Exhibit: July 18-August 17, 2008
Group exhibit of digital photography. Contest was open to artists ages 19-30. Four winners will be chosen by the BAC Gallery Committee to receive prizes. Their images will also be made into 4x6 postcards available for purchase at the BAC. Set of 4 postcards is $5.

Opening Reception: July 18, 7-9pm
Chicago DJ Chris Somera sets the mood for an evening of fun and dancing at the BAC. Winners from the digital photo contest will be announced and awards will be given. Mingle and enjoy complimentary pizza by Tata's Pizza. Cash bar.

BAC Summer Wine Tasting (21+)

Wines presented by Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery.


Wild Blossom Meadery makes a line of Chicago South Side wines that include South Side Shiraz South Side Sangiovese, and South Side Cabernet & Merlot. They specialize in honey wine made in Chicago 's Beverly neighborhood using honey produced locally and along Lake Michigan shoreline. Wines will be sampled and discussed starting at 6:30pm. Free entertainment will be offered at the BAC's Cool Jazz in the Courtyard from 7-9pm.


Participants will be able to order wines and sign up wine making classes at Bev Art Brewer & Winemaker Supply, where Wild Blossom wines are produces.


Event organized by the BAC Young Adult Board.

BAC Auxiliary Presents $3,500 to Beverly Arts Center
 
(CHICAGO, June 13, 2007) – At the June 12 meeting, the Beverly Arts Center Auxiliary presented a check for $3,500 to the Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St. Chicago, to be used for new outdoor banners.   The Auxiliary provides the BAC with volunteers, and plans and presents fund raisers, such as the popular benefit auction held in February, that help to finance special projects at the Center. Founded in 1967, the Beverly Arts Center is a not-for-profit facility dedicated to providing fine arts programming and education to south/southwest Chicago and suburban communities.
