Dear LSF Fans, Past and Present,
I am writing you to let you know that we have decided to bring our 10 year run with LSF to a close. We have had an amazing ride and have been lucky enough to meet most of you and to do what we love to do for so long. I am lucky to say that we have made some of the best friends anyone could ask for and we have been privileged to see most of our country as well as Japan. As a whole we have accomplished all of our original goals for being in a band that we set out to do when we were just high school students. Three full length albums, an EP, many many compilation appearances, a few TV ads, a video game soundtrack and even a song in the credits of a movie. I would never have thought that anything I was a part of would be heard by someone in another state, let alone another country and we thank you all for being a part of this experience as well as for the encouragement. So along with this letter we invite all of you ( I know so many of you live out of state and I wish we could see you too) to our last 2 shows ever.

March 14th @ The Raven in Oswego, NY
March 15th @ The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, NY

We will post all of the remaining details as far as time and cost of the shows on our Myspage page 2 http://www.myspace.com/longsinceforgotten

We will also make sure to post about any future endeavors we may be apart of so we can still, hopefully, be a part of your musical lives. Once again THANK YOU to every one of you for your support throughout the last 10 years in any shape or form that you have contributed whether it was an accidental listen at a show or a die hard fan from day one. We love you all!

Josh, Caleb, Jeff and Steve.

Hey everyone,

Steve here... Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be living in Montana for the next five months or so attending the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. So, I obviously won't be playing any shows with the band for a while. I will be in good company though, Jeff and I got an apartment together, and he is also attending the school... If you want to keep in touch, send me an email: stevestockin@mac.com

All the best,

Steve

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to write a quick note about the demo that we posted on this page last night and a few other random thoughts...

Josh, Caleb and I recorded the song this past week (with Josh behind the controls), and we hope you enjoy! It has been really fun for me to start recording again, although these are just demos, it feels great to be actually recording new material again. Over the past couple of years we have worked on stuff here and there, but this is the first time we have seriously began some sort of pre-production for a future project. Josh has a ton of new song ideas that we have been working with lately, so there should be more soon!

We have been playing our last few shows as a three piece... kind of weird... kind of fun... kind of... sexy?

Anyways, I have had a bunch of people ask me lately what is going on with the band... Are we breaking up? Is Jeff out of the band? etc...

The answer to both is no... After last year did not turn out so awesome (except Japan, after that it all went to shit), we have just been taking it easy... Trying to let things come naturally, and just have fun with being in a band again... At least that is my perspective of the situation. Jeff is not out of the band, or being kept out of the loop of the songwriting process. He is just being warm in Florida... ass... But, I am not jealous... Seriously though, he is still definitely a member of LSF, and we still love him to death...

I guess that is all for now. Stay tuned,

Steve!

Our band mate and long time friend Jeff French has made the decision to move to FLorida and has moved most of his stuff there last week. He is not officially leaving the band but is putting it aside at the moment to pursue some very cool career goals. He will be missed greatly by all of his hometown friends and especially us.

Also we have been at kind of a slow point for the band. Immediately after The Theft was released in the U.S. we lost contact with our record label, Evo Recordings. It took us, and our manager about 2 months to get the official word that Evo lost a ton of money on a previous release and had no money to invest in the promotion and support of any kind for the record. This was a big blow to us and we have been slowly trying to recover from this. There are some things in the works but we will most likely have to come up with new creative ideas to further our endeavors since our previous efforts seem to have come to screeching halts.

The song writing process is still continuing and will hopefully produce some very cool results in the near future in some form. The whole shape of the music industry in changing and we are just trying to figure out a way to evolve to do what we love to do and have fun while doing it.

So please, keep in touch with us. We will keep rotating our songs in the player every so often to try to keep your ears entertained. And if you talk to Jeff make sure you wish him good luck! I am sure he is enjoying the weather a lot more now!

Dear friends and casual readers,
So it appears that the newspapers have already made our most recent misfortune known to a lot of you already. Incase that isn't the case I will fill the rest of you in. At around 6pm on Wednesday we noticed that our trailer padlock had been cut off with bolt cutters and several things were missing. After determining that this wasn't some prank we called the police who took our statement and an itemized list of what was missing (a guitar, a bass, a guitar stand case, and 2 cases with effects pedals). After a band discussion about the who what when where why and how's, we decided to take a break for the night and do some thinking about what we needed to do. Around 9:30pm I went on Ebay, after thinking about a similar think that happened to a friends band. I logged in and did a quick search for a few of the items and sorted them by closest to my location. There it was. no more than 4 hours after we discovered it missing, was Jeff's guitar, listed with serial number, detailed to the very scuff marks and straplocks still in tact. I asked my room mate to send the seller a message about an unrelated item. The next morning the seller wrote back with his address and phone number which we then matched to a pawn shop on West Genessee St. Later that day, accompanied by the officer that took our statement and some detectives that were straight out of Court T.V. we went to said pawn shop and recovered Jeff's Telecaster and Caleb's p bass.

We are very thankful for the Syracuse police cooperation in helping to retrieve these items.

To the people who stole our belongings: You are scum. I hope the amount of crack you purchased with the whopping $200 you got from the pawn shop was worth it. You will get what you deserve someday.

Still missing:
A pedal case containing the following pedals - Line 6 DL4, MXR Dynacomp, Voodoo labs sparkle drive, Big Muff, Boss Tuner and MXR eq, and various guitar cables and power cords.

Another pedal case containing the following - Lie 6 DL4, little big muff, Boss Tuner, Rat pedal, MXR eq, DC brick, Wireless guitar system, and various guitar cables and power cords.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of any of these items please contact us!
