ClothiersThe rumors are true. After all the talk and even denial about the existence of a sex tape featuring Ray J and Paris Hilton's best friend Kim Kardashian has been sold to Vivid Video and has been released. There has been more hype about this X-Rated DVD than some motion pictures. The company is rumored to have paid $1 million for the footage from an unidentified source. Kim has denied and even lied about the tape that is obviously well planned and recorded a lot better than home sex videos. After watching this porno you would think they were paid actors in a studio. Neither Kim nor Ray J seemed too shocked or surprised of the camera, but ready and willing to perform in more ways than one. "There is no sex tape! Ray J's not the kind of guy who would do something for revenge," Kardashian said in an interview with Complex Magazine. "There is no amount of money that could ever convince me to release any tape, even if I had one. I don't need the money," She went on to say. So much for wishful thinking Kim, the tape is out of her being a naughty girl. Superhead's ex-lover learned some moves from the video vixen that penned her sexual exploits in her book "Confessions of a Video Vixen." Ray had a great teacher and taking his knowledge to other willing students. Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch told the New York Post: "We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video. I've seen the video and it's really great. It has over 30 minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing." Hirsch went on to say that the video was apparently shot by Ray J three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship and the viewers will definitely get their money's worth."

Ray might be trying to pick up a little extra cash to help his sister, Brandy with her legal fees. A not so little, Ray who has been rumored to be in a relationship with Whitney Houston has out done himself with a video fetish that will now be shared with the world. Kim Kardashian is the daughter of the high powered attorney Robert Kardashian, stepdaughter of Olympic Gold medalist Bruce Jenner, and the best friend of Paris Hilton. Seems Kim has taken a little more after her best friend, Paris than her two fathers with her wild sexual escapades on camera. In the triple X video Ray J takes some moves from the man that looks like R Kelly and gives a willing Kardashian a Golden Shower, now for those of you that do not know what the term means-here you go-Ray J urinates on Kim. See it for yourself!

Prince was the highlight of Superbowl weekend. Events all week leading up to game day, but Saturday night rocked with the Pespi Concert hosted by Taye Gigges and outstanding performances by Kanye West, Common, Ludricis, and Firgie was blazing until halftime on game day. Taye and his wife, Broadway star Idina Menzel might be finished. In Miami he did not act very married, which might be due to Idina spending the better part of last year overseas-doing the UK production of "Wicked" while Taye spent the year in Los Angeles shooting his failed series "Daybreak". Rumor has it that he may have been involved with Ashlee Simpson. Taye brought in the New Year without his wife in Miami and she was absent when Taye attended a Superbowl party at club Makai. He was seen and heard getting close to another blonde. Wearing a scarf to protect his hair from the rain Prince was amazing. Performing a medley of his best offerings and closing with "Purple Rain" in the rain was the icing on the cake, not to mention when FAMU's band marched out on the field took the halftime show to the next level. All the talk about Prince and his deliberately using his guitar to create an enlarged X-rated image was totally absurd and pitiful. The recent winner of a Golden Globe delivered the performance of a lifetime. Although, in times past Prince has been known for his outrageous antics on stage and even showing his rear end in a yellow see throw outfit during an awards show. History was made and no matter how you cut it both men were winners. Tony Dungy lead his team to victory in a game that was not very exciting, the Indianapolis Colts took the win. Superbowl made super history with the first African American NFL to take the title. A bitter sweet victory when you actually think about in 2007 there are still African Americans to be the first to do anything.

John Amaechi, a former player with the Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic, has become the first NBA player to come out and tell the world he is gay. Amaechi announced publicly for the first time that he is gay and pushing his book "Man in the Middle," which chronicles his NBA career and directly addresses the travels of being a closeted professional athlete. Now it is not really a secret that John is gay, it has actually been rumored for years and he was even outed back when he was playing for the Orlando Magic by Randy Boyd, who wrote an article on the number of men in the NBA most likely to be gay. Boyd came to his conclusion about John due to his love for gardening, listening to opera prior to games, writing poetry; none of these traits mean you are gay, but that you have a little class and a great appreciation for the arts. The book traces his life from early childhood until he was bought out of his contract with the New York Knicks in early 2004. Along the way it paints the picture of a very confused and lonely man that found comfort when he began to share is secret with his close friends and family. Reared in England by a single mother, he did not discover basketball until his teens. He spent one year playing high school basketball in the United States before going to Vanderbilt, where he played one season before transferring to Penn State. It was there that he was named First Team Academic All-American; he was not drafted but was a rookie with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He did not have a full time lover until he went to Europe after his time in Cleveland. John returned to the NBA in 1999 and did not have sex until he went to the Jazz. Once he had a guaranteed contract with the Jazz his mind was set at ease and he began to venture out to gay establishments picking up men and dating. It was then that he developed a wide circle of friends that were mostly gay. In his book he tells of his days going to gay clubs like New York's Splash and Los Angeles' Abbey and admits to all the rumors that were floating about him being spotted at these places while he was in the league.

In a very weird way John wanted to be outed as he shares in the book. He would bait the media to come out and say that he was gay due to his thoughts that it would be easier that way than him having to tell the world himself. Once in an interview when he was asked about the subject he said, "If you look at our league, minorities aren't very well represented. There's hardly any Hispanic players, no Asian-Americans, so that there's no openly gay players is no real surprise. It would be like an alien dropping down from space. There'd be fear, then panic; they just wouldn't know how to handle it." Lies and fairy tales, all the time he knew he was gay and all he had to do was say it. Funny he would describe himself as an alien and not as a talented man that just so happens to like other men. John does shed light on some of the tension between him and Karl Malone and his lack of respect for Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. Sloan must have known that John was gay and used some anti-gay phrase when talking about John that he did not like. The two never really got along and it really does not matter now. The book is alright, but it does not go into any juicy details on any wild sexual exploits or into any detail on anyone else that plays B-Ball that might be gay. Actually the story would have much more impact if he was still playing and told the world that he was gay. Magic came out about being HIV positive and now it is not even a big deal. The NBA has a number of other men hiding behind their physical talent and not being truthful with who they really are; makes you wonder how many more are actually gay that are currently in the league or former players that have made a fortune. I wish it would be feasible to tell about the numbers that have been said to be on the DL, but not willing to come out.

Drug Dealers and Killers Strike Again…This week actor Granville Adams, you know him for this role as Zahir Arif on HBO's "Oz," was arrested in New York and charged with criminally negligent homicide in the death of a man who fell down an elevator shaft. According to investigators, Adams had been fighting with the victim Orlando Valle of the Bronx early Saturday morning at the Chelsea nightclub BED in New York. Adams, 43, allegedly pushed Valle against sixth-floor elevator doors which opened, causing Valle to fall into the shaft. Valle plummeted four floors before landing on top of the elevator car at the second floor of the converted warehouse space. Valle, 35, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Now his younger sister, Luz, told the Associated Press that relatives and friends who had been at the club said he was attempting to calm a dispute, but instead became involved himself. During Adam's arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court, his lawyer Edward Kratt argued that the elevator was faulty and solely responsible for Valle's Death. According to the Kratt, his client was acting in self defense; Adams was hosting an event at the nightclub when he was attacked with a glass object on the back of the head. He then felt someone climb on his back, which he threw off, which was Valle. Big Momma always said that all money is not good money, which turned out to be the case for Granville Adams. Never in his wildest imagination would he have thought that a paid appearance would result in his committing murder.

According to my "Street Committee"…All Star Weekend in Las Vegas was off the meter. Never before have I seen so many people at All Star weekend with the hopes or desire to pay a hunk and a chunk to get in a crowded after party to get a glimpse of a NBA Star or another celebrity. The strip was packed and traffic was beyond articulation, but it was All Star in Vegas. For the first time I could ever recall gun shots rang out during the NBA weekend and my life flashed before my eyes. Later it was discovered it was only fireworks, but at the moment thousands of people thought it was heavy artillery being fired. Now history was made with the All Star being in a city that does not have a NBA team to host the activities. Rumor has it that the Maloof brothers, which also own the Sacramento Kings would like to see the team relocate to Las Vegas. Money talks and all the other stuff walks, but if All Star Weekend was any indication, Vegas will never get a team. Charles Barkley bragged about winning $700,000, but he forgot to tell he lost $2 million; it was fun to watch Nelly and Jermaine Dupri work shooting dice over at the MGM. The game was not supposed to be bet on, but get the hell out of here we were in Vegas. Over 300 arrests were said to have been made on one night not to mention the number of fights and beat downs. It was said that rapper E-40 was shot and killed by some female, but later it was found out to be a good look alike. Look out for more on All Star news next week. individuals will come forward.

James Todd Smith got his chance to shine as the host of the 38th Annual NAACP Image Awards. LL was not without his hat nor did he stop licking his lips for the night of Black glamour. For the first time in history the show was broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, although it was cut to a two hour program it was a job well done. Bono, Bill Cosby, and Soledad O'Brien were the trio to get huge honors. "We were pleased and honored to have LL Cool J host our first live telecast," said executive producer Vicangelo Bulluck. "His humor, intelligence and incredible talent made the awards and exciting evening to remember." LL kept his suit on and did not show off is body that his book boast about and still managed to hold the audience attention and stay in front of the camera. The same cannot be said for fellow actor Morris Chestnut and Avant, who presently does not have a music contract. Both of the talented guys find themselves touring a stage play. Far from the silver screen where we once could see Morris on a constant basis and not much can be said for the once R&B wonder Avant. Stay tuned for my review of the David E. Talbert play both are appearing entitled "Love in the Nick of Tyme."

