I Am Blessed singjay Mr. Vegas is counting his blessings today after he narrowly missed getting the last available seat on the ill-fated American Airlines flight 331 that skidded across a Kingston runway in inclement weather last night, before crashing on rocks close to the Caribbean Sea.

"I was returning from my tour of Europe. I was on an American Airlines flight that had to turn back to England after the pilot said the defrosting valve had stopped working, so we had to turn back. So by the time I got back to England for them to fix the plane to head to Miami to reach home, I was trying to catch Flight 331," he told one876.

The American Airlines flight 331 which he missed skidded across the Norman Manley International airport runway in heavy rain, bouncing across the tarmac and injuring more than 40 people before it stopped just short of the Caribbean Sea.

The impact cracked the fuselage, crushed the left landing gear and separated both engines from the Boeing 737-800. The crash injured at least 90 persons, 13 of whom were admitted to hospital.

"By the time I got there, they were booking others on so I never made it on. The girl at the counter told me that the last seat, which was an economy, was gone. Mi almost war wid the people, mi tell them mi have to get to Jamaica, I have shows but mi miss it."

He said that instead, he jumped on the next available Virgin Atlantic flight that was headed to Montego Bay, St. James, and drove to Kingston.

"Bwoy, my heart goes out to the passengers and their families who were on that flight, but mi glad say mi missed that flight 'cause mi woulda be inna first class and thats where the fuselage bruk, mi just counting mi blessings right now, mi feel good to be home with my family for Christmas," he said.

Mr. Vegas said that the tour of Europe was "very successful" but that he had been anxious to get home because "the weather in England was below zero". So when next he sings his smash hit, I Am Blessed, each syllable and chord articulated will be truly heartfelt.

"Mi just glad say is a Virgin flight mi tek, star, and look how mi almost argue wid the people dem fi get pon the flight? God is good, mi just glad that there were no fatalities," he said.

Singjay Mr. Vegas is having perhaps his most successful European tour ever as his highly anticipated pre-album tour is drawing big crowds.
"Yo the thing mad I had to meet with the Mayor of Berlin and sign a paper not to discriminate, or perform any songs advocating hatred towards any group or religion, failure to do so would have led to the cancelation of the shows and my possible barring from the European Union," Mr. vegas explained to one876.
"The show went on and turned out to be the best club show I have ever done in Europe. I sang 'Redemption Song', 'One Love', 'Buffalo Soldier', 'Don't Worry' from Bob Marley's catalogue, to which the crowd went into a frenzy.
Vegas then paused to tell the large crowd that "no one piece of paper can stop me from performing and spreading the true music from Jamaica".
"We are all about peace, love and Godliness," he said, then segued into his own hits such as I Am Blessed, and then climaxed with Man a Gallis.
The tour continued to Denmark the night after and Vegas continue his pre-album tour through France, Finland, England, Spain and other European territories.

Now we see why abused women hide what the fu.k they go through.
Imagine people calling Rihanna a bitch and saying she hit Risk Brown first.

A lot of us do some abusive shit to a woman at some point in our life, but is it fucking right? We are cowards, and full of shit.

Men out there who think it’s so ok that they would say “he should be beatin her”, are just pussies who are so afraid of a real nigga fight.

Some of YOU women that think, “oh Risk Brown got hit first so she is a bitch”, remember karma, I know it.

Those who think Rihanna is so fake, how easy do we forget, what about the scars and battered face we saw a few months ago?

This shit pissed me off so much!  Not just that he hit her, but the public perception of this young woman, I am not perfect but I woke up.

The worst think is to see people trying to justify this shit, “oh she gave him herpes”, “oh she hit him first”. Are you serious!

It’s like the other day, I was on a site with Mrs. Obama and one comment was "Michelle is so ugly but I would love her to suck ma dick"

Now if I had the power of the CIA, I would find that MF and lock him the fu*k up for life. Just like what they would do if someone threatened the President.

