My mother, Paula Savoy, has recently passed away.
You can see a small tribute to my mom on our video channel.
She was a wild and colorful woman and she'll be greatly missed.

Hi,
I just wanted to thank everybody that come to the show. You made us feel very welcome and it was one of the most enjoyable shows we've ever had the chance to play!
The hall itself is so beautiful and the acoustics are fantastic. Erin, the harpist, loved the sound of her harp just reverberating around the room....
Being back in London after such a long time was special. We were staying at the royal garden hotel in kensington. Paul and I used to live right around the corner above dino's and across from the church. We were wondering if anybody at the show used to hang around outside our flat? I think I saw a few familiar faces, but not sure.
Except for the bloody, pissing down rain.....London was the best and we truly hope we can make it back sooner rather than later.
Thanks again for making it a special night!

Hey,
It's been awhile.
We've just posted some new songs on the site. As always, all comments are appreciated!
We're really excited. Our album is getting released in January in the U.K. We're scheduled to get a release by Genepool Records in January. Check out their website at genepoolrecords.com. We've checked the company out and they seem great. Very music driven which seems to becoming a rare thing.
Hmmm, let's see. We've come back from Oslo and we are seriously enjoying the weird summer weather in NYC. Granted, it's due to global warming and should really be freaking me out....which it is....but still.
I went to a dinner recently for the man who wrote the book "Banker to the poor". His name is Muhammad Yunus and i'm now an official groupy. I never thought Micro-lending could be so fascinating. The man has taken a hundred million people out of poverty. I urge you to buy the book.
Anyway, I'll write again soon.

Hey,
Today we're releasing Savoy Songbook in Norway. Our new single comes out "Best Western Beauty". It's my favorite song on the new album. Listen to the juno riff. I think Paul came up with something great.
We've spent the summer working and going to places like Iceland. We've also spent a lot of time being sulky about the sucky weather in Norway.
We're very happy to have something to look forward to and hope you all like the album.
We'll be reading the message boards for your reactions so let us know!

It seems the lyric tab isn't working. Thanks for such nice comments.

Here's the lyric for Karma Boomerang.

Let's go down and see the man
throw some coins in the Karma Boomerang.

We're going to Grey Dog.
Somewhere down on Carmine st.
Throw flowers in the air
and slowly come awake.

Let's go down and see the man
throw some coins in the Karma Boomerang.

Above us drunken birds
news filled with bloody murders.
Skylines and broken words.

You take your crystal pill
you get an instant thrill
you get your cup refilled and slowly come away.

Let's go down and see the man
throw some coins in the Karma Boomerang.

Is this the year that we will turn it on it's side,
and lead a stationary life.

Let's go down and see the man
throw some coins in the Karma Boomerang.

Karma is a boomerang.

We're celebrating. Today we released our new single Karma Boomerang and have posted it up on the site. It's part of our new album called Savoy Songbook Vol. 1.
It will be two cd's. One that is a complilation album containing alot of the singles and another cd that we've recorded at Loho in NYC. This cd has alot of new material as well as some of our favorite songs re-recorded.
The making of this album has been great fun and I hope you all like the first single. We're looking forward to reading some comments.
all for now,

Hey all,

Sorry for not responding to all the inbox messages. There are quite a lot of them > One of these days I will get to it.

Paul and I are planning to update this site, but we've been crazy busy!
We're in Arizona at the moment. It's all disney like cactus and red clay dust everywhere. Very beautiful and quiet.
Tomorrow it should be about 95 and sunny. I've been meaning to work on the site but it's all I can do to wipe the sweat off my forehead. The really strange thing which i'm still trying to understand....everywhere we go, the hotels have sauna's.

It's been freezing in NYC recently and I feel like hibernating. Walking around with scarfs wrapped around everybody's faces. Like a weird, winter apocalypse. Garbage blowing up and down the street. I kept expecting mad max to come zooming down my street and the way mel gibson has been acting, I truly wouldn't be suprised.
I had a cool brush with fame in the middle of all this frigid weather. I was standing at a stop sign, waiting for the light to change and noticed a guy standing next to me. I had just told someone earlier in the day that of all the celebrities in the world, there was only one I had any interest in meeting. And yes, if I correctly read the eyes above the scarf today...he was standing next to me. Mike Myers.
Did I say hello. Of course not.
We've finished everything and are planning the release of the new album. The first single will be "Karma Boomerang". We still haven't completely agreed on a name for the album. We're really excited to preview it and we'll be putting a few clips of the songs up on myspace soon.
Thanks to everybody who keeps coming back and sending messages and posting comments. We're not able to repond to everybody but we read them all and they mean alot to us.
all for now,
Lauren

Okay,
where were we?
I see Patty Smith walking around the village nearly everyday. It's so strange to see someone iconic like she is, stopping off to buy some gum. You know what I mean?

We have now finished mastering most of the album with George Marino.
It was great to hear the songs on huge speakers.
I'm getting that pre album buzz that comes when you feel you've done a good job and worked hard. No one has heard it yet so you can still pretend it's amazing and you can walk around feeling like you've got a secret. It's my favorite part of making an album and i'll be a little sad when it's over.