Brian J. White is said to be dating Tyra Banks, but they did not appear together at the Image Awards. However, Tyra had another one of her emotional episodes on the red carpet about her recently touching a guest breast. Now get over it already. If Tyra is going to do edgy stuff like feel up a guest on national television then she has got to be ready for the back lash. Tyra is said to be feeling up the Brian J. White who recently starred in "Stomp the Yard," however some that went to college with White says that Tyra is far to dark for his taste. Apparently all the girls Brian dated during his football days at Dartmouth College were the same color as his last name. Speaking of White, Academy Award Winnier, Cuba Gooding, Jr. had a Michael Richards moment while leaving the Butter nightclub in New York when he told a gang of reporters, "Many times, people say 'N*ggas' don't like the cold." He then looked at the camera and said, "That's right, I said it." Now the New York City Council made history with a city—wide legislation to ban the use of the N-word in thr big apple. How can a man that is named Cuba use the N-word, even though he may feel his Oscar and white wife makes him honorary white? It is extremely disappointing to watch the television clip of his actually using the racial slur.

Executive ClothiersXernona Clayton's Trumpet sounded on Las Vegas.  The 15th Annual Trumpet Awards founder's vision took her on the other side of the country to continue the labor of love that had been held in Atlanta for 14 years.  A black tie invitation only event is one not to miss if you are lucky enough to be invited.  Xernona's mailing list consisted of only 3000 who's who from all across the country.  Four days packed of events for the awardees and attendees to celebrate African American Achievement and those that give back to the African American Community.  The weekend started with the Prayer Breakfast, continuing the spiritual tradition of the Civil Rights Movement with present day victories.  Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Marilyn McCoo, Judge Penny Brown Reynolds, Dr. Michael Beckwith, who has recently appeared on Oprah twice in one week, and Mrs. Christine Johnson, mother of Ervin "Magic" Johnson, were honored at the breakfast.  Prior to the night of the awards was the Black Cultural Explosion, featuring all aspects of the arts with performances ranging from a pianist, opera, spoken word, dance, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, and even a comedian.  However, nothing was like the night of the show with a sea of wigs, weaves, make-up, gowns, and even a few of not so hot dresses made it down the red carpet to the ballroom of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.  Hill Haper was not only the host for the evening, but an awardee for his book and work in the community.  The men gave the women a run for their money as they did their strolls down the red carpet, but none could touch Hill Harper, who rocked in a navy blue Prada Tuxedo.  Throughout the night Hill changed at least three times for his debut as host.

The night arrivals gave some very serious woos and a few very disappointing ahhs.  James Avery, limped in on a cast that he was not willing to talk about, Eric Benet was present and accounted for with his lovely daughter, Babyface must have caused his ex-wife Tracey and her new boyfriend Eddie Murphy to be persona non grata, Jasmine Guy wore a little black number, but covered most of her curves with a beaded jacket.  Baseball player, Brian Jordan, was cool and very traditional in a black tux, when he stopped to say it was a great night to honor so many that give so much. Terrence Howard was slim and trim in a navy tux and proud to plug his new film.  "I had to get really fit to play this part man, swimming everyday and the role of a remarkable brother," Howard said smiling.     Rushing in late and requesting help for her gown that had a lot of static and clung to her body in a not so flattering fashion was Victoria Rowell of "Young and the Restless."  One of the big shockers of the night was Usher Raymond walking the red carpet with Tameka Foster-Glover, his stylist now fiancé, close to a year ago it was said they were together and they actually denied it.  An older woman that has been married before and the mother of three children has snagged one of the country's most eligible bachelors.  Tameka must have had something that Chile did not have.  Nancy Wilson, who has been a part of the Trumpet Awards since the very beginning, looked amazing in a black gown said she was glad to present her friend Dionne Warwick her living legend award.  CeCe Winans had to be the greatest disappointment of the night arriving in a black velvet pants suit that could have passed for something that you would wear to work.

The Trumpet Award honorees this year were Toni Braxton for entertainment, Ed Dwight, an artist, Michael Jordan, Donnie McClurkin, who actually has a independent film out about his life, Justice Alan Page, Percy Sutton, Tommie Smith and John Carlos, famous for the black power fist when they received their gold medals during the Olympics, Dionne Warwick, and CeCe Winans all were trumpeted on the spectacular night of the awards.  Vicki Winans worked the red carpet and actually did a great job at interviewing arriving guest and sang.  Yolanda Adams also offered a selection on the night of the show and looked pretty hot for a Gospel Singer on the red carpet.  Some not so famous people looked pretty hot stepping out in Las Vegas like Justine Boyd, who wore a mauve gown with an amazing train, Vicki Person of Texas was a show stopper in a long black gown.  Finally, Xernona Clayton made a lot of mouths hang open in a hot black gown with her back out.  At 75 years-old she looked amazing and in her bare back number and defiantly the bell of the ball.  Some did not look so hot and really did not need to come out.  Men if you do not have a tuxedo do not think you can get by in a suit and tie.  Brothers you cannot be cheap and get away with something that you would wear to work, get a tux.  After the show it is all about the after party.  Everyone made their way over to Light, the nightclub at Bellagio for the official after set.  Nothing like the years past with smooth jazz and cocktails this was a serious party.  The dark plush club Light was the location for "A Night of Legends," a night that will not be long forgotten.  Music pumping and Go-Go dancers working the stage on floor to ceiling poles made the famous saying, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," ring true.  Many of the distinguished attendees really let their hair down and rocked into the wee hours of the morning.  The heads of companies to the heads of state got on the dance floor and worked it out.  Even Obnoxious put on a show stopping performance by working the dance floor and even swing on a pole.  Rebecca Franklin, publisher of "Women Looking Ahead Magazine" got a little close with fellow publisher Sonny Martin, who said he had to come out of his tie and jacket to handle his dirty dancing partner.  Leigh Torrance, of the Washington Redskins and Brain Jordan, of the Atlanta Braves seemed to have a good time as well.

The news spread the same way the fire did about gospel singer Ricky Dillard's home going up in flames.  Word has it that Ricky was in New York resting after just completing a live recording with his choir New Generation when he received word that his six-bedroom estate was gone.  Nothing was able to be salvaged of the 5,000-square-foot house completely burned to the ground.  Firefighters were called to the home around 3:00 am and found the house already fully engulfed according to DeKalb County Fire Department Caption Eric Jackson.  Everything Ricky owned except for the things he had taken with him on his trip was in the house; in addition, to awards and film footage of his choir's performance and a number of non-replaceable items of his mother's, who is deceased.  Over nineteen years of history was destroyed.  Ricky had just purchased the house three years ago.  A number of gospel greats came out to perform at a benefit concert for RickyDottie Peoples, Darwin Hobbs, Men of Standard, The Anointed Pace Sisters, Kim Burrall, Tye Tribett, Hezekiah Walker, and Bishop Paul Morton, all answered the call at the request of Bryon Cage, the musical coordinator.  Over $14,500 was raised in one offering for Ricky Dillard, who addressed a number of the negative rumors about his house catching afire.  Greater Travler's Rest Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Dewy Smith opened the doors of his sanctuary for the event that was packed to capacity with some attendees having to park at a local mall and be shuttled back to the church.  Although, Ricky was not available by deadline he does seem to be in good spirits and holding to all the principles he has sang about to get through this difficult time.

After weeks of silence on this issue, Tyrese released a statement regarding the alleged violent incident involving his live-in girlfriend at his Los Angeles home last month.  As previously reported Tyrese was reportedly the subject of a criminal investigation after his pregnant girlfriend called the police at around 5:30 in the morning and accused the artist of hitting her in the arm and thigh following a heated argument, then driving off.  Tyrese responded to the allegations in the following statement:  "I am a very private person but as untrue information is still circulating; I feel I owe it to my fans and supporters to finally address the rumors and put them to rest once and for all.  Please be assured that accusations of an alleged physical altercation between my girlfriend and me are absolutely false.  No charges were filed.  I am grateful for the prayers and support I have received over the last several weeks from my fans and supporters and I want to thank them.  God Bless."  Seems he set the record straight and noted that no charges were filed, but he did not address the police being called to the house in the early morning at all.  It is obvious that something had to happen, but the truth may not ever really come to light.

