Day Four
Fortunately we had a day off today and a much needed one at that after all that work! Hide picked us up from the hotel after breakfast and took us out for the day shopping to the various parts of Tokyo. We went for lunch at a Brazilian Steakhouse and ate more meat than you can fit in you. With all of the party having different food stuff requests (no wheat, no fat, no meat, no dairy; we like to make it easy) Hide had found us an absolute belter, no-one stuck to their previous diet and throughly enjoyed the following meal.
A bit more shopping then off to see the temple in the Sensoji area (apols if that's incorrect) and market for a wee bit more shopping, nearly got run over by the Tokyo mafia, bought more stuff and got back in the car for our departure and waved goodbye to Tokyo, what an amazing view as you leave the city of the Rainbow bridge, we also grabbed some more food on the way to the airport.
Hide took us to Narita airport and bid us good health and off went the KOB back to dear old blighty!
We hope to go back to Japan in the new year to promote our next single, be great to see you all again, thank you to our japanese fans and to our hosts at Dreamusic especially HIde.
Thanks

Day Three
Another afternoon lobby call and Hide found 3 young chaps in a slightly worse for wear state. Those Adidas shades came in handy for more than fashion purposes.
Sat in Tokyo bay with a strong ice coffee and some rather interesting looking snacks we gazed out at the city across the water and spouted vague greetings to passers by.
We boarded the HMS Party and made our way up through the various floors crowded with the team of organisers, copious amounts of alcohol, beautiful food and scantilly clad japanese ladies ready to serve, alcohol that is.
As we climbed the last set of stairs we found a view of Tokyo, a blazing light show and wicked little stage and DJ booth. The excitement was evident and a crew member brought us a nice refreshing beverage, who knows what was in it!
Sound check and a few photos followed and a TV crew turned up, cameras, big lights, techy people, and set up in a quiet corner. KOB were beckoned over with our trusty Translator Miss Amita and we did some interviews for Japanese Music TV which we hope to get the videos for in a few weeks after they've aired it themselves.
So we mingled a little, had a the odd beverage, chatted to fans and then made our way up to the top deck where the boat was literally rocking. it was amazing, there was a big light show and the DJ was bouncing out tunes, young ladies having a little boogie on the dance floor and then they introduced us, well i think they did, it was in Japanese and they said 'Kids On Bridges' at the end of it and then looked at us so we walked on and did our thing.
The crowd went nuts for us as we smashed through our set with the Tokyo skyline behind us, the Music on TV crew filmed the show and we're deffo gonna get that for you all to see. Chris got the crowd jumping, the ship was swaying from side to side and the strobes lit up the boat like bonfire night. it was all round one the best gigs we've ever done. We finished our set to a rapturous applause and photos and autographs, you've gotta do it people, it's all about the fans.
Then Hide took us out to a traditional Japanese restaurant for our last evening meal (although it was in the small hours of the morning) with him and we ate some seriously crazy foods. Salmons eggs, Octopus in egg dumplings, chicken, pork and beef like you've never seen them and a desert that contained tea ice cream, cornflakes, potatoes, beans, goja berries, cream and rice cakes that looked like jelly babies. Proper nuts!

Day Two
4pm rise and off to the Dreamusic offices where we were greeted by the staff with a big round of applause, we gave our thank you speeches and were taken to a meeting room where did some radio and TV interviews for Japanese press.
Then our beautiful manager Double D had organised a little Adidas meeting for us. On to Adidas we went and we did shop. Couple of pairs of Tokyo designed Trainers each, Adidas/Diesel jeans, tee shirts, jackets, shades, belts, the lot. Thank you Adidas Tokyo you did us proud. All clothing can be found on the pics.
Dressed in our finest gear we were taken to the club 'Studio Flower' where we did a little sound check and sorted out the visuals for the show that night. then back to the hotel and out for some tea. We were rather peckish by now and as stunning as Japanese food is we didn't have the patience for the minimal amounts a pair of chop sticks can hold so we went for a nice big burger and chips and chicken and big greasy meaty foods accompanied by some sangria.
Bring on the clubs, our first show in Japan. Chris wiped the floor with a wee DJ set before the live show, Danny and Danny made dents in the VIP area with a lot of free expensive champagne and some lovely company. Thank you again to Dreamusic who set us up with the VIP area, great show, great company and an all round good night which if i recall right ended in KOB and co walking out at 6am to broad daylight and Japanese businessman going about there business.
A short cab ride later and a skype call to me mam, breakfast in the hotel and some kip and we were ready to start again.

Day one
An early start and Big Stevey Ranks dropped off 'Kids on bridges' at the airport, Manchester to be precise, a full english was entered into followed by a short sharp shot of Jack Daniels courtesy of the duty free people and so began the trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan.
On entering the plane chris remembers only hearing a loud gasp of shock from the dishevelled wreck in front of him. To his amazement Danny proceeded to rip apart the arms of the chairs in a bid to find his tv, which unfortunately did not exist. KOB were left to watch 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past', and as dishy and Matthew McConaghey is, it's just not the same sharing a tele for 12 hours! Management received a call on the and this mistake WILL NOT occur again!
The relief of Narita airport and the sight of Danny Donnelly, manager extraordinaire was evident. Our Dreamusic Records host, Hide, watered us up and rushed us off into a big blacked out luxury vehicle, reclining seats, tv etc, bring on the D-list celebrity lifestyle.
Took our bags to the hotel, very nice, and Hide took us for jellied seaweed, beans in your desert and wasabi, mindblowing stuff then straight to the HMV in Shibuya, Tokyo where we were introduced to the manager who pull off the wall poster of us and we signed it gracefully for him. We were sent across the room to find our album stacked up on a stand of it's very own (pictures available) and we stood and ogled it for a while. Quite surreal to see and even more bizarre when every record store we went to had us in there in between Calvin Harris and Little Boots and other international artists.
After a quick kipperooney we went back out for a bit more fodder, were introduced to our tour translator and then on to party. Hide, our label host, had already contacted his boys at the club who had held us back a nice little VIP corner with free drinks all night, translator saw what was coming and left swiftly. There was pictures of celebs all over the wall with the DJ's, Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Bon Jovi, Harrison Ford, Paris Hilton and now, KIDS ON BRIDGES. DJ flattered us as we sat enjoying the company of some Dutch Gap models by playing one of our tracks and sending over the waiter to ask us for a photo and to sign the album, we did so with gratitude and continued to party the night away, one liners aplenty, drinks flowing and some dance moves i've never seen before from Donnelly.
Tokyo sherbert drivers aren't keen on picking up 3 wasted noisy westerners and when we did managed to find one it was damn lucky Hide had left us with cards with the hotel address on or we'd still be lying outside that club.
And so ended day one of our whirlwind adventure in Japan.