Now this is not about what Risk Brown did. I am not perfect, but it’s sad to see what these stupid people think of someone that was abused.

I don't care if she gave him herpes, HIV or whatever. Do what I do. If I’m gonna start a serious no condom relationship. I go straight to the Doc.

So who is trying to use that shit about she gave him something, that is so damn lame and I not buying that.

caribbean dominance in athletics
I have been watching  the world championship from home switching  from station
to station and have noticed the coverage of the world championship has been very poor on the american stations now I was wondering the reason for this and I came up with one conclusion.
Whenever the U.S is not the best in any form of sports it has little or no interest  in it, look at football [soccer] one of the biggest sport in the world it has not even generate a tiny bit of interest in the U.S even after David Becham signed up to play for a U.S team.  I can assure you that if they do not drug up some Marion Jones and  Justin Gatlins to beat Bolt and the female athletes from Jamaica there will soon be no coverages on major network in the U.S  of track and field.

I just did a tour in europe that  I booked all by myself
just to see what booking a tour is all about
I teamed up with Claudio an agent and  Carla who is  an Italian residing  in jamaica.
We agreed to do a  three weeks  tour covering all the major territories in europe which
is kind off what we I did  last year only this time I was handling the business,
which turned out to be a good decision  .In all the years of touring with different
managers this is the most I have ever earned on a tour three times  the amount I earned
even on tours that did  I more shows, I know all about the  expenses that a tour accumulate, the Bus, the flights, hotels  ect. but on this tour we took more flights had a bus for a few days had good hotels  so I did not lower the standard  to earn more .
I am not trying to tell any other artist to do the same but I can only share my experiences
because it is so sad at times when you see or know of an artist who should be well set and he has nothing to show from the successful career he had or still has, because some of these managers are only opportunist they sit by the phone and wait on calls from agents to get the artist work so sometimes your money has to go through three or four different people before it gets to you, just the same with publishing you do a publishing deal with someone in jamaica and it runs through two or three administrator before you see a dime.
Now back to opportunist managers the ones that can only get you work when you are hot the ones that do nothing to earn their 20% and the unfair ones that takes 20% off the top which I had fall outs with managers like that before, because I will not let you take 20% off the top like what international artist managers does ,lets say lil wayne manager takes 20 percent off the top it doesn't hurt lil wayne because those artist has record labels that take care of the expenses to promote the artist then  recoup all expenses before  the artist gets his royalties  and thats when the manager gets 20% now look at a jamaican artist without a label he gets 10k and  the agent who books the show get 10% so 9k is left the manager takes 20% off the top which is 1,800$ so a little over 7k is left the artist pays his band 2k, 5k is left his back up singer if any 1k,so 4 is left engineer 500$ so a little over 3 k is left then the artist has to do promotions videos, payola, ect what is left for him to save a little over nothing .So if artistes do not take their financing seriously and leave it up to these people then they are gonna have nothing to show at the end of the day, let the  managers gives account of every dollar that is spent and do not  let them tell you that you have to go shopping in limousine and you have to wear a gucci suit on every show because image is everything  thirst is nothing I know of artistes who spend more to look good on a shows than what they are  getting for the shows .  I pay  managers 20% off what I get and if I am the one doing all the work and you just booking its 15 or 10% and if can't  have have a say on  how  my money is being spent you out .Leave a comment .mr vegas