Tyra Banks decided to address those unflattering bikini pictures of her that made the covers of tabloids.  A far cry from the cover of the magazines that she was once accustomed too, now a filled out Tyra has packed on some pounds.  The 33-year-old former supermodel admits that she has gained about 30 pounds since her 1997 Sports Illustrated cover, but tells People Magazine that she is the only one who does not seem to have a problem with it…at least most of the time.  "I still feel hot, but every day is different," she says.  "It's when I put on the jeans that used to fit a year go and do not fit now and give me the muffin top, that's when I say, 'Damn!'"  Banks, the co-creator and host of the CW's "America's Next Top Model," also feels that the public's obsession with her weight—which she says is at least 161 pounds now—is ultimately detrimental to young girls who struggle with body image.  "I get so much mail from young girls who say, 'I look up to you, you're not as skinny as everyone else, I think you're beautiful,'" she says.  "So when they say that my body is 'ugly' and 'disgusting,' what does that make those girls feel like?"

Since her retirement from modeling, Banks says her weight has fluctuated from 148 pounds to 162 pounds.  In addition, to the "muffin top," Banks says she's also developed a "fat roll" on her back and an unwelcome boost in bra size to double D, which makes it hard for her to find clothes that fit.  "I would love for them to be a size and a half smaller," she said.  Tyra added:  "I have made millions of dollars with the body I have, so where's the pain in that?  If I was in pain, I would have dieted.  The pain is not there—the pain is someone printing a picture of me and saying those horrible things.  Seems that Tyra would have a littler tougher skin after all this time in show business, she is so weak to have a total and complete breakdown on television about her gaining a few pounds on national television.  She is always hollering and crying every time she is questioned or criticized.  Tyra get over it!

Everything is going down, but the Word of God…Not long ago it was a great deal of talk about Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson passing, however the rumors were not true.  A statement was later released that the Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ was at home with his family.  Memphis reporters swarmed Patterson's church to report if he was actually deceased.  Later the family issued a statement.  Although, Bishop Patterson has been ill for some time now he is yet in the land of the living.  Cancer is said to become more aggressive with stress and Patterson is defiantly under some serious stress with two pastors in his organization making headlines for sexually misconduct.  The first is Pastor Willie F. Arnold, 60, of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault.  Arnold free on a $25,000 bond, but police say DNA testing proved he is the father of the infant son of a 13-year-old girl.  The pastor of New Beginning Church of God In Christ is going to need a new beginning to get through these charges.  The assaults allegedly occurred in the living room of the victim's grandmother's home when the rest of the family was away, according to court documents.  It is rumored the girl told members of the pregnancy center staff that she did not believe the baby belonged to her pastor.  Authorities say DNA acquired from a swab of Arnold's saliva was compared to DNA from the alleged victim and her infant son.  The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, listed Arnold as the biological father of the baby based on DNA analysis.  Arnold's wife Joyce told reporters that her husband has a good lawyer and will fight the charges.  Well, that is exactly what he is going to need, a good lawyer and a hunk and a chuck of money to get him out of this mess.  Pastor Arnold if convicted faces anywhere from five to 99 years or life in prison.

In more sex and church news Rev. Sherman Allen, Pastor of Shiloh Institutional Church of God In Christ likes to have freaky sex allegedly like his colleague Willie Arnold.  However, this is not an offense to a minor.  Davina Kelly, 33, said that she worked as a housekeeper at Allen's home where he physically and sexually abused her.  Kelly is suing Rev. Allen for taking advantage of her after she began seeing him for counseling in 2001.  According to the lawsuit filed Rev. Allen, whipped her as part of her spiritual counseling and later coerced her into a sexual relationship.  "It was something I had never heard of before, but for the most part, because I trusted him, because I believed him, because I saw him as a man of God, I believe—as odd as it sounded—he was hearing from god and I really didn't question it because of that," Kelly said.  Now it was some confusion at first as to if he was spanking Davina during sex, but later it was found that he spanks or whips his members as a form of discipline.  Well, what kind of fool would allow a man to whip her as a form of correction at the age of 33; who cares if he was her pastor seems she was a serious nut case to agree to letting him whip her ass.  However, rumors are swarming the nation that Rev. Allen whips his members no matter the sex or age.  It remains to be seen if any other individuals will come forward.

Drug Dealers and Killers…Police arrested rapper Young Buck in his hometown of Nashville after discovering he had a warrant for failure to appear in court on a previous driving violation, according to police.  Born David Darnell Brown, was behind the wheel of his black Cadillac Escalade near downtown Nashville when cops pulled him over for driving erratically.  After running his information, the police saw on his record the July 2005 misdemeanor violation for driving on a suspended license.  He now has a valid license, but his record showed the outstanding warrant for last year's charge.  He was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.  The 25-year-old rapper was reportedly in Nashville for and event with fashion designer Gino Green to promote his new album "Buck The World," due in stores on March 20.  You may recall December of 2005 when Brown pleaded no contest to a felony in the stabbing of a man during a melee at the 2004 Vibe Awards.  He was sentenced to three years probation.  In an interview he Buck said, "Do not do the shit I do if you do not have the money I got."

Former NBA player, John Amaechi has announced that he is gay.  He made his way around the league playing for the Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, and Houston Rockets.  He is the first player to come out publicly, but it remains to be seen if he outs anyone from the NBA in his new book.  Speaking of gay, former MTV producer Terrance Dean has written a book about his life as a black man and his sexual exploits within the entertainment industry.  "Hiding in Hip-Hop: Confessions of a Down Low Brother in the Entertainment Industry," is said to tell of other film stars, rap artists, and music producers that all enjoy sex with men.  Seems Terrance is the male Superhead and has some serious stories to tell.

According to my "Street Committee"…Someone on the set of "Rush Hour 3" in Santa Ana, California is running their mouth and claims that Chris Tucker is not getting along with director, Brett Ratner.  According to the rumors Tucker will not come out of his trailer until the scrip is up to his standards and the Brett is using his status to get dates with willing extras on the set.  However, I did not get to ask Chris about the rumors at the NBA All Star game.

Executive ClothiersHappy Birthday to YA!  The words to the birthday song in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. penned by Stevie Wonder could be heard throughout the weekend and Monday, the holiday fell this year on the actual day the great Civil Rights leader was born.  Over two thousand individuals attended the "Salute To Greatness" Dinner where the late Coretta Scott King was honored posthumously for her work to preserve her husband's legacy and continuing his vision.  Myrlie Evers-Williams, Ambassador Andrew Young, and three of the King Children honored Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin for her fundraising efforts to raise $32 million in a little less than two weeks last summer to secure the private acquisition of Dr. King's papers.  Over 600 papers, speeches, and personal documents of Dr. King's were for sell at Sotheby's auction house in New York.  Although, school was out—many attended a history class—viewing a handwritten version of the famous "I Have A Dream Speech" does not even seem real and actual report cards of Dr. King's while a student at Morehouse at the Atlanta History Center where the papers will be on display until May. They will take residence at the Robert W. Woodruff Library in the Atlanta University Center. However, the papers are owned by Morehouse College and will eventually be housed in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel that will have to be expanded and renovated to properly display the exhibit, on Morehuse's campus.  "It is only fitting that the college that help produce such a man have the papers of their greatest alumnus," said Mayor Franklin a proud Morehouse Mom.   Dr. Otis Moss gave a delivered a passionate sermon entitled 'Living In the Legacy."  Moss was able to speak as a personal friend of the Civil Rights leader and in his closing he challenged the war with the same words that Dr. King used in his speech on Vietnam, "Come Home America!"  The drum major for peace was not always an A student, but he changed the world and did more in his few years than most will do in a lifetime.

Not one African American actor seemed to give a damn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his work to make it possible for them to stand on the stage at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverley Hilton and accept any award.  All of them seemed to have suffered from a bad case of amnesia or forgot that such a special night in their lives was actually on the birthday of the man who allowed himself to become a human sacrifice.  All dressed up, the glitz and glamour, the men in custom tuxedoes with the bling bling and the ladies in their expensive gowns as the silence rang loud.  They did not realize that at one time they would not have been in films or on television if it was not for Dr. King and they said nothing.

"Stomp The Yard," was number one at the box office with $22 million over the weekend.  Seems the marketing strategy to release an African American feel good movie on King Weekend worked.  Although, the movie made big bucks it also got huge complaints.  Critics have taken a position that the movie is enjoyable, but has some major flaws that are emanated from the script compounded with Sylvian White as director.  Point of clarification:  Brian White one of the movies lead actors has no relation to Sylvian White, the director.  One point is well taken that the movie is the first depiction of life on the campus of a HBCU (Historically Black College or University) and the students speak the worst grammar imaginable.  "Stump The Yard" might be accused of reducing the HBCU experience to hanging out, getting a girl, fraternity life and not touch on academics.  Spike Lee was accused of the same corporal sin with "School Daze".  Finally, the use of the N-word is problematic when Duron (Chris Brown) was dying in the arms of DJ (Columbus Short), his brother when he said "Don't die, nigga," he cried.  Not exactly the final words you would use over your beloved.  Everyone should go see the movie for themselves and be their own judge.

What is up with Paula Abdul?  The Bravo network may have found a solution to vacant time slot with their axing "Being Bobby Brown."  Bravo seems to take pride in producing reality shows with stars that might have a little dirty laundry that they do not mind airing before the world.  According to Bravo President Lauren Zalaznick, the series will follow Paula as she films a sixth season of "American Idol," works as executive producer on "Bratz: The Movie" and develops her own perfume and cosmetics line.  "It fits the Bravo mandate to show what's going on in the culture of the moment," Zalaznich said of the show, adding that "an intimate glimpse at the real woman behind the headlines" will be highlighted.

