We'll be headlining the weekly 'Best of the Bay' Independent Artist Showcase in Oakland tomorrow night.  It's at Karribbean City and the dj starts spinning at 9pm.

For those who haven't been to karibbean city before it's a very cool venue in downtown oakland with a Jamaican restaurant in the back, a full bar, and one of the best stages in the whole Bay Area.  It's a cool place to come out and dance, get some great food, and listen to the best independent hip hop in the Bay Area.  The event goes every thursday night and this week the lineup is going to be:

Our show at The Clubhouse last night was very cool, the room was full and we met a lot of cool new people and afterwards we had a great jam session at the hotel. so we're all kind of tired but feeling great. we just left the Young Dubliners showcase at Boo Records here in SLO (check out their new album if you haven't already) and are hanging out and eating at Linnea's where we're playing tonight. the address here is 1110 Garden St @ Marsh and we go on at 8:00pm.

Funny story, as it turns out we are literally across the street from the Lyrics Born show, i hadn't realized he was even in town tonight. It could turn out to be a good thing, our show is free and it starts before his so there's a good chance people will hear us from the street and come in while they wait for it to start. at least that's what I'm hoping, heh.

next up on our show list after tonight is an appearance on Pirate Cat Radio in San Francisco on Friday and then a show at South First Billiards on St Patricks day, all the info for those shows is on our page.

Tuesday March 10th: We'll be featured at  the singer/songwriters night at The Clubhouse, 740 W. Foothill Blvd San Luis Obispo, CA. The event is from 6:30 to 9:30 and we'll be playing 7:45. There will be 8 other musicians playing short sets throughout the night  too, so come out and enjoy it all!

Wednesday, March 11th we''l be playing an acoustic set at Linnaea's,  1110 GARDEN ST • SAN LUIS OBISPO CA Starting at 8pm. Come catch us in an intimate setting, and enjoy some coffee.

Check.it out - this is the live webcast from our interview on Erika Blue's radio show. Check.. her out on Ozcat.Radio.com and send them some good vibes, they're fighting hard to get a license for a fully powered independent radio.. station, and if there's one thing that would help out musicians all over the bay area it's having a station like theirs that really supports independent musicians getting heard all over the state.

We're looking for a Fiddler, Accordionist, Piper (Highland pipes or Uilian pipes), or Whistler (tin whistle and/or low whistle)  to jam with us and add some new sounds to our upcoming third album.  Other instruments might be cool too, who knows?  We're also looking for Dancers, VJ's, and others to collaborate with for live shows.

Just wanted to give ya'll the heads up that we're officially booking for 2009.

We've decided as a band to focus on doing fewer higher quality events instead of doing pub shows 3 times a month like we were doing for a while.  That means festivals, rallies, community events, and things like that get top priority from now on.  We played a lot of that type of events this year and hope to be able to come back to most of them and add a bunch of new ones, but our schedule is going to fill up fast.  So if you know a great event you'd like to see us perform at let us know and we'll hit 'em up!

whattup folks!

we've just uploaded a bunch of brand new videos from our morning set on saturday @ the KVMR Celtic Festival.  The festival was awesome, we played four times, twice on the main stage, and introduced celtic hip hop to our biggest audience ever.  How big? no one knows for sure, but KVMR averages 7,000-10,000 people a year and they're saying this year was a record breaker.

Not everyone was feeling it, of course, but i had several dozen people come up to me personally over the course of the festival to say how much they love our sound, so that was very gratifying and made me feel really good.  We made enough of a buzz that the radio dj on sunday morning was even interviewing people on what they thought of us!  I was at the festival itself so I didn't hear the feedback, but rumor has it it was mostly positive.  Dunno, If I can track down a recording of the segment I'll post it for ya'll.
