Yepp fellow comrades of the rock and the roll, Ranheim made it again and will released the new album Norwegian Wood in the end of August this year in Scandinavia.
The album, recorded by biiliard and poker playing punkrocker Steve Albini was recorded at his Electrical Audio in Chicago and feature all brand new material recorded in the best possible manner. Working with Steve and the people at Electrical was a joy which we also think reflects in the recordings.
Some release concerts will be held in the country of Norway, look for details later at this page/space or whatever.

On one of the very last days of June 2008 Ranheim will release a 3 track 7"EP with songs that won't appear on the forthcoming album.
Because they are not good enough you may ask. But we won't answer. Nevertheless, the EP will include the tracks 'Hardcore', 'I Don't Like My Name' and 'Dirty Dancing'. All from the recording sessions with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago.
An amazing releaseparty for the EP will be held at Oslo's Spasibar on June the 28th. You should be there too, cos we will.
Oh.. almost forgot. The EP is entitled 'I Don't Like The Smiths'. Both sad and miserable people should enjoy it.

All members of Ranheim will record a new LP (or is it CD these days?) with Steve Albini at his studio Electrical Audio in Chicago in April. So far it’s 15 new songs, but we don’t believe the world is ready for this yet so we’ll probably cut down to 10 or 12, if we can figure the maths involved. There will also be a possibility to see Ranheim live in both Chicago and New York. America is finally getting some uplifting news.

Ranheim has been rehearsing incredibly ALOT (twice a month) in the last few months. And rehearsing leads to new songs, and new songs eventually lead us to the studio. That will happen sometime in the next 5 months. Expect an album before you can say "nice" in 22 different languages. We need to try out the new songs on a neutral audience, so we have to decided to do a short tour in Switzerland in January 2008. You can experience us at the Rote Fabrik the 24th of January. More dates to be added soon.