The real Paula might be a little rougher around the edges then we thought after being accused of having an affair with an "American Idol" contestant.  Seems that Paula might have been a little drunk during a satellite interview with Seattle's Fox news affiliate Q13, where she is obviously out of it.  Allegedly she was exhausted from three days of press and interviews or appearances and working on her reality show according to her publicist.  She cancelled all of her interviews the following day due to a sore throat after having set in a chilly studio on the day before her questionable behavior.  Seems that Paula might need a little help from Betty Ford to get her cute self back on track or get some obviously much needed rest.  Speaking of Reality TV, which is the last thing we need.  Kanye West is making it emphatically clear that his upcoming series on HBO is not a reality show.  It was reported and stated in this very column that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" executive producer Larry Charles would create an untitled project that focuses on a day in what is described as "his crazy hectic life," But it is not a reality show.   It is said to be a situational half-hour comedy that is fictional, and loosely based on his life according to Kanye.  Sounds like it remains to be seen what the show will really be all about until we actually see it.

James Brown's Beech Island, South Carolina house may become a museum like Elvis Presley's Graceland.  The family and estate trustees are moving forward with plans to open a museum for tourists at their father's home and a mausoleum to hold his body according to Debri Opri, an attorney for Brown.  The group plans to consult with the family of Elvis Presley to discuss how they developed Graceland, said Opri.  In more Brown news, his will seemed to have omitted his alleged wife and son.  However, the very vocal crying, but does not drop a tear Tommi Rae, plans to contest the will.  The companion of Brown holds fast to her being his wife.  Brown may not be the only singer in court fighting for what she feels is due.  Toni Braxton, who is to be honored at the Trumpet Awards next Monday, might be headed to court as well.  The singer has been dropped from Blackground/Universal Motown and is now suing her ex-manager for convincing her to leave her former label LaFace/Arista, where she made most of her hits.  According to several reports, the lawsuit claims Braxton hired Barry Hankerson as her manger in late 1997 and he helped her negotiate a five-album deal with Arista the following year that landed her more than $20 million in advances.

However, Braxton claims the relationship turned ugly in 2002 when Hankerson began using "fraud, deception, and double-dealing" to get her to leave the lucrative deal with Arista and sign exclusively with his Blackgrougnd in 2003.  According to the lawsuit, Handerson destroyed Braxton's relationship with Arista through "underhanded double-talk" and secretly telling each party that the other wanted out of the relationship-despite having sold at least 20 million albums together on the original deal he negotiated.  Braxton released one album under Blackground, 2005 "Libra."  But Braxton says her relationship with Handerson became problematic and she tried to fire him as her manager.  Instead, she claims, he turned against her.

The gorgeous Nia Long graces the cover of Essence for the month of February and in the cover story she sets the record straight about the fight between her now ex-boyfriend and her son's father.  Long talks about her career and being back on television after doing shows like Third Watch and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air;  She can now be seen on Boston Legal with William Shatner and Candice Bergen.  "The writing on Boston Legal is so beautiful, so layered and full of life, and I'm working with the crème de la crème—true professionals who take their craft very seriously.  So it's been challenging, but in such a great way.  Of course, there's the constant struggle to find the balance between work and motherhood."  Nia even shares in the article that the most natural chemistry was between her and Larenz Tate, but that Will Smith set the standard for leading men in her book.  "He really knows how to make a woman feel special," Nia shared.  The actress is doing great and has two films coming out this year; "Premonition" and "Are We Done Yet?"  She stated that she is very happy.

Nia goes on to reveal that there was actually a fight between the two men in her life at the time.  The situation happened at The Grove, an upscale mall in L.A. where she and her then boyfriend went to have dinner for the first time with her son.  It was a huge deal for Nia due to her not allowing men around her son unless it is someone very special.  Her former fiancé and son's father was due to pick him up at the mall on the same evening, however he arrived much sooner than she anticipated.  Nia introduced the two men and after shaking hands her son's father hit the boyfriend and a fight ensued.  In the article Nia said she moved away very quickly with her son due to her attempt to protect him from witnessing such behavior.  The former fiancé is said to have been 21-year-old first-round NFL draft pick Reggie Bush.

Everything is going down, but the Word of God…According to recent reports Bishop Frederick Kelly has been arrested and accused of rape and child molestation of two under age girls.  The pastor of Greater New Macedonia Church of God In Christ was detained in Puerto Rico while on vacation with his wife.    The Right Reverend Kelly was given an opportunity to turn himself into DeKlab County authorities where he is currently detained until his bond hearing.  His attorney states that Bishop Kelly is innocent and will be fully acquitted of all the charges against him.  His attorney even added that he has proof that his client, Bishop Kelly was not even at the same location as the girls when he incident the is said to have occurred.  It is said that Bishop Kelly and his wife had five foster children all of which are girls, but have behavior problems and one has made such claims before that were proven to be false.  A pastor of a 200 plus member church and the prelate for Maloui, West Africa, Bishop Kelly currently sits in a jail for possibly trying to provide a better life for some needy children.

A legend is gone.  National Evangelist Nathan L. Simmons died the day before his 8th year wedding anniversary.  One of the greatest apostators of the Gospel during the 21st Century died at the age of 46.  He did not part this life prior to his wife and two daughters returning home from church for him to give them a final farewell.  A prolific preacher that spoke all over the nation, London, and the Caribbean church still is in great unrest.  A funeral fit for a king with two horse drawn carriages with his messages playing cars more than a mile long proceed to his final resting place.  The list of bishops and women that are well known is far too great to name among all the individuals that packed in the Elizabeth Baptist Church to participate in his homegoing service.  However, such a great man, like so many others death is met with great challenges. Pastor Simmons local church has faced great unrest and some fighting as who will be the next pastor.  His beautiful widow has remained a member of the congregation, silent in her thoughts and opinions as who should be the congregation's next leader.  According to the Church Of God In Christ Constitution the presiding prelate is the pastor until he appoints a leader to the local congregation, but Pastor Simmons has a deacon that seems to dance to the beat of a different Pentecostal Drummer.  It remains too been seen what will become of the great man's church.  A few of the services have been met with police and sheriffs at the front doors to ensure service went uninterrupted.  It remains to be seen if this is a house of prayer or has it become a dean of thieves?

According to my "Street Committee"…Michael Vic is under investigation by the Miami Dade County Police.  Seems that on a flight from Miami to Atlanta Vic attempted to board the plane with a weather bottle and when he was stopped at the security check he got upset.  Well, a rather curious TSA retrieved Mike's bottle of water that he finally threw away to board the plane and discovered it allegedly had marijuana in a secret compartment.  Surely Mike was not trying to get on the plane with some weed; however it remains to be seen.  Obnoxious rumors continue…Will Smith is thinking about retiring from the rap game. According to his nephew, the Fresh Prince thinks he is to old to be an MC.  Reality TV does it again.  You might recall New York, as a contestant on the "The Flava Of Love," well she was such a hit that the troubled exotic dancer has her own show now.  It has been said that Wood, a man that is after her love, was at one time a shake dancer himself and goes by the name X-Rated.  The word is you can still catch him doing his routine with a group of guys called "Nasty Boyz."  It is not true the Ja Rule is dead, so you can stop with that one.  Jadakiss is not going to sign with Cash Money, but is very close to a deal with Def Jam.  The word is it will be a co-deal with Ruff Ryders, and D-Block, it remains to be seen how it will all play out.  Def Jam is reportedly going to announce soon the "Takeover" Tour with all the greats; Jay-Z, Luda, Rick Ross, Nas, Ghostface, and more.

Whitney Houston might be getting back at Karrien "Superhead" Steffans for taking her man Bobby Brown.  Seems that Whitney, who will soon turn 44-years-old might be getting a little to close for comfort with Ray-J, who is 26-years-old and the younger brother of Brandy.  Now the two of them are said to be working on an album together, but according the photos e-mailed to Obnoxious there is a little more to it than business.  Demi Moore and Aston have a great relationship and they are close to the same ages as Ray and Whitney.  If it is true it might be a hard pill to swallow, but we all want Whitney to be happy and not just on the reboun

Not many awards shows are as well executed as the Golden Gobles.  No silly comedian, master of ceremony, or musical interruptions the show grabbed your attention immediately with one of the big awards of the night first.  Jennifer Hudson was able to get rid of the butterflies that had to have been in her stomach.  Best Supporting Actress for Jennifer's debut role as Effie White in "Dreamgirls".  No one was really surprised by the win and actually you expected it, but it was a seed of doubt that it could have gone to someone else.  After 25 years in the business and having been nominated for a Golden Globe three times before Eddie Murphy finally received a major film honor.  Three out of five is not bad, "Dreamgirls" won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, but it might be a bit more difficult to pull out a win at the Oscars.  The great thing about the Golden Globes is they break the movies and television shows that are nominated down into categories to compete against other like products.  A luxury so great will not be realized at the Academy Awards.  Another big upset for the night was Forest Whitaker for his portrayal of Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland."  Not sure if Prince was actually caught in traffic or if he was putting the finishing touches on his big after party, but he was not in the present when his name was called.  Justin Timberlake accepted the award in his stead for Best Original Song "The Song of the Heart" from "Happy Feet".  "Grey's Anatomy," walked away with the prestigious award for Best Television Series in the drama category, which executive producer is an African American woman, Shonda Rimes.  Not to mention that Sean "Diddy" Combs, Djimon Hunsou, Terrence Howard, Jennifer Lopez, and Jamie Foxx were among the more than 50 stars that presented on that night.  A huge night for African American's and not one saluted Dr. King; what and oxymoron when you are forced to examine history and realize the he has only been dead 39 years, Rosa Parks a little over a year, and his wife has only been gone 11 months and African Americans have already forgotten their sacrifice.

