Hey guys, For all of you who have purchased or are considering
purchasing my music, I just wanted to let you know of something very
important. I had a non-exclusive distribution deal with Australian
label, Blue Pie up until recently. In the 3 years I "worked" with this
label (as in I did all the work and they sat back and collected), I was
never paid a dime in royalties. Despite the fact that we no longer have
a working relationship, they are still distributing my material without
my consent. So, if you are kind enough to purchase an mp3(s) or album
of mine, please do not purchase it from any media outlet such as
iTunes, Amazon, or eMusic that has any affiliation with Blue Pie (any
Phantom Records purchase is fine however). To ensure that you are not giving to a company that does not compensate its artists, you can purchase CDs and downloads from Alexxcalise.com (I personally oversee, autograph and ship all of my product), my Amazon store, and CD Baby.

Hey guys!
Great news! I just made it into the Slurpee.com Battle of the Bands out of thousands of bands from around the world!
Since I made it into Round 1, I also won a $500 7 Eleven gift card! Sweet--I needed to feed my already horrible 7-Eleven addiction, hehe :)
Here's the deal: If I make it into the top 4, I win $1,000 and a custom series Slurpee guitar, and if I win the Battle of the Bands overall, I get $10,000 cash (which I will of course be putting into my next album)!

August 14th at 8:30PM! This will be my 1st full band show in LA this

Also, some new album news...
I've finally just finished laying down tracks for one of my new songs,
"Break Me." I know all my fans are probably wondering why it's been
taking so long for album 2 to come out, and the reason is I'm writing,
recording, producing, and engineering it all by
myself (with some help from my partner in crime, Dennis Morehouse of
course), all while learning the audio engineering software, Logic. I
went into great detail
about it during my interview with UCW Radio last week, which you can
listen to here.
Finished
versions of my new songs will hopefully be available for you to listen
to/purchase in the upcoming months. I apologize for the delay; I know
you've been waiting patiently.
I've also been simultaneously recording another album with my other
band, Sound of Cancer. We're now on our fourth song, entitled, "The
Killing Kind." Be on the lookout for our EP, which will more than
likely be out this year!

Great news! Dennis and I have just returned from our San Jose, CA recording trip. Here's a quick play-by-play:
Day 1: Arrive in San Jose, CA at 9 PM, grab some munchies, play a last-minute show at the delightfully cheesy Britannia Arms in Cupertino, sleep (a little)
Day 2: Get up, head to the recording studio, Den tracks drums til late for my record and SOC's record, I develop horrendous, deathly cough/cold, pass out
Day 3: Get up, Den tracks drums til late, head over to yummy BBQ with buddies, pass out
Day 4: Get up, go to San Francisco just because, hang out, head back to San Jose, pass out
Day 5: Get up, go to recording studio again to record bass tracks for my record with bassist extraordinaire, Keith Brinkley, pack up, drive home, arrive in LA at 1 AM. Whew...
In other exciting news, I'm proud to announce that I am now a resident performer at the amazing Unurban Cafe in Santa Monica, CA which features many talented up and coming singer-songwriters! I will be playing every 4th Saturday of the month starting July 25th. Come out for some great music and great coffee! Rawk!
