I just uploaded yet another song from my forthcoming tape release, "I lost my heart in Amsterdam".
It's been a year since EF played in Amsterdam and I met Laura on the boat, MS Stubnitz. I was drunk and made a fool of myself, screamed about potatoes, played with her hair and also told her that I loved her.
Next week it's exactly one year ago I toured with Halo of Pendor. We were gonna come and play in Maastricht/Netherlands. Since Laura and I had spend the last month talking every night over the computers we decided that we wanted to see each other again. I know that she thought I was an idiot the first time I met her but inside of my drunken shell she had found a kind and caring guy, me!
My friends and I drove to Venlo to pick up Laura by her parents house. She looked amazing! We sat next to each other in the van on our way to Maastricht charing a bottle of cheap wine while singing a long to the Michael Jackson mix tape Laura brought for me. I have a vague memory of me kissing Laura on the cheek during this ride.
We had a nice time at Lisanne's before we went to Take 5 which was the venue for this night. After the show my brother and I danced like crazy to James Brown. (I am an excellent soul dancer) I remembered me dancing with Laura. We were smiling and laughing all the time - it was so exciting and also the bloody Mary's had gotten to my head. We had been flirting for fun. I knew that I liked her but I wasn't sure about her feelings, If she still was "acting". Suddenly it happened. We kissed on the middle of the dance floor. It felt so exciting. And from there we are here today, hundreds of trips back and forth Gothenburg and Amsterdam. It is all worth it!
I lost my heart in Amsterdam.

Today I signed the contract for my new apartment which is located in the city center of Gothenburg. I have wanted to live in that area for such a long time and now I am moving there in just a couple of weeks.
I'm looking forward eating breakfast with Laura cold winter weekday mornings by a nice kitchen table in my cute new kitchen. Can't believe that I haven't had a real kitchen in such a long time. I used to enjoy cooking but the past year I have been eating crisps, ordering pizza or just been drinking beer for dinner. Its time for a change.

Yet another song from my forthcoming tape cassette release is up on my page.
I wrote "Paper cuts" for about 1,5 year ago when I was unhappy with some essentials in my life such as work and my ex-girlfriend. I am miles and miles from there today. Life is smiling to me at this moment in time though the nordic winter is yet to come.
Much love
Daniel

Picture is taken by Laura Gommans just an ordinary November day.
I´m with my girl in Amsterdam at this very moment in time. We spent the weekend in Brussels together with Laura's family. Yesterday we saw Grizzly Bear and St Vincent perform at Melkweg, which was great! Tonight we will go to see "This is is" with Michael Jackson.
Things are starting to calm down. Magnus is working mixing the EF album and each day the boys of EF gets to hear a new mix. Its really exciting and its like a great reward for all the work we put into it. Now I just have to record the cello tracks for the last song when I come back to Gothenburg and then I can relax.. relax for real.

It's so nice that I have this weekend off from work, so now I just have to concentrate on my other full time job; the EF recording. Slowly its getting finished... with tiny baby steps. Need more time... and more important - I need my band mates not to be out of the country.
Nej, today its not a good day. I'm out of spirit fuel and I wish I just could have said no.... But here I am, just about to leave the warm apartment and head for yet another day in the rehearsal room.
I will end this emo blog with a stream of light. Yesterday I was looking at the apartment that I hope getting. Its bigger than the box I'm living in at this moment in time, it's cute and it's well located in a great area. Every thing's in the nearby.. the rehearsal room is just about 300 meters from the door. On tuesday I will know if I will be the new owner of the apartment.
