So this is a pretty late development.

I have some work in a Group Show called "sketchDETAIL" at the Ryan Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center on 10th Ave between 45th and 46th streets in Manhattan.

The opening reception is tonight from 6:00-8:00
(i should be there after 7:00)

The show runs through November 19th.

so i started another blog.

I already have a sketch blog, which has been neglected for a while.

This one is more of a money-making scheme. There's been a slew of successful "Painting-a-Day" blogs out there and i'm throwing my hat in to the ring. The premise is that these artists force themselves to get up every morning and do a painting, rain or shine, in sickness and in health, etc...
I'm taking the same concept and marrying it with a surefire money-making subject, the Nude. Over the last two years moderating the Figure Drawing sessions at the Society of Illustrators i've made countless paintings and drawings. Every week i do between 5-10 watercolors. And even though not all are successes, a good amount are worth saving and sharing with other art lovers.
So i started a new blog called "Nude of the Day" .
It's still in its infancy and there are a few things yet to work out before i start promoting it, but i figured i'll throw this up on MySpace for those that read these things i write to have an early peek.

I've known about this for a little while because i'm with the "in" crowd, but since the list was posted online a few days ago it is now 100% official.
After 5 years of trying I made it into Spectrum: the Annual of Fantasy Art.
I don't know what got in yet. I submitted 4 pieces.
I can't wait til it goes to my head :P

So for those who are not in the know, I was supposed to have a Solo Show at the Ironworks Gallery in early December. Unfortunatly it was canceled about a few weeks before in November (just as I aproved the invitation to go to print)

It's a long and convoluded story about the cancelation and i would like to put it behind me in this brand new year.

So I'm happy to anounce that a good chunk of the Solo show (if not all of it) will be up as part of a Sketch Session Group Show at Haven Arts in the Bronx. I don't know all the details yet (like the actual title of the show) but i do know that the opening reception is on Friday January 19th 2007 at 6:00 PM


EDIT: the show is canceled because (drumroll please) Haven Arts is closing down. Yep - this year is already a downer