Now this rumor has been floating around for a good while, but it is finally gaining some merit for me to report on.  Seems that the Chief Minister for the Turks and Caicos Islands, Michael Misick and his lovely wife LisaRaye might be having some problems already in their marriage and he has a child outside of their union.  According to reports he gave his wife four of the islands and an unspecified amount of cash.  The suggestion is the gifts may have been misappropriated from the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is not clear if he actually did this or not because how do you give away and island, but he is up for re-election and he has 12 opponents already.  We will check this one out next week when they are at the Trumpet Awards.  Speaking of Michael Misick, who was said to have gone after Omarosa first, she is now dating Attorney Willie Gary's oldest son.  Rumor has it they also met at the Trumpet Awards; something about people meeting and hooking up at the evening celebrating African American Achievement.  You have officially chocked by the bowtie!

Executive ClothiersNo one does it better than Lady O.  The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls officially opened in a small town south of Johannesburg with such stars as Sidney Poitier, Tina Turner, and Mary J. Blige among the great names in attendance.  The stars paid their own way to be along side their good friend for what she described as the proudest day of her life.  Located in Henley-on-Klip, the $40 million facility houses 152 students from economically challenged backgrounds and fulfills a promise she made to former President Nelson Mandela six years ago to help educate South Africa's young girls.  "I wanted to give this opportunity to girls who had light so bright that not even poverty could dim that light," Winfrey said at a news conference.  "I know that this academy will change the trajectory of these girl's lives.  They will excel and pass their excellence on to their families, their nation, and our world."

Each invited guest, including Mariah Carey, Chris Tucker, Chris Rock, director Spike Lee, were asked to bring a personally-inscribed book for the library.  "The critics be damned," said Oprah.  Many have suggested how she should have spent her money to build a similar school here in America.  Well, who in the hell do they think they are to tell someone how to spend their own personal money.  In America we are obligated to pay taxes to educate our children and in South Africa there is no such luxury.  Oprah is right in her assessment of American children, as a former educator of 11th and 12 grade students I witnessed the misguided priorities of students and their parents on a daily basis.  Teens in America are obsessed with things and not aware of how blessed they actually are in comparison to children in other parts of the world.  "I became frustrated with visiting inner-city schools that I just stopped going.  The sense that you need to learn just isn't there," she said.  "If you asked the kids what they want or need, they will say an iPod or some sneakers.  In South Africa, they don't ask for money or toys.  They ask for uniforms so they can go to school."  Hats off to Oprah Winfrey for one of the greatest gifts to humanity, when you give the gift of education you will forever change the world

Each week this beef is getting more and more ridiculous.  Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump have reduced themselves to a beef in the media similar to that of rappers that have alleged issues with each other.  In the beginning is seemed to have been a funny media hype builder that got on your nervous very quick.  Clearly Donald is having some issue with his decision to give a whore a second opportunity being called into question.  Donald Trump, who has made a name for himself and stand for excellence in business has publicly contradicted himself with this decision and to have it questioned by the overbearing loud mouth Rosie got under his skin.  All of the hype to get viewers may have worked, but has diminished the quality that once was synonymous with the name Trump.  Now Trump has become more of a tramp in his recent media tirade.  Donald and Rosie can overcome this issue and get off to a healthy start, but it does not seem that "The View" likes controversy much.  Allegedly it may be some truth to the allegations that Trump is making due to a source that works with the show stating a huge blow-up in the hair and make-up room when Rosie returned.  Now it is true that Rosie is loud and overbearing at times, but that is just Rosie.  However, she confronted Barbara Walters when she returned from vacation about Trump's accusation that she had told him she was not happy with Rosie.  "You didn't call me for 10 got-damn days, and you know you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!" O'Donnell reportedly told WaltersRosie is said to have been upset about the cameras outside of her home and feeling that she has to protect her wife and kids.  Obviously Rosie is the man in of the house.  Most likely this is nothing more than a media stunt to get more ratings.

ne minute Tyrese is accused of whipping his girlfriend's ass and the next their attorney is saying it is all just a big misunderstanding.  Yeah right!  The live in girlfriend must have had a reason to call 911 on her baby daddy.  Allegedly, Tyrese has made the term of his favorite sexy under-shirt literal, the singer/actor and now rapper is known for his wife-beater tank tops has lived up to the name.  The police are investigating the reports of the buff dude punching his pregnant girlfriend twice before taking off in his car.  Sources say a woman claiming to be his live-in girlfriend said she was struck after the two began arguing around 5:30 a.m. at their Los Angeles home.  Seems he was just getting in or had just got a phone call from another woman causing this fight to take place in the wee hours of the morning.  Paramedics were called to the residence after Tyrese allegedly punched the woman, who is three months pregnant, in the arm and thigh then drove away from the scene, which saved him from being arrested.  Additionally, Tyrese was supposed to call Sacramento radio station KSFM 102.5 the morning of the incident to plug his upcoming movie "Transformers," but right before his scheduled interview, his reps called the station and said he was missing and they could not reach him.

Four days later the cleaned up version of the situation come out with a statement from Tyrese Gibson's attorney.  According to reports the incident with his girlfriend was just a misunderstanding.  The lawyer who represents the girlfriend of Tyrese issued a statement responding to what allegedly happened as follows:  "Reports that Tyrese punched my client--his girlfriend--in the arm, thigh or anywhere else are false.  It is true, Mr. Gibson and his girlfriend had been arguing.  She became very emotional and distressed during the argument and called 911 in an attempt to get a mediator.  Mr. Gibson, frustrated, left the home.  My client, Mr. Gibson's girlfriend, who is 11 weeks pregnant, then became more upset and began throwing up.  When the paramedics arrived, concerned about the baby, they took her to the hospital.  Fortunately, she was fine.  Once at the hospital, she was asked by a nurse whether she had been assaulted.  She said no.  She was then asked what her pain level was on a scale of zero to ten.  She said zero.  She then discharged herself.  Mr. Gibson and his girlfriend are very much still in love, together and excited about their expectant child.  She is quite saddened that this event was so distorted."

Sounds like the perfect case of back peddling to get out of a situation that could have become very detrimental for her an especially Tyrese.  The bottom line is that no charges were filed and he was not arrested.  His driving off might have been the best thing after all.  Sounds like he got caught having an affair or hooking up with another woman and caused his pregnant girlfriend to feel more like a fool than she already does to be playing house with a man and now having his baby.  Ladies when are you going to learn that men get a license to drive cars, going fishing, and for their dog, but the will live with you, screw you and not ever think twice to asking for your hand in marriage.  Tyrese claims that he got saved and is a member of Bishop Kenneth Ulmer's church, but some how he missed the sermon on fornication and shacking.

Drug Dealers and Killers Strike AgainMike Tyson is going back to prison.  Following charges of drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs in Arizona last week, Mike Tyson fate lies in the hands of the Maricopa County prosecutor, who says he wants prison time for the former heavyweight boxing champ.  "He has run out of second chances, at least in my book," attorney Andrew Thomas said in a new conference.  Tyson has two felonies for drug possession and two misdemeanor counts for driving under the influence of drugs were the reason for his arrest in Scottsdale, where he was pulled over after leaving a nightclub.  Bags of cocaine were found in his back pocket and another in a pack of cigarettes in his car, according to police records.  If convicted of all four charges, he could be sentenced to between 2 ¼ and 7 ½ years.  Tyson has a long rap sheet and it is not looking good for him in this case.  As you may recall he was convicted of rape in 1992 and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault charges in Maryland in 1998.  Well, it does not look good for the former champ and he might just have to do some time.  Seems Mike has a drug habit and the prosecutor is not willing to allow him to go to rehab.

What is going on with Trevor Smith?  Better known as Busta Rhymes, the rapper was arrested in New York City and charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly beating up his driver as he requested back payment.  The 34-year-old rapper was out of the country touring in Africa and Portugal when police announced their decision to file charges earlier this week.  Rhymes surrendered to police in Lower Manhattan Wednesday night and was released on $3,500 bail the following morning.  According to reports, Busta allegedly struck 39-year-old Eddie Hatchett multiple times, causing a laceration on his face.  The attack was said to have occurred the day after Christmas outside of Busta's office on West Broadway in Manhattan, when Hatchett—who drove Busta's Rolls Royce, Bentley, and bulletproof GMC—requested 19 days of back payment he was allegedly owed when Busta lived up to his name and busted him up side his head.  Trevor has been on a kiss ass mission and is facing assault charges for an August 2005 incident in which his bodyguards allegedly beat a man for spitting on his car in New York.