After much thought throughout the day I have decided to blog about
the face of dancehall music in today's blog
I am looking at some of dancehall  artistes that has international recognition
and which one of us will be taking the music to where I thought it was going a few
years ago .
I will start with beenie man the most talented entertainer in the business but I am not sure if he can do it all over again.
With songs like Who Am I ,Slam,Romie,Dude songs that has cross over formula, the beat, the hook, the whole production was great so with dave kelly and the team beenie had at that point I really don't know but I will leave it there
The next person on my list would be Myself Mr Vegas
After 12 years of trying to reach to the next  level I have accept my role and is now
comfortable with touring, recording and if it happens it happens I just try to put out some good songs because at my age I sometimes  feel like Heineken startime will soon come calling and the fact that so many albums that went out into the market place by bad labels and no promotion there is nothing that will let a label take a look at me after they look at the poor sound scan and I know this because whenever there is a song like Hot wuk ,Tek weh yuhself Muss come a road  and now I am blessed its so easy to get them at the table but as soon as that  part of the conversation comes in I know its a rap they never call back even if my rep points out heads high album did great numbers on a independent label .So I taken myself out
Now the next person on my list is Sean paul
I respect what Sean Paul for what he has done for the music in terms of spreading the name but I think he could have done what Akon did he could have been  the one to walk other artist into majors and say he or she is the next thing and as long as he put his SP seal on that artist its a rap, but that never happened and as for  now I might be wrong but I think he has lost some of the power he once had and the formula he used a few years ago even with his last album he has ditched it for whatever reason but I think the winning formula was when he would record on the hot dancehall tracks even if it was already out because he has the name that cross over radio knows so with he is  on  the hottest beat they would play his cut and thats what i think was working .For example Dwalli Riddim he was the last one to record and that song was the  first billboard number 1, now good life is the hottest riddim and  no sean paul on it ,ok one more look at temperature he was the last one to record on the  applause beat and it  was another number 1 , now show off riddim with No games ,so special crossing over I can only guess what sean style would have done to that beat so with the beat he is using now  I am not sure if he still has the chance to save the music now that stations like power 96 in miami is  the last to pick up his So fine single and that is the station that was always on board first when it comes to him .  I have stated  before I might be wrong but I don't think the formula Sean is using now is  gonna save dancehall
Now my next choice is Serani and I can't say much about this subject but one thing I will say the opportunity is hard to come by so when you get it you got to pull up your socks and lace your shoes up don't be a bust number 1 draft pic
leave a comment at the end of my blog .bless

Today I read an article about Vybes Kartel answers to  Queen Ifrica
now I am a Vybes Kartel fan but have to side with Ifrica on this topic.
Dancehall music has always been hardcore ,sexual and gangster
but I am trying to find out  if there was any point in the dancehall music industry  that an artist puts his lyrics so straight forward.
I was watching a video with Vybes and a female artist dressed up in school  uniform acting out being pregnant
and I said to myself this is something that little girls will grab on to
this is like kisko at the school gate and young boys gonna now try and breed
off their little girlfriend and if she gets pregnant and her mother and father gets mad they are gonna use lines like this  'tell yuh madda seh mi love you'
now is that what we are teaching the youths
I am not saying this is not art but its art gone bad .

I am following the Micheal Vick situation daily and it is so disturbing and sad to
to see how this man is been treated
I am not condoning what he did but come on ,after two years in prison I would think that
people would at least allow Vick to go back to work
look at how many other athletes have been caught cheating with steroids and all they get is a few weeks ban some none at all, so tell me if its to protect the image of your teams
why are they being able to play  and Micheal  Vick after paying for his crime  most owners are passing on him .It is wrong for fighting dogs but is it right for a careless owners who lets a dog out to bite someone and  the authorities that  put the dog down not to get their brian scan ,is it right  to pay human beings to  lock themselves  in a cage and  beat the hell out of each other , is it right to race a horse to his death where are the activist on these issues oh I get it they are all following around the teams to see who is willing to sign Vick .
Now What about the makers of tobacco and alcohol how many people are being killed daily from these products who goes to jail or is it a case of you don't have to use  it ,ok i will listen to that but only if the same thing applies when you talk about Micheal Vick as  a bad influence I could argue that kids can make the choice of not doing what he did.
When hard criminal gets out of jail I don't see no one saying do not give him a job
so why should Micheal Vick not get a job.  written by Mr Vegas
