If you're a hopeless romantic you must see Bright Star. Maybe you'll be as inspired by Fanny Brawne's fashion sense as much as I am. And on a side note, you'll totally wish John Keats could be your Homecoming date. What a hottie!
This is a shot of Fanny Brawne (played by Abbie Cornish) in her gorgeous pleated collar. You'll love the scene where she hand-stitched it in preparation for the big dance.

We channeled Ms. Brawne's creative style and put together a Homecoming look you can wear!
Windsor
Notice the ruched bodice and peek-a-boo tulle hemline on this ivory Homecoming dress. So cute! Available at Windsor for $79.90.

Pleated gloves
Make your look all your own with a unique accessory, like these pleated gloves. Available on greatglovesonline.com for $7.99.

Nothing says Homecoming like rhinestones. This necklace is made using a vintage button. I believe Fanny Brawne would have approved. It's by Beth Lauren, so you know it's good. Find it here for $205.

Who doesn't love Carrie's wardrobe from the Sex and the City movie?  Well, if you were particularly fond of the white and gold, one-shoulder cocktail dress she rocked at the beginning of the film you're in luck!  We found a similar frock online and it's absolutely perfect for Homecoming.  From the ruching on the bodice to the oversized flower accent at the shoulder, the Celebrity-Inspired Dress from Faviana ($258) will have you looking like a movie star!  --Angel

Want silky, straight strands for Homecoming?  With the help of a straightening iron, a few products, and these simple steps you can get shiny, smooth hair without the expensive trip to the salon.  Here's how:
1. Apply a leave-in conditioner to damp hair and blow dry. Try Ojon Restorative Leave-in Treatment ($29) to protect hair.
2. Spritz 1-inch sections of hair with a working spray, such as Alterna Caviar Working Hair Spray ($26), then use a flat iron to straighten.
3. Finish with a dime-size amount of shine serum.  We love Carol's Daughter Hair Balm ($12) -- it leaves hair impossibly shiny and infused with a deeply intoxicating aroma of gardenia, vanilla, and honey!