According to my "Street Committee"…The Nation of Islam announced Saturday that Minister Louis Farrakhan, who recently gave up his leadership to an executive board due to poor health, has recently undergone a 12-hour operation.  No further details were given as to the nature or location of the surgery.  According to the Nation, doctors told Farrakhan's family they were pleased with the operation, but would monitor him closely for the next 24 to 48 hours.  As previously reported, Farrakhan wrote in a September 11, 2006, letter to followers that he had anemia and lost 20 pounds due to complications for an ulcer in the anal area.  Six years earlier, Farrakhan underwent surgery for prostate cancer.

Will Smith might have his sights set on moving to South Africa and taking his whole family with him.  He actually found a house prior to 9/11 but he felt a since of loyalty to stay in the states.  The actor says he loves South Africa.  Mos Def might be getting shown the door by his label and going independent.  Seems that the rapper has turned out to be a better actor and not getting the promotion and energy needed to make an album successful and he is loosing his deal with Geffen.

"Being Bobby Brown" has been cancelled.  Bobby "Has Been" Brown series was not considered for renewal after the higher ups at Bravo were unimpressed with the new show's angle.  Additionally, they did not feel it would be successful without Whitney Houston.  It is rumored that Bobby pitched the show with Karrien "Superhead" Steffans and it was rejected.  They even are said to have tried to pair Bobby with Mike Tyson and film them out on the town, but still no deal.  Speaking of boxing Obnoxious learned that the rumor is true that Lil' Wayne got is jaw broken.  According to sources Gillie Da Kid punched Wayne in the face.  Technically his jaw was not broken, but cracked.  Still sounds very pain full.  The word is that Lil' Wayne has a big mouth and talks a lot of trash that he cannot back up.

Tomi Rae Hynie needs to go back to rehab.  James Brown's companion is out of control with all her wild antics and fake crying on television.  Seems the trustees and attorneys have his stuff on lock and she will not get anything, but a hard time for acting a fool.  It was hard to watch the funeral that was more like a modern day minstrel show.  Never before have you seen such clowning on live television to the point of embarrassment.  Rev. Al Sharpton tried his best to keep order, but the people and performers were out of control.  MC Hammer even tried to make a comeback with a five minute dance, but showed his age when the old man had to hold on to the podium to work his moves.  The aged rapper/preacher quickly set down after his tribute to the Godfather of Soul

"Stomp The Yard" was shot by Rainforest Films on location in Atlanta, Georgia on the campuses of Morris Brown and Morehouse Colleges, and Clark Atlanta University.  However, the portrayal of real fraternities and sororities at one time generated some controversy.  Some felt the film would share to many of the secret pledging practices of these organizations.  The film does not use any actual fraternities, but made up Greek Letter Organizations.  Not only has the movie been the subject of controversy, but the actors as well.  For starters Columbus Short, who is the actual star of the film, is the ex-choreographer for Britney Spears.  Seems that the married Mr. Short, who had a baby on the way got a little to close to Britney and actually had and affair that caused him to lose his family and his job due to Britney's mom firing him.  Darrine Henson of  Showtime's "Soulfood" is also in the movie, the married man showed up to the L.A. premier with the R&B singer Angie Stone and the two of them acted as if they were a couple and kissed in the mouth on the red carpet.  The beautiful Megan Good does a great job as the love interest of the star and her character overcomes a number of personal issue on her quest for true love in the film, but on the weekend of the movie premiere she faced some serious obstacles in real life when she was robbed while signing autographs to a crowd of fans.  The movie is worth seeing during the long weekend; although it is not a serious drama or has a lot of glamour like "Dreamgirls" you will be reminded or learn a little bit about a HBCU (Historical Black College or University) experience.

Executive ClothiersUsher gave himself a very nice Christmas gift that will keep on giving. A week prior to Christmas Usher Raymond opened his franchise of the restaurant and bar called The Grape. Marked the opening of the seventh location in Metropolitan Atlanta, Usher's Inman Park location will be a sure hit according the franchise president. Usher opened the doors to his pashe' new business venture with a private luncheon for members of the press on a Thursday afternoon that would insure positive reviews. The star and his mother were very gracious host and proud of their new baby. In a purple sweater Usher was well dressed for the event and greeted the press as he and The Grape staff laid out a six course meal of all the high end offerings of the quant new establishment.

A Grape in New York is scheduled to soon follow and the opening will coincide with the release of his new album. After the Grape conquers the Big Apple, the superstar will head West to Las Vegas and possibly Los Angeles. Jack Mazur, Grape CEO, shareed with me that he has a vision of the company growing in cities like Chicago, South America, Shanghai, and Tokyo. "We decided to capitalize on the growing interest of wine among younger drinkers and came up with the concept for Grape," Mazur shared. "Usher fits that demographic perfectly." Usher was available to a number of questions during the opening about his career and future business ventures. Broadway came at a unique time for him during his career. "Most people do Broadway first and then movies," Usher explained. "It was a wonderful opportunity and I had a great time, but now my focus is not my next album." Usher made it clear that he will not return to "Chicago," for the last run of the Broadway musical that called on all of the artist talent night after night. The singer will continue to do big business. Already a partner in an NBA franchise and now with the Grape under his belt a clothing line might be next for "Yeah" man. "You will have to wait to see, you are going to fast man," Usher said smiling. "I want it to be right, whatever I do--I want it to be a good product and not rush into anything." Not that a clothing line is totally out of the picture, but it will have to happen at the right time for the singer and he would have the time to devote to the success. "The number of opportunities for celebrities and minorities in business is amazing," Usher said. "I want to be a part of as many of them as I can." Well, he is not doing a bad job at making it happen.

Steve Harvey has back pedaled many of his early comments about Radio One and the company's CEO, Cathy Hughes. The host of Premiere Radio network's syndicated The Steve Harvey Morning Show from Los Angeles radio station KKBT-FM (100.3 The Beat). Harvey had just finished his toy drive when he was asked about the removal of The Tom Joyner Morning Show from the same station. "That's really sad. That's really a sad thing that's happened over there to The Beat," Harvey, who hosted mornings at the Radio One station from 2000 to 2005 before leaving and eventually being replaced by Joyner. Harvey parted ways with Radio One after attempts to syndicate his program nationwide fell short. Radio One soon partnered with Joyner to syndicate the Tom Joyner Morning Show on KKBT—until news came that Joyner's program would be dropped because of a format change at the station.

"I don't gloat and revel in stuff like that," Harvey said. 'It's just really sad what happened to the station. The Beat was once a heritage station, for it to be happening like this right now, it's a sad day. I wish Radio One and the owner the absolute best and I hope they can turn that station around. They're a black-owned business and I always want that to be a success for them." Well, Steve might really have accepted Christ, since that is a long way from his statement last year about Cathy. It was more like she and her staff could kiss his black ass when his syndication deal did not happen. Now he is reported to have said that he would have loved to remain a part of Radio One because they had plans for growing in great ways. Not sure what the plans are for Radio One, but they do not include Tom Joyner. All of this makes you wonder if Steve might be in the picture to get the deal he wanted two years ago.

Speaking of radio, Star Jones made a crack at the mic. The former New York prosecutor and host of "The View" hopes to turn the tide with a temporary gig as substitute host for Radio One's "The Michael Eric Dyson Show." Star is reported to have told the press that it was a new chapter for a new Star. She went on to say that she is a new person focused on her family, community, and things that really matter in life. Star has been quite since all of the fuss about her exit from "The View," last year. Despite her vast television experience, which included an analyst gig at Court TV, where she mainly sat and accused O.J. Simpson of murder on a daily basis, Star said she was very nervous about her three day radio job. Star discussed real life issues in a down home fashion more so then she ever could at the table where he once sat. Prior to standing in for Michael Eric Dyson, Star had never hosted a radio show, but has been a guest many times. Star is working for Radio One on a year-end review special. Allegedly she has not watched "The View" since Rosie has been one of the co-host. Star can tell us anything, but we can be sure that she has watched the show since she was dismissed.

Well, it might be some trouble in this New Year for Kanye West. The 68-year-old Evel Knievel's next stunt will be an attempt to win a lawsuit against rapper Kanye West for biting his persona in his extravagant video for 'Touch the Sky'. The lawsuit filed in a Tampa, Florida, Federal court, the lawsuit from Robert Craig Knievel claims that West's Evel Kanyevel character in the video is an infringement on his trademark name and likeness. Additionally, he claims the "vulgar and offensive" images depicted in the video including a kiss with Pamela Anderson and an attempt to jump a rocket-powered motorcycle over a canyon that results in a fiery crash—has damaged his reputation. "That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I've ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself on the public," the ailing daredevil is reported to have said.

