Hello Friends, love to you all! I'd like to invite you in for a listen, a preview if you will, of my soon to be released live album "Summer Soulstice 2001" recorded at the Morning Sprig Rain festival in Laytonville, CA. It's a blistering version of the Muddy Waters tune "Got My Mojo Workin'". This track features a slammin' band; Barry Sless on guitar, Alan Hertz on drums, Liam Hanrahan on bass and Mookie Siegel on keys, I'm singing of course. It's sizzling hot sexy rock n roll and I think you'll love it. Pass it on. Love Always, Sister xoxoxo

Blessings on this glorious May Day, I hope this finds you festively dancing around the Maypole or whatever todays equivalent of pagan revelry is! In honor of this ancient holiday I have uploaded a track from my personal archives. It's a show I did with Steve Kimock & Friends at 12 Galaxies in San Francisco, 2005. It's a Ray Charles tune called "If You Were Mine". Also on the gig that night were Mookie Siegel, John Molo, Reed Mathis, and John Kimock. Man, what fun we had! Hope you enjoy it, tell all your friends! Love and Light! Sister

Well happy spring y'all. I've been in Maui since January soaking up the Island Vibration, writing lots of new songs, getting ready for the summer festival season. Posted some new tunes on myspace, thought you might like to hear 'em. I've decided to make another record, so stay posted on the therabouts and whenabouts of that. Big plans, folks, big plans. Stay blessed, be well, and keep in touch! Aloha xo Sister

Howdy Friends! I just entered a contest through Sonicbids to win a performance slot on Jam Cruise 5!! They will narrow the list down to a few worthy bands and then YOU the passangers will vote on who wins! Since Zero will all ready be there John Morgan Kimock and Liam Hanrahan will be playing with me and I'm still waiting for confirmation from John if Steve Kimock will play with us (which is very likely). I'm counting on you loyal fans and listeners that if you or your friends are going on Jam Cruise 5 to PLEASE!! vote for Sister Soul!! Wow, what a party and a great opportunity for John and I to debut some of our new material. So spread the word and help Sister Soul win a spot on Jam Cruise 5! Yes!!! Thanks so much, Love and Light, Chrissy "Sister Soul" Colangelo

Helllo good people! Well, so far Summer of 2006 has been by far my best Summer ever since Dead Tour!
Had an epic time at Harmony Festival here in Northern California with my brothers in the band Zero. So great to see my boys jamming together again with John Morgan on drums, Liam Hanrahan on bass and Chip Roland on keys! Felt like old times all born again.
Then I found out I won the Relix Magazine Jam-Off for thier August issue, and that my song Take Me Home featuring Steve Kimock and Barry Sless was going to be placed on thier compilation CD also featuring Ani Difranco! Yes!!! So, go get a copy of Relix, August '06.
I met folk legends Arlo Guthrie and Utah Phillips at the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival and got turned on to Canada's all female trio The Wailin' Jennys ( an absolute MUST hear!). Bought all three of thier records and talked with the girls for a few, very cool.
But wait it gets better! Went to High Sierra Music Festival with Zero and sat in with them on thier late night gig singing back up vocals for none other than Donna Jean! (For those who don't know her she was the only woman ever in the Grateful Dead and sang with them all during the '70's.) We did Frankilin's Tower, Gomorah, Chance in a Million and Catalina. Not only that, I was onstage with Melvin Seals, (he played keys in the Jerry Garcia Band), Martin Fierro, (he played Sax in Jerry's band Legion of Mary in the early '70's), and Donna! Wow! A huge thrill for me after following the Dead and collecting tapes for 10 years!! Proof dreams do come true.
Later that weekend at High Sierra, after a smoking set with his band Nickel Creek, I met mandolin madman Chris Thile. I was so blown away by thier set, thier music and thier stage presence!! A fabulous human being, Chris is down to earth and has a great sense of humor. I learned something very important watching them, cordless is the only way to go!
So, stay tuned here folks, (or go to sistersoul.com) because next summer, John Morgan Kimock, me, and some other fabulous musicians are going to be hitting the scene really hard with some new songs as a rock band. As the Blues Brotheres used to say "We're getting the band back together man!"
Loving you all, thanks for your constant support, doing this whole thing means next to nothing without you....Blessings Love and Light, xoxoxoxoxox Chrissy "Sister Soul"
