Härmed så vill vi meddela att The
Manikins lägger ner som band. Vi har spelat ihop sedan 1999 och har
under dessa 10 år spelat in och släppt inte mindre än 4 album och
12 singlar.
Dessa 10 år har varit otroligt roliga
och vi kan inte tänka oss ett bättre sätt att växa upp än att
åka runt i en minibuss och dricka öl samtidigt som man försöker
få allt att gå ihop genom dåliga jobb och tafatta studier. En gång
för alla vill vi tacka alla som har hjälpt oss genom åren. Har du
bokat oss, spelat in oss, kört oss, matat oss eller gett oss tak
över våra huvuden så har ni för alltid en plats i våra hjärtan
. . .
Anledningen till att vi bryter upp är
just känslan av att vi har uppnått vad alltid har velat och vill
inte upprepa oss vare sig i en studio eller på en scen. Alla vi i
bandet kommer fortsätta göra musik fast i nya former och i nya
konstellationer. Hoppas ni har haft det hälften så kul som vi och
tack igen!

Hereby we want to announce that The Manikins are no longer a band. We have played together since 1999 and during these 10 years we have recorded and released no less than 4 albums and 12 singles.
These 10 years have been incredible fun for all of us and we can't think of a better way to grow up than driving around in a bus, drinking beer while trying to make both ends meet with shitty jobs and half ass studies. Once and for all we want to thank everyone who has ever helped us out through the years and all of you who came to our shows. Have you ever booked us, recorded us, driven us,
fed us or given us a roof over our heads you will always have a place in our hearts . . .
The reason why we break up is that we feel we have achieved what we always have hoped to achieve and we don..t want to repeat ourselves in the studio or on stage. Everyone in the band will continue making music in one way or another, but in different forms and constellations. We hope you've had half the fun we've had and once again, thanks!
