Yes i'm sharing work in progress.
Succubus was written by Anette Peacock, an experiemental artist from the 70's.
You can hear it on my page.

Enjoy.

To be honest, I never thought I'd do this...
But I found that different elements and experiences that I come across in everyday life affects me in my songwriting which is in essence a form of communication via a sonic medium.
So why not share a glimpse of the process with you as well?

In our world today almost everything you lay your eyes on is a sales pitch. You can't walk in the streets or enter a cab, a bus, a subway without being bombarded by advertising. It's on tv, on line, on clothes, bags and hats. Everyone is selling and the people doing well at the selling ultimately decide what is sold. And I've found this has degraded the quality and availability of authentic goods, music being one of them. It's almost impossible to find anything in its original form.
So call this blogging for the sake of authenticity.

Leo Tolstoy considered one of his last works, "A Calender of Wisdom" to be his greatest contribution to humanity. It was widely read in pre-revolutionary Russia and forgotten during the communist era and rediscovered. It consists of daily quotes from philosophers, sacred texts and Tolstoy himself. This year is my 2nd year reading it.

Here's 12/31

"Time is behind us, time is before us, but in the present there is no time". -Tolstoy
"Limitless time and space are divided into small, limited parts to be used by limited beings.
Divine spirit is eternal, it exists out of time". -Henri Amiel

you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
from the corner store

you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
you can buy a lie
from the girl next door

so why are you buying lies from a man with a gun
playing cowboys and indians with other men's sons

you can make believe the sun needs the earth to survive
you can make believe that Elvis is still alive

so why are you buying lies from a man with a gun
playing cowboys and indians with other men's sons

numbers
numbers
numbers
numbers
numbers
numbers
with cold feet with cold feet

march all over everyone
march all over everyone
march all over everyone
march all over everyone

while we
play dead hand in hand with the justice of our time
tears of a crocodile still tasting the victim
be one be mine but don't just be then die
