Here is a review of a gig we played in Queenstown on the "My imminent demise" tour.
Song by song - missing bits and pieces - this is what i have transcribed from about 19 small green pieces of paper . Delivered in an empty cigarette packet . I have attempted to represent these observations verbatim ! Enjoy !

Can i just say that i have been having the best time touring with Ned and Annabelle , and that the music is only as important as the company and the ideas !
And when i say that , factor in the fact that the music is fucken great !
It makes me so proud to once again be playing gigs with people who i am honoured and pleased to play with where ever we go .
And while i've got the polushing rag out , Andrew Bain gets a great big fist in the sky too !
We played Whammy - bit late for a thursday .. soory about that . But great fun . The other gigs at the Sand bar on Waiheke and L'Arte (pronounced Latte ) in taupo were less like gigs , and more like a musical holiday . Vocal p.a operated by us - in a corner of the cafe/bar  and an audience of lovely locals with no pretence and genuine appreciation . 'Starved' wasd a word that sprung up on both occasions .
Ned got attacked by gulls at the beach in Waiheke ,  a hundred and seventy dollar speeding fine  was skillfully rendered by our arch nemesis  ' Rudy' the traffic cop for travelling 50 in a 30 zone( he was charming to the last) and we were called a bunch of fucking faggots in Taupo by a teenage girl in a souped up sedan - moments after speculating on our chances of survival in such  a small town small town ( being a bunch of dandys )!
We have bonded over a dead , half rat called Chris Richardson .
The sun is shining mostly .
I swum in the sea .
hail hail !

Cassette will be realeasing an e.p in Sept or October featuring the fruits ( exotic of course!! ) of recent recording sessions in Welington and Melbourne! It will be titled the Cancer e.p. It will be awesome! I am exited! Are you? Perhaps it will turn the heads of a few folk. Perhaps not. I for one would love some more attention! If this does not occur never fear there will be an album out Aprilish. That will be album number 2! And for all of you who always wait so patiently and are thinking... sure thing guys, we waited a thousand years for the last one ( well that's 4 actually!! ) don't be so sarcastic... we are serious this time! Hope evryone out there on thier space is havin the time of thier lives... if not, change something... join the gym, stop smoking or I dont know.... get a cat maybe! Makin sweet love to you all on Cyber satin sheets, Cassette

OK so today it was about 40 odd degrees in Melbourne, deep into the next Cassette album which we are currently sweating over! Working on new tunes in the best thing bout makin music and let me tell you there are some bloody pearlers in there. Paul Trigg 32 this week, Craig Terris 31. As a band we are 97 years old which sounds fine but when you weigh in the fact that we are a three piece it is a very sobering thought, pass me that coopers red please mr Watson. Currently waiting on technology to speed up so we can really crack into one of Paul Triggs songs called Candle. Just found out that I am doing a gig with the clean next month in Luke Budas band.... very exited, compared to them I am a babe in the woods! Love that band alot.... oh and I love you too... Sooo ahhh just thought I would update our blog so if anyone is bored enough they can check and....hey presto, fresh bollocks from Craig on behalf of the other guys! Really really looking foward to the Melbourne shows and holing up at Toms home studio in Collingwood and getting stuck into the next record with him and Paul ( M.V.P ). The whole idea is that the next album comes out this year.. but we shall see, with two more singles to come out soon ( 'Not Home' in march being the first, both with videos and all the whistles and bells dinging along accordingly ) It could be a stretch but Lordy we're gonna try. Went to M Ward the other night in Wellington.... It was bloody great. Nice to see a Wellington crowd actually listen to someone for a change.
It is hard to write blogs when it all seems totally self absorbed. Next time I will try a different angle.... Over to you Mr Watson X craig

Went to the Northcote street festival yesterday - despite the early rain , and the fact that it was freezing cold , it was great fun . I had a Roo burger . The're just great big rabbits really .
Me and Alasdair made a Moran just before ! Ever heard of one of those ? You just get a length of carpet and bolt a block of wood on one end . Very handy . MORAN !

WOW! OK! This is my first blog on my space so check this shit owwwwwwwwwwt..........
Playing some shows in Auckland in the next couple of weeks, one with Voom, one with Augie March. It really is safe to say we are creaming our jocks! Tom and Craig are also doing a DJ set at the Black Luck club on the 7th. It's something that's been in the pipeline since we first started making music as a band and we have worked out a set that incorporates 4 turntables 4 microphones and 2 arseholes. Guest mc is P gina ( a.k.a Paul Trigg ). This guy's set to tear it up in his debut as the Hip Hop cultural ambassador of COOLINGATTA! This is all leading up to the release of the album....getting a little nervous.
I think it will burn slowly but brightly that's my prediction!
Love Craig on behalf of the mighty Cassette x
