We thought that since Shawn joined us to play drums we should make a new demo to represent more of our current sound. We just finished that demo, and now we have the songs up on our myspace profile. Please check them out and let us know what you think.

Yeah you know what I'm talking about. That smelly stuff that starts with SH- and rhymes with IT. So maybe you noticed that the website isn't working at the moment. It looks like it will take a month before it's up and running again. Until then we'll be making our little home on the online prairie at http://www.freewebs.com/rockfather Other than that things are going pretty good for Rockfather. We're extremely busy. Check out our schedule either here on myspace or at our temporary website, and pick a date when you can come check us out.

Current mood:  pleased
So we've had a week to reflect on the show at Caddies.  We worked really hard the weeks leading up to the show.  It was a lot of practice to come out with a 50% new set, but we had a blast.  The show was a lot of fun.  We were glad to see all of our friends who were able to show up.  The band got together and watched the video, and we were pleased to see that the sound out front was even better than on the stage.  Well it's back to work for us we still have the other half of our set to change before the next time we play out.  OK so maybe that was little bit of an exaggeration, but you can expect to hear new stuff the next time you see us.

Current mood:  disappointed
I'm sorry to tell everone that our shows coming up this weekend at the corner cafe have been cancelled.  We're feeling a little disappointed about the situation, and we hope no one makes a special trip there expecting to see us when we won't be there.

We wanted to make sure to draw everyones attention to the fact that we will be doing a show in September for Drummin' 4 Diabetes.  It will be at the Commons Mall.  We hope to see you there.  It's a good cause and should be a lot of fun.  You can check out the website at drummin4diabetes.com  By the way the show has been moved up a couple of weeks.  It will now be September 16th.

Current mood:  thankful
With the shows last weekend, everyone was working really hard all week. We had someone new coming to fill in this week. Donnie graciously agreed to help us out and fill in this weekend. Everyone had a good time. Donnie, Duke, and Steve all played together before as Brother Blade and the Cutters. It was fun to watch as they reminisced and played many songs that aren't on our usual set list. They played Santana, some Black Sabbath, and several others, We'll posting pics, mp3s, and maybe even a video from the shows soon, and thanks go to Donnie for helping us out.
