New music coming soon!  The Zillas holed up in a wall called Goldilocks recording studio over the weekend!  With our good pal Andrew Schmidt as recording engineer we popped out a new live cd.  I hope you all enjoy, we are on a deadline for next weekend so we should have it for our next bait and tackle show!

Peace peeps

Our Hogzilla Lost my Mind EPs have finally arrived after long waiting!   Our first EP/project and we are all very proud!   Just want to say thanks to everyone that helped out in the recording, mixing, and inspiration for the EP!  It features Joe Humel on drums and percussion, Mimi Lavalley on vocals, Jacob Tilove on mandolin and vocals, Roger Grossman on upright bass, Alan S. Hewitt on piano, and Hilary Hawke on banjo, vocals.  We will have it available this Friday and Saturday at our shows, and also on cdbaby soon!  Family:  Be ready to receive this as default present for any missed birthday or holiday!

Hello hello! We are almost done with our first EP.. Just mastered by the wonderful and talented Richard Morris (M Shanghai Stringband) from Sterling Sound. We're psyched. But the question I am thinking is, should we include band photos on the layout of the cd case, or should we just pop it out with only our delightful headless pig/bear logo. I'm open to suggestions, I really don't know. Sometimes I just feel like being lazy...ahhh happy sunday!

So, we just got done recording 5 tunes at the Buddy project in Astoria and we should have them ready to go at the next show!  Here's my plan, everytime I open a fortune cookie I think to myself, this is it. Whatever this fortune cookie says, this is how my music career is gonna go. Or , I throw a peanut in the air, and if I catch it in my mouth we're gonna be successful. Or, if I can make it across the street before the light changes we're gonna do really well! Seriously, this is all I got.  Just lost my wallet again.  Hope that is not a sign.

Chin up!

So I have this co-worker (Marc the Wiccan), who is probably one of the most amazing people I've ever met-with or without the Wiccan.  He was telling me all about how this year to come he has his goals all laid out.  He already knows what he would like to accomplish for the coming year.  I generally am more spontaneous than that, but it really got me thinking.  First, I would like to hear what other peopl e are doing as well, so feel free to post on this.  But, as my best friend Karen put it in 4th grade she would be happy to dye her hair, buy a ford, and get a cat.  I agree.  For Hogzilla, I would really love for us to record a good full length album this year.  That would be cool.  If I can do that, maybe I'll get an apartment then, dye my hair,  and buy a ford.

I just want to say what a pleasure it is to have these crazy people playing my music.  Suzanne Bontempo for being such an inspiring mad scientist during our Hogzilla muscial rampage, and for letting us spread out all over her house!  Joe the clamshell Humel for working his ass off, Meemster for being the good ole foundation, Schatzy (yes this is my real hair) Schatz for coming out and waiting for us to get our shit together! Claudia Mogel for the good fudge cake and letting us hang in your air conditioning! I really love you guys. You sound great always.  Alright, I'm all sapped out. Don't hold it against me..
