B.D.K. Blog - Sara Del Rey Reaches Out And Grabs The Attention Of The Wrestling World!

12/21/2009:

I love the sport of wrestling, but sometimes wrestling is more business than pure sport.

Heck, when I signed up, I didn't even know wrestling was a business. I saw a sport where athletes tested each other. I also saw a very clear lack of strong women and felt like wrestling was something that you could work hard at and get better at...I felt like there was a place specifically for me. So that is what I did: I worked hard, got stronger, got faster and got better.

It never crossed my mind that other women would not be doing the same.

It never crossed my mind that women would use their looks to get places.

It never crossed my mind to just stop training at a certain point.

And it never crossed my mind that I would be so unique.

I have been to many different places, and I have seen a lot of things...but what always sticks out no matter where I go are the hard workers. They are usually the quiet ones getting walked all over by the loudmouths, the politicians and the egomaniacs. The hard workers just keep their heads down and get through it with little appreciation. That was me...for a while. But look where it got me. Another out-of-shape opponent that could barely keep up with me. Another "pretty" partner that couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag. Don't even get me started on Shark Girl orBullfight Sora. I thought working hard and keeping my mouth shut would be enough. Guess not.

Now it's finally time to redefine myself!

Now I am part of something bigger and better than anything I've known before, bigger than CHIKARA or independent wrestling. When the Bruderschaft acts, the world sits up and takes notice.

Well now it's time for the world to sit up and take notice of ME. I'm not going to waste any more time on farm animals or little girls who barely have the coordination to lace their boots. I'm not going to waste any more time begging for competition or issuing open challenges no one dares to answer.

I gave a chance to ANYONE who wanted to step up and no one did! Well CHIKARA, it's time for you to step up, or get out of our way. Either way, it's your funeral.

CHIKARA Blog: Leonard F. Chikarason Speaks Out For The First Time Since His Demotion!

12/18/2009:

To say November was a bad month would be an understatement. Actually, the majority of the month was lots of fun. All it takes is a few bad days to make the other 27 seem inconsequential.

On November 22nd, coping with the effects of a mild concussion (thanks to Claudio,) while headed toward my office, I was greeted not by friends, family or well-wishers, but by Dieter, one of the Wrestle Factory trainees. I do my best to not only know all the students, but also to be friendly and cordial to them as well. Trying to give them tasks during the show to make them feel a part of things, other than just setting up chairs or sweeping out the ring. Dieter, I recognized from his frequent duty of making sure the hat was always filled with names in case a replacement wrestler would need to be drawn at random. His trainers always described him as being exceptionally responsible...well, at least one of them did. Funny the things you notice in hindsight.

On this particular day, Dieter was in my office - locked! I have (had?) an open door policy and never locked my door, thanks to my foolish belief in the honor system. Dieter greeted me with strange information. Besides the fact a student was conveying the news, my performance review is ALWAYS in May, at Aniversario time.

So off I go for another performance review, even if it's six months ahead of schedule. Everything was going great since May, except for the chaos at the end of "Three-Fisted Tales." Well, to my surprise, the Board of Directors sported a few new faces since our last meeting. I was ushered into a seat at the head of the table where a very stern, European gentleman informed me that by a close vote, I was being removed from my position as Director of Fun!

I thought I was doing a pretty good job these last several years. All of my past performance reviews were always A++ (never the elusive A+++). This time, no paperwork, no brunch, no nothing!

The silver lining to the dark cloud of my November was that I would still be at the Commentation Station. Of the new menial tasks I have been demoted to, this is the one I like best. I enjoy calling the action month in and month out, and while my checkbook will hurt without my "Director of Fun" stipend, I trust this move will at least keep me out of harm's way. Once is enough for me...and I never want to have a run in with Claudio like that ever again!

B.D.K. Blog - "Carpenter Ant" Pinkie Sanchez Tells His Tale!

12/14/2009:

Well, hello CHIKARA. How the tables have turned. And now the man who couldn't find a friend in the locker room has the most powerful allies in pro-wrestling. If you can imagine this - apparently the much-admired Pinkie Sanchez wasn't good enough for the Neo Solar Temple. They deserted me in the middle of the ring back in February. I guess a victory here or there doesn't matter to guys like Mike Quackenbush or Mitch Ryder...because they just moved right on and forgot all about me. But Claudio didn't. He saw how badly I wanted in. Waiting around just in case my name got pulled out of the hat. Lugging the ring from venue to venue to get noticed. He saw that I was starving to be more than an afterthought.

Like everyone else, I watched as some random dude in a green costume

just walked out at the right moment and all of a sudden, there was another member of The Colony. That ALWAYS stayed with me, and it put a knot in my stomach. Why was this amateur so easy to accept while I had to play the outcast? And when I was approached about an opportunity to join something - to be something bigger than the laughing stock, the castoff of the CHIKARA roster - I knew just what to do, and how to go about it. It was all in the timing. Wait for the right moment. Wear the right outfit. Show them I could be trusted. And I gotta admit there were times when I thought it would never work. I thought they'd see right through my disguise. But suddenly, the wrestlers welcomed me in, as their equal. No one was laughing at me as I went about rearranging my opponents in the ring. Now everyone could see the potential that was always inside of me. And the geeks out there figured I was a comic book character from the future. Great Scott - someone needs a reality check!

I not only exposed CHIKARA's heroes The Colony for the clowns they are, but I'm going to help dismantle CHIKARA brick by brick. Like a Carpenter Ant would, I bore into the house of CHIKARA and destroyed its foundation. I could have been one of you, if you'd only let me. If you'd only ACCEPTED me...I could have been thebest of you. You think we just want revenge on UltraMantis Black? Not me. I want to watch as CHIKARA crumbles to the ground around you. I want you all to see the biggest mistake of your lives was overlooking me.

Are you pleased with your handiwork, UltraMantis Black? Did you think the Bruderschaft would allow you to keep possession of the Eye of Tyr indefinitely? How you will grow to rue the day Dr. Cube gave you my father's name. And for what? What have you really accomplished in the time you held its power? You found a new sidekick. Bravo, Mantis. Bravo.

On this very site, you have boasted in your blogs about making CHIKARA your plaything. That your dominion over CHIKARA will be absolute. How you must delight in deluding yourself... but this is the effect the Eye has on the weak-minded. The collector who traded the Eye into my family's collection was much the same as you. An insect in a world of men.

Tell me, bug, how will you wage war against the Bruderschaft? Who can you trust? What if our 8th member is among your troops? Do you really trust Crossbones? Strange that he did not come to your aid on 22 November.

In many ways, Mantis, you have already defeated yourself. So now, watch helplessly as we rob you of what you claim to be yours. CHIKARA is no longer your plaything. It belongs to us, inside and out. I have studied the art of war for years before taking the moniker "Ares." The beauty of a battle plan is not in the overtures, but in the details. And as you have seen, my Bruderschaft is unmatched when it comes to executing a plan down to the smallest detail. We have stunned and incapacitated the whole of CHIKARA in a moment. Now observe how we will bend it to our will.

A warning to the rest of you: the Bruderschaft will be second to no one. You will each have your turn to be our cannon fodder. Your alliances are meaningless to us.
