Hello Hello Space kittens!ok so its been a while (sorry about that!). We have just got back from Playing at this year's CMJ festival in NYC and it was great! many thanks to Hallur & Raggi from Icelandic electro monsters 'BLOODGROUP' for coming and playing synths for us.
So.. straight back into it... For those of you in the US check out this...MTV show Styl'd. Episode #104 – Airdate is 11/22/09 "Let Things Go"
Yep, we have a song on some cheesy MTV fashion show! whoop!
We are also on the next 'indie circuit' compilation LP from Lo-recordings & UPPM, and have our very own version of the 'close encounters' tune, on Winter records' new compilation LP.
new gigs include... Birmingham NEC this friday, Nottingham maltcross 5th DEC, and Nottingham rescue rooms on a monday very soon!

hello hello, Thanks to Rob Yunioshi for the ace work on film footage from our day out at Glastonbury festival. you can see the footage here on myspace & on our youtube page.
The long awaited LP (a full 60minutes in length! so it really is a long-player, not like those cheeky 45min ones!) is now available digitally at amazon mp3, and iTunes stores will be online in a few weeks. get yer mits on your copy now!!!!!
Physical release will not be until november, but will be a beautiful hand printed fold out box, with ltd edition vinyl also coming soon.
Next live show is LIBERTY festival in trafalgar square on september 5th. we'll be hanging out at the foot of Nelson's column playing tunes at 2pm.

Hello space kittens,so, Glastonbury festival....we came, we saw, we kicked it's ass! Thank you to all those who trecked all the way out to Shangri-la to see us last Saturday. It was an awesome show.
For those who missed it...fear not! we got loadsa piccies and film footage, which will be appearing online soon.
The sun was shining all day, we had 2 amazing sign language interpreters with us through our whole set (nice one Kyra & Rob!) we gave out lots of free sherbert flying saucers, some people in the crowd at Lily Allen's show were sporting mighty fine spaceships are cool tees, and to top all that we did several radio and TV interviews.
so a fun filled day all round.
Next major spaceships shows are at Nottingham's Hockley Hustle fest, and Liberty fest in London's Trafalgar square (watch this space for details).
There is now a plan in the forming for a 2010 US east coast tour.

its a little get together organized by Universal records to celebrate their 'indie circuit LP' which we are a part of.

Hello spaces cadets,In the run up to Glastonbury festival, spaceships have been busy putting the finishes to their festival live show. Featuring a five piece line up, back projections by New Giraffe city and animation by Dan Toporowski, free candy, orange spacesuits, sign language, and our very own HAL.
The band are celebrating the live show as it will be one year to the day, since Rob spaceman was discharged from rehab following his spinal cord injury last year.
spaceships track 'city rooftops' will be available to all readers of UNDER THE RADAR MAGAZINE this month as part of their digital sampler, free with every issue!
See you at the festival!

Hello space cadets,
So the buzz around our debut Glastonbury is growing! we have mentions in the NME, Efestivals, blogs, twitter, and Rob spaceman even wrote a blog for UK newspaper THE GUARDIAN.
other news this month; we have been booked to play at this year's LIBERTY festival in Trafalgar square on saturday 5th september. Its a great festival which helps to highlight work by Disabled artists throughout the UK.
This month's FREE DOWNLOAD over at www.spaceshipsarecool.com is 'closer than you think' . it's a short instrumental reworking of the close-encounters theme tune. we hope you dig it!
The long awaited LP is almost there, final mastering is well underway and it should be available from iTunes and live shows by the end of june.

Hello hello, well its been another real busy month or too here at camp spaceships.
our new website www.spaceshipsarecool.com is fully up & running, with news feed, new free download mp3 every month and exclusives from escape pod studios.
We have been booked to play this year's glastonbury festival, on the attitude is everything showcase at the DADA stage in the shangri-la fields.
its gonna be amazing! as a warm up, we are playing a gig on monday 4th may @the rescue rooms in nottingham, with our new six piece line up!

Hello Hello, one and all, well, its been 3 weeks since we sent off the big box (20Kgs !) of spaceships EPs to the U.S, and we are currently at number 109 in the CMJ college radio 200 charts. so close to the top 100 we can almost taste it!!!! if all goes to plan, summer time will see us venturing out to the states for some live shows. (fingers crossed). the first ever spaceships LP is nearly finished, we're just adding some fairy dust to go on it, it should hit itunes stores sometime early april. x hope all is good where you are... love from S.A.C MISSION CONTROL.X
