Hey to everyone... I was bored so i figured i'd update everyone on what the guys are doing these days.

First off if you didn't catch IEG this spring we're sorry (the sold out show at Mac's was amazing). We might do something again this spring depending on schedules. All the guys are very very busy.

Greg should be getting on an airplane right now to fly home from the United Kingdom, he's been over there for the past two weeks with his new(est) band The Medic Droid, they just released an album this summer on Modern Art/Epic Records and are touring extensively, they'll be headed all over the US in November and December, make sure you try to make it out and see them.

Nate Dogg should be going to bed right about now. He's been home all fall going to school here in Michigan. He toured for a week this fall with A Letter To You, they just put up a pretty funny video on their myspace with plenty of Nate Dogg they also have an upcoming show in a week or so here in Lansing at Mac's.

Adam has been busy. He's working full time at a music store and their are rumors he's starting a pop-punk cover band. We'll update you when that happens!

Hopefully this finds you in good spirits and Greg has a few remixes that might end up on this page at some point, he was showing them to me in his car before he left and they rule. I'm really excited to see where they end up!

Lets party like rockstars and kick a little ass,

-Irving

I must say. I am very proud of what this band has accomplished. 2006 was a very bittersweet year for us. Everything we accomplished was amazing.

Thank you to our fans, you've stuck with us through thick and thin. We cannot thank you enough.

We have had a really wild month and we have had to make some decisions. One of those is to take a break with IEG. We are all friends and we will always be. as for what lies ahead.. stay tuned to see...

It may be nothing and it may be everything. I do not know. It depends on what happens from now until March 25th.

One thing that is very important to me is "the scene", because it's all a chain. with out small local bands, larger national bands cannot be successful. The best part about local bands is that you can spred the word about them. It's something that is yours. your cousens, penpals and half the time your best friend has never heard of this amazing band. You can spred the word about them. Meet them and be friends with them. It's something that is yours. I cannot tell you how many people have told their friends about us. It seems like everyday i meet someone new who heard from a friend about us.

At the same time, there are a lot of things that hurt bands like us.
We all burn cds. and its a great technology. just think sometimes when you burn a cd how much you are actually helping that band. New rule. If the band is signed (on the back it will say " ____ records" burn away (these bands have such exposure and finacial backing that they dont take as big of a blow from burning). If it's an unsigned band buy it. Even if you end up hating the cd and throwing it out your car window on the expressway. That $5-$10 bucks does so much for them. Allows them to tour, record, buy a big gray van and most importantly pay their parents back.

Go to shows in your area... it's important.

T-shirt winner for the fan pictures contest is Jorie from Illinois! Congrats!

-----------------------------------------------------------

We are selling our '98 Dodge 15 Pass. Van for $6000. It has 80,000-90,000 miles and is in great condition and runs great too... message us for more info...

-----------------------------------------------------------

We have tons of merch left.. Including CDs... (i owe my parents a ton of $ so help me out)

Local music beat: Rap-punk act connects online

By Anne Erickson
Lansing State Journal

Lansing-based IEG crafts clever, hyped-up tunes

For young rock hopefuls, IEG offers some valuable advice in Punk 101: The Internet is everything.

Earlier this year, the Lansing-based punk group met a pair of California and Florida bands via MySpace. They ended up booking a national tour with the bands through the site. Now IEG is on the eve of big tour, this one with Chicago's Blacktop Morning.

That's a band the guys met - yep - over e-mail.

"After we got to know each other through e-mails, we helped Blacktop Morning get a cool show in Lansing and we became friends," said Adam Fliehman, IEG's lead singer and guitarist.

So that makes IEG:

A) Young enough and hip enough, to be a part of the musician-meets-blogosphere craze; and

B) A group that's about to have two national tours under its belt, with members who are barely old enough to vote.

We think that's pretty impressive.

Fliehman, drummer Greg Rudawski and then-bass player Max Holland formed IEG in 2002. Bass player Nate Wethy (just call him "Nate Dogg") replaced Holland in January 2005.

The guys set out to craft a sound that's no doubt revolutionary. Call it a punk and rap mash-up - part Blink-182, part Busta Rhymes. IEG weaves crazy rhyming skills between danceable drumbeats and three-chord punk riffs as catchy as any from Green Day's "American Idiot." Sample the sounds at www.myspace.com/ieatglue.

The band's debut full-length, "Say Goodnight to L.A.," is for sale up at Smartpunk Records (www.smartpunk.com). The disc is a parody of pop culture and famous types who are "pretending to be something that they're not," said Fliehman.

Take "100 Dollar Bills & Cheap Thrills," the album's first single.

"The song is basically saying that being famous and living in L.A. is not all it's cracked up to be," Fliehman said.

It's funny, clever, hyped-up stuff. But that's not all that surprising, judging from the excitable, almost out-of-hand tone of this interview.

"Hey, Anne, you're only nice to us because we have three letters in our band name like AFI!" jokes Fliehman, referring to my current favorite band.

C'mon, guys - that's not the only reason.

Tour buzz: The band's tour with Blacktop Morning, coined Early Detection in Vital tour, kicks off in West Lafayette, Ind. on Dec. 2. IEG gets warmed up at Mac's Bar on Friday.

.. Show details: Show with IEG, Hyperbole, MSE, doors open at 6 p.m. Friday, Mac's Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave., 484-6795; $7, all ages.

So we have some pretty cool news..

In March we will be going out to Lockport, New York to work with Doug White. He produced some really great records including Gym Class Heroes "The Papercut Chronicals" which is an album that has been very inpiring to the band. So that is really cool for us! We will be recording 4 songs with him. We have some new songs written so watch out for those!

We have some new merch designs and those t shirts and buttons should be out by December!

We have some new web pages too.. check out the links under the band member names on our page. Friends or enemies is a really cool site that is produced by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy!

You stay classy San Diego!
