You might have heard that a while back we finished a recording some songs.  Well, now they are available on a certain mega on-line store whose company name I will refrain from saying again.  Anyhow, it's here:

These songs were recorded by Jeff McMurrich between the spring of 2007 and January 2008.  There are fast songs and slow songs and i-between songs.

Until the actual CD is made, you can buy the whole EP for $3.99.  When it's released in September on White While records, it will be its normal price.

Dear Friends, our debut EP will be coming out on Vancouver's White Whale records, home of Culture Reject, the Mohawk Lodge, Octoberman, Poorfolk, and some others... We should have a release date ready for you sometime in the fall...

In the meantime, we will be doing swings in this part of the country throughout the summer...

In the meantime, the band is torn about Barack Obama. Half of us think he's a phony, 1/4 of us thinks he's "pretty OK", and one of us is completely indifferent.

Our long-awaited EP has been finally completed.  We've posted two songs from it, thus like.  Be nice.

Toronto quartet Tusks emerge from ashes of Ontario indie icons

As you probably have yet to hear, Tusks took a different shape recently, resulitng in the amicable departure of Kristian Galberg, Allison Outhit and Dan Goldman. Dr. Julien Beillard is now on board and played a few shows recently. Word is that he has passed his exams and is truly ready to be part of the school.

We have begun recording an EP with engineer/ gadabout Jeff McMurrich at the venerable Halla Music here in Toronto. If all goes well, we should have this done within sometime between now and the next time we decide to write something.

The track you are possibly listening to is now avaialble for purchase on the wonderful "Friends in Bellwoods" compilation put together by the ethical fashionplates in Ohbijou.  All profits go to supporting the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto, a sadly vital institution here in Toronto.  It's a great compilation and a worthy cause and we're greatful to the Ohbijou people for putting it together and inviting us to be a part of it.

We're not sure if they are making fun of us or madly jealous of our status.  But as they say in the "business"  some press is better than no press.

Children: Said song has been kicking around for some time in various formats.... This latest one comes courtesy of the recording talents of James Bunton of Ohbijou.  Even though James is a prick AND a dink, he is handsome, and we begrudgingly thank him for devoting his time to making this song.  It will appear on a compilation of fine songs put out by the Bellwoods Consortium.  Other contributors include: Bry Webb (Constantines), Jeremy Gara (Arcade Fire), Snailhouse, Ohbijou, The Acorn, and the other guy in Death From Above 1979.