In the video, West wore the infamous Knievel star-studded jumpsuit and uses a motorcycle "visually indistinguishable" from the one Knievel used in his failed attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon in Idaho in 1974, the lawsuit states. Knievel also takes issue with the scenes involving Anderson, who plays West's girlfriend. He says the clip contains 'vulgar and offensive sexual images, language and conduct involving 'Evel Kanyevel' and women apparently trying to gain his sexual interest," according to the lawsuit. "The guy just went too far using me to promote his filth to the world," said Knievel, who lives in Clearwater, Florida and has been in poor health in recent years. "I'm not in any way that kind of person." The lawsuit, which seeks damages and a halt to the video's distribution, also names Roc-A-Fella Records, video Director Chris Milk and AOL for distributing it. Get over it all ready Mr. Knievel. He should be glad that Kanye resurrected his dead image. Face it many people are far too young to know who he was. The old man must need some money and is looking to make a quick buck. West video is was not filthy and actually rather mild in comparison to some of the Hip Hop video we see now days. Clearly, Knievel has a problem with Kanye kissing a white woman rather than him promoting filth and I wonder if the retired dare devil is upset with Kanye promoting one of his failed stunts. Hell Elvis should have sued him for coping his style and costumes. West cut this dude a check; he is a chump so just give him some of your spare change.

Judith Regan was nothing more than the fall guy for HarperCollins' piss poor decision to publish O.J. Simposn's hypothetical murder confession "If I Did It." The book and its companion Fox special was simply in poor taste. The murder that is yet unsolved left a wound in America and on the hearts of many people that feel O.J. is guilty. The book ripped the scab off a barely closed laceration. A number of people feel that O.J. killed his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman and his book was a slap in the face. Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation personally called for her ousting after hearing "reports of a heated conversation Ms. Regan had with a company lawyer that included comment that were deemed anti-Semitic, according to two people familiar with the News Corporation's account of the firing." Mark Jackson, a lawyer with HarperCollins, a division of the News Corporation that includes Ms. Regan's imprint, reported the alleged comments from a phone conversation with Ms. Regan to Jane Friedman, HarperCollins' president and chief executive. Jane in turn called Rupert who said he would not tolerate that kind of behavior according to a source that would prefer to remain anonymous. "The conversation with Mr. Jackson on Friday afternoon was described by sources as heated and confrontational, even for the famously forceful Ms. Regan. The alleged comments came in the midst of a tense conversation in which, she berated Mr. Jackson, when she directed insults at him and Ms. Friedman, who are Jewish, as well as toward other Jewish people," said the source. Yeah right! She was fired when all of the heat came down on the company for publishing such a distasteful book. It was as it O.J. was saying I killed them and since I got off here is my confession. What may have seemed has a hot money maker back fired and Regan had to take the fall for the imprint? It remains to be seen if a lawsuit will follow or if she was given a handsome payout to pack her bags. In a murder case the burden of proof is on the prosecution and they failed. All the defendant had to do was prove a reasonable doubt and in this case O.J.'s dream team did. It would be best if O.J. did as Michael Jackson and leave the country for a while. What kind of man could attempt to make a profit off the horrendous murder of the mother of his children, children that he is actually raising? A heartless human being could be the only type of person to do such a thing. O.J. seems to not have thought about his children when he entered the book deal. One day the world will be able to hear from Nicole Brown Simpson's children to find out the true story about their dear daddy. Until that day we will have to wait and continue to wonder did he really do it and got off.

Writing a column each week does not often allow the opportunity to give updates on information covered the previous week. However, some stories are so good you have to follow them to know how the situation played themselves out. Carmelo Anthony's apology for pushing New York's Nate Robinson and punching Mardy Collins in the face and running is worth an update. The aforementioned actions will cost Carmelo about $641,000 in salary that he will miss due to the fifteen game suspension he must serve. The apology, although noble was really not enough for these guys to get the picture. If one of you hit a co-worker or a colleague from a competitors company you would be dismissed on the spot. Well, is the NBA above firing a player for poor behavior and not living up to the standard the league up holds? What is a suspension to a person that is filthy rich? If David Stien is serious he would have made the franchise dismiss the players for their behavior. America is sending a message that if you are rich you can get away with low down behavior and if you are poor you will pay the price. For now a simple "I am sorry" does the job.

Kirk Franklin has signed a deal with independent movie studio Lionsgate to produce "Church Boy," a feature film based on his life story. Kirk will star in the project and compose its soundtrack, which will include old favorites in addition to several brand new songs, announced Lionsgate President of Production Mike Paseornek. He went on to say that Kirk is an incredible talent who has touched countless lives through his music and his spiritual message. "To hear his story is to realize how faith and dedication can help a person overcome the most daunting obstacles. With Kirk playing himself and bringing in brand new songs –audiences are sure to be feeling the spirit with 'Church Boy.'" Kirk will join the expanding portfolio of African American faith based movies that have done well in the box office. Tyler Perry's films among others have proven to be successful. Now it remains to be seen how much Kirk will allow us to see of his life. The "Church Boy" has done a great deal that is not all that Holy; like having a child out of wedlock, not finishing high school, experimenting with drug, and the admission of being addicted to pornography will be some of the things that must be depicted on the silver screen. Will they tell the truth or will just be a feel good movie?

Drug Dealers and Killers Stirke Again…Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Reggie McNeal is accused of becoming unruly after being refused entrance to a nightclub and was charged with resisting arrest. McNeal was arrested outside The Red Door. McNeal and a friend approached the entrance of the club and began to act up when a guard told him the club was closing. He is said to have become aggressive and started using profanity when he was refused entry. After walking away briefly Reggie returned and tried to push his way into the club and actually elbowed one of the officers working security. Reggie was arrested and later released on a $1,000 bond. The Bengals have a reputation of acting a fool off the field with Reggie marking the seventh player arrested this year.

According to my "Street Committee"…P. Diddy received a great Christmas Gift of twin baby girls, but he might be losing one of his working girls in days to come. It has been no secret that Bad Boy has been in trouble for quite some time, but it seemed that Cassie might have been the breath of life in the nostrils of the dying label. Hard to believe Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige were once on the Bad Boy label. Now Cassie is ready to follow their lead. Insiders say that Cassie and her manager Ryan Leslie are trying desperately to be released from Bad Boy Records. According to the source, Cassie's team feels that Bad Boy hasn't put enough of an effort in marketing the teen singer. However, it is said to be more to the story than what is being said. The reasons may actually be personal as to why Cassie wants to part ways with P. Diddy, born Sean Combs. Cassie and her management may file a lawsuit against Bad Boy. Allegedly, Cassie has been the victim of a form of harassment. As of the time of deadline Obnoxious was not able to find out what type of harassment Cassie suffered; nor if it was at the hands of P.Diddy. Cassie has asked for the support of her fans in her blog and that she will be going in a new direction.

Executive ClothiersWell, I finally got a chance to see for myself what all the buzz was about with the release date quickly approaching and nominations made prior to the film "Dreamgirls" opening on Christmas Day.  The movie is absolutely phenomenal with an all-star cast including Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and the diva Beyonce Knowles will keep you on the edge of your seats.  If you are not anxious and planning an outing with your family on Christmas evening then you should get on the case right away.  If you do not already have your tickets then go get them now.  The movie will grab you from the opening scene to the very end as you take a journey with a group of childhood friends that pursuit a dream of becoming a star.  Trials and tribulations on the highway of success will move you as you fill the joys and pains as if they are your own.  You will leave knowing that dreams really do come true, but you will also question if you are really ready for it to happen in your own life.

Prior to seeing the film I was extremely skeptical that "Dreamgirls" would be nothing more than some good music and beautiful women in pretty clothes.  To my surprise it was an awesome movie that is extremely good in every aspect.  Prior to seeing the movie I was not sure how the play that I had seen as a little boy would actually transform into a film, but "Dreamgirls," does very well.  Not needing talent, but a big break--is a line that will stay with you long after you have seen the movie, you will leave "Dreamgirls" knowing that any thing is possible.

It is no secret that Beyonce is phenomenal as a singer and dancer, but she never had a serious role to establish her as a true actress.  Well, that is a statement of the past.  Beyonce can act and did a great job as Deena Jones.  Beyonce said that once she heard the Broadway hit was to become a film, she had to be a part of it and to use it as an opportunity to really show her talent as an actress.  "I'd heard about the Broadway play since I was 15 years old. I wouldn't know what a diva was if wasn't for this play," she said. "So when I heard they were doing the film I said, 'I have to be a part of it.  I don't care if I'm in it for five minutes; I just want to be a part of this movie'."  Becoming a part of the cast was not that easy for the diva who was already a household name.  Director Bill Condon was not quite sure she could switch out of her very aggressive Beyonce stage personality we know as Sasha.  He was not confident that the young girl that performs hard like Tina Turner could transform herself to the classy high soprano style of Diana Ross.

Now it is a great deal of talk about Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce having some tension that does not seem to be true.  It is a well known fact that a great deal of the movie is centered around the role of Effie.  Knowles says that she knew going into the project that Deena was not as great of a role as the one Jennifer Hudson's and she wanted to be a part of the film in any capacity.  Now she did not want people to confuse the role with her personal story, which is not a great stretch.  Seems that the Destiny's Child could have easily been cast into the movie and one could question if Mathew Knowles was similar to Curtis (Jamie Foxx) in anyway with making critical business decisions to thrust the group to the next level.  Seems it can be some great similarities, but they are not saying.  It has also been mentioned that Diana Ross may have had some issues with the movie due to it being loosely based on her life and The SupremesBeyonce said that she was not aware of Miss Ross having any issues with neither the film nor her playing the role of Deena, which is supposed to be based upon Diana Ross.  The bottom line is you have to go see this movie.

