Current mood: exhausted

Hej, do weihnachtets doch scho so rischtisch.

thanks for listening. maike

Current mood: bored
äh, hust. this is my first blog. i am writing it in english, cause i am a genuine glamorous cosmopolitan and also then you all can make fun of my funny mistakes. and although i am writing my ass off when it comes to lyrics for my songs (try to make a 3:30 version of any of them - not possible. you would have to sing faster than the gilmore girls talk), i never got the concept of artists blogs on myspace. who reads them? what else do you have to say that you can't say on that big opening page? but because i am planning on ruling the world one day, i thought i could already practice how it feels to talk to people who have better things to do than listening to my speeches (of course by then i'll force them to).
so in this hour of boredom i'd like to establish some important maike rosa vogel statements about the world as it is.
1. i am all for minimum wages. as an information for anybody who doesn't live in this country: we don't have that here. yes. right. you can pay employees 3 euro an hour and get away with it when you live in germany. great, isn't it? you are an employee? don't worry, if you don't earn enough to make a living, the government pays all your insurances and rent and stuff. you're just not allowed to leave the city or going on holidays without their permission and when you want to move in with people they might get forced to pay you maintenance. although every solid first world country economy has them, for some reason, the leaders of this country think, sky would fall down on their precious heads if they go for minimum wages. why? who knows.
2. although i am all for minimum wages and i think unions are the most underrated achievment of the last centuries and capitalism would just fall to pieces or choke by eating its greedy self without them, i am not really a friend of public holidays. easter. christmas. boring! the reason why i am writing a blog that noone will read: today is public holiday. what the fuck is that about? isn't easter sunday enough to look for eggs and go to church? i would be okay with one day off here and there but what is it with all these bundles? away with them! on this one i keep it with my capitalist friends and demand my daily dose of consum. i know, i can't afford to buy anything, but at least i wanna stick to my right to look at stuff in open windows. in a maike rosa vogel world, shops would never close on certain days.
3. what else can i tell the world? should i risk it and lose all my chainsmoking berlin-friends? i risk it. now that i'm getting warm with this. :-) what is it with berlin and the smoking ban? it's the same like with minimum wages, childcare, speed limits and fees for dogshit that somebody actually has to pay: every other country has it and people love it, but here they pretend, these changes are too serious to be made overnight and we really have to discuss it first for a long long time. what can be wrong with not damaging the health of barkeepers, waitresses, entertainers, kids and all the others who don't have a choice? by the way- who has a coice? what choice is it to either always stay at home or having to wash my clothes every day, needing a week longer to cure a cold, becoming really lonely when i am pregnant and waking up with that filthy taste in my mouth? don't tell me about sales collapse in gastronomy - i would be out every fucking night of the week if i didn't feel like shit every morning after. for all the people who never lived in smoke banned countries: try it. you'll see, it's not the beer that makes you hung over, it's the stupid smoke. i swear. it's a whole new experience.
4. dogshit. don't get me started on that. does anybody like it? enjoy smelling it? walking into it? if so, i'm happy to know and i'll place all the used diapers of my baby to come in front of your door to maximize your pleasure. that's the kind of person i am.
happy holidays from maike rosa vogel. world domination is just a few steps away.
