hello guys

we know its been a while since anyone has posted anything Amity related.

deepest apologies.

we have a little parting gift we have been wanting to share for quite sometime now.

Thanks to our friend Gonzo & his amazing crew we are able to bring to you...

joe & I just got done watching Ratatouille & got to talking.

i sort of surprised him w the video, so dont be mad at anyone else but me.

This message is addressed to all those who care deaply about
Amity. I (Calvin) have decided to respectfully bow out of Amity for my own personal reasons. I want to express to all of our fans and friends my sincere apologies. Many things have occurred throughout the past year in my life that i can't change. Coming to grips with these circumstances and having to face my fellow band of brothers has truely been one of the most difficult tasks I've ever faced. My love for Amity could never be expressed with words. Thats the way it has been even prior to me being a member of this incredible group. I want you all to understand that Amity has been faced with many trying times like these in the past and though it is always a hard thing to deal with, they will rise to the occassion and get through this. I have decide to teach all who might be interested in playing bass for Amity all my parts to make any and all transitions as smooth as possible. So if you, like me, have always wanted to be apart of something thats bigger than yourself and strive for a higher level of excellence, than here's your opportunity. Amity is looking for only the most committed! Again to everyone I have met and grown to love throughout these past 2 years, I am truely sorry and I will miss you all. I will periodicaly be checking Amity's myspace so you can leave messages if you like. I would love to see them and Amity really needs everyones support. I will also be doing my best to help Amity with any management responsibilities as possible.
This part of the message is for the family I've had for the past 2 years. I know I have been a pushy and sometimes an overbearing s.o.b. but I want you all to understand that my intensions have always been in your best interest. My love for you all and this entity is something I could never describe to you. I need you guys to understand how sorry I am and that these decisions I've made have not been easy. You are all my family now and that means you will never get rid of me, at least as a presence. LOL! I can only hope that you all have learned something from me and whatever that is that you take that with you wherever that long yellow brick road takes you. Know that when you need someone to break down some doors or crack some skulls, I'm always a phone call away. Be strong and committed and never lose sight of your dreams! Thats all you'll need, believe me. I love you all!!!!

Alright, just in case you haven't heard/read... recording start tomorrow in the lovely moutains of GA... No cell fone and no net access for 2 weeks! We have a HUGE show going on in the middle of tour and we wont have much time to promote it.... Evan ( Our guitarist ) and I made a bet... I said we could sell 100 presale for March 15 @ Chain Reaction with Park, Leftover, The Silence, & Cavil at Rest !!! If we dont meet that quota, I have to do his laundry for the entire SUMMER TOUR, which may include WARPED TOUR!!! That is going to suck... we smell as it is, now increase our stinkyness by 10i8r9ew788785 !!! Please dont make me have Evan's musk all over me for 3-5 months!!! Tickets are only $10 !!! It would be awesome if we could get to see all of you in the middle of tour, your support would mean the world to us !!! Information is posted below!!! WOOOOOOEFFINHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! That's right, kids. We're leaving for tour Saturday morning to go out to the east coast to record our very first full length album. We can't wait. We've been home for almost 4 months and we're more than ready to bring the rock back to all of you. Here are some of our dates on the way out to record: Saturday Feb 4 - Tucson, AZ - Gameworks Monday, Feb 6 - Las Cruces, NM - The Bean Tuesday, Feb 7 - Austin, TX - The Redrum Wednesday, Feb 8 - Spring, TX - Java Jazz w/ Armor For Sleep, Boys Night Out, Chiodos Thursday, Feb 9 - Houston, TX - Walters' On Washington Saturday, Feb 11 - Atlanta, GA - Swayze's Once we finish recording, we are going to tour our way back to the west coast for a two week tour with Park (Lobster Records). Today I received a show offer from a girl in the Seattle area who, for her Senior class project, is organizing a benefit show for a local children's hospital. The date is Saturday, April 30th. I had talked with her a few months ago about doing it but the date she gave this morning me won't fit with our tour schedule (we'll be halfway across the country by then). It's going to be a really good show for a good cause. If any bands in the northwest or anyone in a band willing to tour to Seattle and back is interested, please email me at evanmania@hotmail.com.