When have we ever known Donald Trump to have a forgiving heart?  Clearly he should have said "You'er Fired!" to Tara Conner, who seems to be a loose young woman with whore like behavior.  The underage drinker known for her excessive partying and alleged cocaine use turned stomachs as she stood and cried during Trump's press conference announcing his piss poor decision to give this two bit tramp a second chance.  Donald stood and made excuses for his pageant whore that lived up to all the stereotypes that many people think are a part of the world of pageantry.  "Tara got caught up in the whirlwind of New York.  She made some very, very bad choices," he said.  "She admits that she made mistakes."  Well, how could she deny that she was a drunk and party girl?  Miss USA will receive treatment for alcohol and drug abuse is a great roll model for the world.  A person that represents our country and holds such a tile is a known substance abuser, which  seems to be the perfect image in the mind of Trump; not a good decision and he has lived to regret some of his choices and we will live to see him regret this one.  Former Miss USA, Kenya Moore, strongly disagrees with Trump's actions along with a plethora of people.

Not even a week ago I was able to catch Patti LaBelle performance at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia.  Mary Mary and Yolanda Adams were on just before the powerhouse diva.  Each performed their duets with Patti that are on her latest CD and her fist time ever Gospel CD, "The Gospel According to Patti."  True to the Patti get on the floor form--she sang and gave a moving performance like only Patti can.  However, those of you that were hoping to catch Patti at a mega-church near you will have to give it up.  The tour has been canceled.  A press release from the singer's management company blames the promoter for the cancellation, claiming they failed to meet their obligations.  Additionally, LaBelle cites "inconsistencies coupled with a breach of contract" as part of the reason she scrapped the tour.  "I really had hoped to continue to reach the gospel audience as we had originally planned," LaBelle said.  "But I have an obligation to my staff to make sure they can keep their plans without last minute changes and to make sure they are paid for the work they do."  "The Gospel According to Patti" tour kicked off in October and was headed toward Philadelphia, Cleveland, and St. Louis, among other cites, before Patti pulled the plug.  Don Renee', the public relations contact for the tour, was not clear that the tour had actually been cancelled nor was he sure of the reasons.  Seems he was given conflicting information and not clear what to say to the press.  As for now the tour is over.

Not long after a vicious brawl that sent Carmelo Anthony to the bench for 15 games, the Denver Nuggets believe they have found the right answer for the future in Allen Iverson.  After two weeks of anticipation, news finally broke Tuesday afternoon that the four-time scoring champion was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers to the Nuggets of the Western Conference.  Iverson ends a tumultuous 10 seasons with the 76ers without having won an NBA title.  "We haven't won a championship, and I think we were a long way from winning a championship, even with Allen," Sixers Chairman Ed Snider said.  "It was time for us to take a deep breath and say we've got to move in a different direction.  Allen wanted to move in a different direction."  The trade will send Andre Miller, Joe Smith and two 2007 first-round picks to the 76ers for Iverson and Ivan McFarland, according to reports.

Carmelo Anthony was suspended for 15 games and six other players were penalized as commissioner David Stern came down hard on both teams after the Nuggets and Knicks acted like tramps and brawled at Madison Square Garden.  Nate Robinson and J.R. Smith each got 10 games, and four other players also were suspended.  Stern fined each organization $500,000.  But there was a separate penalty for Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, who had warned Anthony not to go into the lane before the mayhem started Saturday night.  Mardy Collins, whose hard foul on Smith sparked the fighting, was suspended six games and Knicks teammate Jared Jeffries will miss four.  Also, the Knicks' Jerome James and Dever's Nene were both penalized one game for leaving the bench area during the chaos.  Clearly these guys acted like common thugs in front of the world.  A total brawl that could not be controlled is absolutely inexcusable.  The behavior of these men was childlike and dumb at best.  The NBA is going to have to do something to groom these young boys that are instantly made millionaires that have no class, self respect, or etiquette to have behaved like animals on national television.

Terrell Owens must not have taken his medication before the game last week when he spit in the face of DeAngelo HallOwens was fined $35,000 for his uncouth behavior.  Hall should have pressed assault charges against T.O. for his trashy attack.  Spitting on an individual is a form of assault and an offense that can result in one being arrested.  Hall told the press that Terrell makes $10 million this season and a fine is not going to mean a thing to him so he should be suspended.  Well, the NFL did not suspend him so DeAngelo should press charges against T.O. and sue him for his filthy attack.  The problem and help that this man needs is not happening and he continues to have these outbursts.  Spitting is not uncommon in the world of football; last season, Washington's Sean Taylor was kicked out of a playoff game for spitting at Tampa Bay's Michael Pittman and was later fined $17,000.  In 1998, Tampa Bay linebacker Hardy Nickerson was fined the same amount for spitting on Carolina fullback William Floyd.  In 1997, Denver linebacker Bill Romanowski was fined $7,500 for spitting in the face of 49ers receiver J.J. Stokes; Owens might have picked up the nasty habit from him since they were teammates at the time.  T.O. needs to really get some critical help before he does something that he cannot apologize his way out of nor will the Dallas Cowboys front office be able to cover up.  Get the man some help and stop allowing him to act like a tramp.  DeAnglo's publicist said that he did not want to talk about the incident and that he was moving on and preparing for the next game.  However, Hall deserves to be commended for his response to the T.O.'s attack by taking the high road and not responding physically.

Drug Dealers and Killers Strike Again50 Cent is not covered!  An insurance company for the gangster rapper is reportedly refusing to cover up to $10 million in damages he could face with the loss of a lawsuit brought by a Washington D.C. area disc jockey.  National Fire Insurance says its famous client waited over a year before reporting the incident in which one of his G-Unit posse members assaulted WKYS-FM's Richard "DJ Zxulu, the Big-Lipped Bandit" Dunkerson, according to reports.  The length of time reportedly gives the company an out to invalidate the rapper's coverage.  As a result, the insurance firm is no longer required to underwrite 50 should he lose the civil suit.  Looks like the rapper born Curtis Jackson will have to pay a hunk and a chunk out of his own pocket.  The assault at WKYS' studios—located in the Washington suburb of Lanham, Maryland—was sparked in January 2005 when Zxulu made light-hearted comment about a wireless cell phone headset being worn by a member of 50's crew, saying it made him look like a Vulcan on Star Trek, according to reports.  Zxulu then reportedly threw the Spock hand salute and said, "Greetings, my Vulcan brother."  Once the interview was over, police say members of G-Unit's posse jumped Zxulu, punching and kicking him and allegedly stealing his phone.  Dunkerson also claims that the G-Unit track "Hate It Or Love It" ridiculed him and boasted of the radio station incident.  Well, it seems that 50's crew may have given the DJ a very expensive ass whipping.

According to my "Street Committee"…A source has told Obnoxious that Tara Conner nearly lost her crown not just because she was partying and her whore like behavior—but she was testing the waters with a number of rappers.  The claim the source makes is that in recent weeks, Miss USA was getting extremely close with The Game, Cam'ron, and Jim Jones.  Allegedly, Tara loved hanging with the rappers and said they were exciting and may have been in some very serious compromising positions with the men.  Seems Tara would get high and would let herself go sexually.  The source was not clear if she had sex with all three of the men, but at least one of them has taken part in a sexual escapade with Tara.  Now this has not been confirmed, but seems the Miss Universe Committee was very upset with her behavior and her like for gangster rappers.

In more whore news, Maia Campbell is in some serious trouble and making pornographic movies.  According to the clip that was sent to Obnoxious of Maia knows what to do and does it well.  The young actress that starred alongside LL Cool J and Debbie Allen in the television show "In the House," is very possibly on drugs and making her living as an adult film star.   Seems that Debbie or LL would have reached out to the young lady to help her, but might have now hit a point of no return, it was said that Maia was a little too hot to handle when she was a student at Spelman.  One source says the drug use may be new, but she has always enjoyed good sex with a lot of different guys for some years now.  Maia is no beauty queen now and really needs some serious help.

Lloyd Banks of G-Unit had a show in Montreal, Canada on December 17 at EB Lounge.  The rest of the story is a rumor, but to every rumor lies a bit of truth.  It was suggested that Banks hit someone and rolled out of the club.  On the other hand it was said that someone in the G-Unit hit someone or got hit.  However, Banks reportedly attempted to perform his show, but only got through about four songs when something went wrong.  A group of men were said to have jumped onto the stage and started a ruckus of some sort.  A melee broke out with chairs, bottles, and mics flying.  No harm came to Banks and the G-Unit security ended the show and G-Unit left.  Check out the video circulating online to see the action for yourself.  It is said that Ving Rhames refused to kiss a main in a new film where he plays a sexually confused fireman.  Although, Ving played a drag queen he is not going to kiss the same sex on the big screen.  You have officially been choked by the bow tie!
