Singer/songwriter/recordin..g artist Elman Authement released his first solo CD in September. The album is in the genre of Contemporary Christian and is titled “Glorious Songs.” It contains ten original songs- all written by Elman. Elman is one of the primary songwriters for the three TFC (Thibodaux Family Church) albums released over the last four years. Folks in the Houma, LA area regularly see his work performed on HTV. Artists in Tennessee, Texas, and Florida have covered his songs.

Singer/recording artist/songwriter Lyn Cantrelle has two albums released in the last four years. This is quite an accomplishment for an independent artist! Her music is very popular in the east- the Far East- like Japan! She gets royalty checks every month from ITune sales of her albums and the majority of those sales come from abroad! This just in: Lyn finished the fourteenth and final track on her third album! This album is a collection of classic country songs. Release is expected very soon! She’s still not finished! She’s already started work on an album that will contain mostly original songs!

Joyous Sounds is wrapping up the production of a Christmas album. It should go to mastering before November 1st. The album contains some of the seasonal classics but also has some original songs penned by leader and songwriter Kevin Gaubert. Joyous Sounds released an album in 2008 titled “As One Voice”.

Dean Shoultz is a guitarist/songwriter/singe..r and CTO of a very successful software company. He also just released his debut solo album! The album has ten tracks of mostly original songs written by Dean (the title track is “All the Pretty Horses” and is a classic children’s ballad).

Contemporary Christian band More Than Sunday released their self-titled debut CD in August. The band is lead by guitar wizard Lonnie Lapeyrouse. It contains ten highly inspirational cover songs!

Songwriter/singer/recordin..g/artist and Physical Therapist Drew Rice continues adding to his extensive catalog of original songs. He released his debut album “Uncharted Waters” in 2004 to awesome reviews. Since, he’s written and recorded (fully produced) almost thirty more songs! Drew continues to attract the attention of a bunch of Nashville cats.

Songwriter/singer/recordin..g artist Eric Geibel is adding to his catalog of original songs. Eric has been in the studio consistently since 2006. His first album release “Just the Other Day” continues to get rave reviews. He topped the Cashbox Indie charts this summer with the song “Trouble Knows I’m Here” His latest offering “Never Forgotten” has been played on FM radio stations around the country!

Singer/songwriter Jenna Nicole has been in the studio since last February. So far, she has recorded five songs from various songwriters. Her MySpace site has gotten tens of thousands of plays this year! Jenna is invited to Nashville, Branson, and other country music venues consistently. However, she does most of her recording in Houma, Louisiana. Proof again you can keep your money local and get world-class results!

Creole Kid is in the studio working on his debut album. Have you ever heard a “Country slow jam”? Well, check out his MySpace site and listen!

Songwriter Pamela George is in the studio recording original songs. So far, she’s recorded two songs and more are on the way!

Singer/songwriter/recordin..g artist Hugh Watson officially released his debut album “The Drowning Man” on December 3, 2008. The CD has sold out twice on CDBaby- his online international distributor! His MySpace player gets plays that are normally reserved for acts signed by record companies! Along with his electronic distribution, a regional convenience store picked up the album for distribution to over 30 locations. The locations are in South Louisiana and Mississippi. Hugh is back in the studio working on the follow-up.

Ron “Black” Guidry is considered a local (South Louisiana) spokesperson for the Cajun culture. He has a successful swamp tour business. For years, Black has been entertaining audiences of all ages with his ‘storytelling’ songs. MTV featured him in March on the program “How’s Your News.” Black has a new album out titled “Du Lac You Want!” It’s a must-have!

Ken Wells is well known in South Louisiana even though he’s been living outside of Cajun country since the late ‘70’s. He returns here every given opportunity. Ken has an outstanding list of credits: Four novels with Random House (all about life in South Louisiana), he’s a Pulitzer Prize finalist, former editor for the Wall Street Journal and Conde Nast Portfolio, has one book with Yale Press, and two books published by Wall Street Journal books! Ken is also a dedicated songwriter and is half of the eclectic Cajun/Americana band Crawdiddy. Ken became a “Louisiana Legend” this past summer. He also just won the Harry Chapin Award!

Martin Folse has been a regular in the studio for almost six years! He has an album of all original songs out now! He’s been back in the studio cutting some New Orleans Saints related tracks!

Singer Glenn Chance was in the studio and recorded a cover of the Heart classic “These Dreams”.

Singer/songwriter Richie Toups is currently working on a new track for his next CD. Richie released “The Right Time” in 2007.

Lindsay Mendez is about to release her debut album “Reaching Out”. Lindsay chose songs from some very talented songwriters out of Nashville. She also chose the Crawdiddy classic “South Louisiana.” Some of the album was cut at Digital Sac-a’-Lait Productions.

Sunburst Media hired Digital Sac-a’-Lait Productions to produce a jingle for a local swimming pool company. The project was completed in August.

The studio is moving into a larger place as of November 15, 2009. Digital Sac-a’-Lait Productions has successfully catered to songwriters- 39 album releases and going! However, the larger space will accommodate a diversity of clients such as bands or large ensembles.
