2 years ago i went on tour in Europe with my friends Zack and Rich.
A year earlier Zack and i met a guy at a show in Colorado named Terrence.
He told us he would like to come and film it,basically make a documentary about us, so of course we said sure....come along, not thinking he would.....sure enough....he did.

We did a tour that started in March 07 and ended in May 07.
Terrence, stayed for at least 2 weeks of it, maybe longer, filming pretty much most of what we got up to.

The last words i said to Terrence (at the Budapest train station i think) was something like "see ya soon."

Sadly that was the last time i ever saw Terrence. He passed away February 08 at the age of 22.

His friend Aaron wrote to me on myspace recently telling me he has the footage Terrence shot and was going to edit it.
Today he sent me this, im not sure if its the finished version, or a quick rough draft, but id like to share it with everyone.

As i take slow sips of my chocolate flavoured complan (hot) i prepare myself to write this big ol shout out list i know is gonna take ages!

This is a list of people i have met in Europe who have either, promoted a show, let me crash in their house, picked me up/drove me around, had something positive to do involving my stay in your country.

I always mean to shout people out and just say thank you for showing me a good time and being a dope dude, sometimes i get too busy to personally thank you, i just want you to know that you have affected my life in a really great way so the least i can do is let you know i appreciate everything you have done for me!

First of all biggest shout out of all goes to Prozack Turner, without you i dont even know if i would be doing this shit and have the drive that i do to succeed or die trying (or at least laugh at myself trying)
Secondly, Marc Stretch for similar reasons as above, doing shows, my first ever vinyl was with you (stop fantasizin) thats huge for me, a dj..who loves music and vinyl, having my own vinyl release? You will always be apart of me for that! (And that also applies to who had anything to do with the record from features to releasing it)

Huge shout out to DJ Design too, Keith you made my 21st birthday/week perfect! Thank you, il never forget you for it. Word up to Cam and Brian and Dave Paul too.

They put us up in a DOPE hotel for like 3 days was it? Right in the city centre of Copenhagen (home of the worlds top 2 most finest girls)

Willie, Nicco and Master muafuckin L we had a ball,this is where i got stoned for the 1st time in 3 years! i literally had quit smoking and had my 1st blunt again with these motherfuckers in Copenhagen, and it was the result of me smoking again for a few months after (mostly only on tour)That shit was sooo much fun, we went into an ALL you can eat ribs joint, ATE all we could eat, then get a box to go...(full) and ran out that motherfucker without paying! AHAHAHAHA
Like 5 of us running for our dear lives after eating ALL WE COULD FUCKING EAT! idunno how someone didnt puke, best part was we were chatting up the waitresses and even gave them a flyer to the show the next day haha,
Another funny part was Richie and Zack had to leave early as they were broke and couldnt afford to eat there (shit was EXPENSIVE!!!!) i came into the hotel room, with a box FULL of ribs and chips, like here ya go guys, ha you wanna see their little faces light up...they didnt believe me we stole it until the other guys told them later on.
Also word up to me in Mcdonalds stoned with Rich, freaking out in the Q coz i couldnt remember if it was called a hot fudge sundae or a chocolate sundae hahah, great time!

How many rappers can really live up to the name "OneManArmy"? Hailing from Pontiac Michigan, OneBeLo has emerged as one of HipHop most respected emcee's, but skills is not the only thing that seperates him from the rest. Speaking in schools, sitting on panels, conducting workshops, lectures, and performing spoken word are just a few of his extra curricular activities.

OneBeLo's recording career started with the Michigan-based group "Binary Star". They would record and press on their own, an album titled "Water World", that would be remastered, renamed(Masters of the Universe), and re-released and in 2000, hands down one of the best releases that year.

2000 was the same year OneBeLo started his own label(Subterraneous Records), and production team(Trackezoids). He would hand-pick several Michigan-based artists for the roster, and create a buzz throughout the midwest.

An excellent performer, at any given moment you might find his calendar booked with shows all over the U.S. and even overseas. Accomplishments made without a manager or a booking agent, but through relentless networking and sacrifice, He's performed at major festivals, hosted mc battles, and shared the stage with many an artist(Rakim, KRS-One, Wu-Tang, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, MF Doom, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Dead Prez, Immortal Technique, Soul Position, and Vanilla Ice, just to name a few). For 3 years He's performed on the Vans Warped Tour, a mostly Rock tour, and he's performed throughout the B-Boy circuit.

Speaking of B-Boys, OneBeLo is currently the only MC member of the World Famous Massive Monkee's who won the B-Boy World Championships, hosted by London in 2004.

In 2005, Fatbeats Records release his official solo debut titled "S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.", which would take him out of the shadows of Binary Star, and go on to be on of the Top 5 releases that year.

After paying so many dues, years of networking, experiencing so much in his career and personal life, building a studio in his basement, OneBeLo had more than enough weapons to bring new substance not only to his rhymes but to his whole approach. A rebirth was beginning to take place.

After departing ways with FatBeats Records, his latest album "The R.E.B.I.R.T.H.", is not only the album title, but a statement. OneBeLo is Hungrier, and Better than he's ever been. Still the OneManArmy, just new and improved.

Well if im allowed to say so, i have had on non stop repeat the new beat Freeze and i have made for our album, its still not 100% finished, but damn i honestly think and feel we have made a classic! (Typing this even makes me want to play it right now!...so im going to

Have you noticed sometimes chocolate bars and ice creams change the wrapper sometimes? without telling us?
Newest case = Brunch ice cream, the wrapper is a more pinky colour!
I guess it works because i ate it! Tasted the same but hey the wrapper was different! (honourable mention to limited edition extra flavours)too)

As of recent i have been a busy beaver, im booking alot of tours in the next few months!
Im pretty excited about them, Im touring again with Prozack Turner,
we work so well together its kinda weird, i think we are the same person (ala fight club) except im more handsome and he has no foreskin.

Then in October i truck through Europe with other Foreign Legion member Marc Stretch on the "Black and White Pudding European Tour"
Then in November i do the damn thing with soso from Canada, with a potential Australia and Asia stops in between.......(also another tour im working on for January with someone but i wont mention who just yet),
so im happy with getting my grind on and providing for my family!

Iv ebeen offered a gig with my friends The Waxos crew in Austria on Christmas day!!!
ive never spent a christmas away from home or family i should say!
Its honestly my favourite tiem of the year and im trying desperately to grip on to any magic that is left before "they" kill it! (they are the people who have a santa's grotto open on November the 2nd)
People should not be allowed to sell anything christmas related until December 1st!
If i was president of the world or at least Justin Timberlake i would make that the first rule of the world!

Music updates,
i was in the studio with Buck 65 (aka Dicky Sweetmeat) a few weeks ago and we recorded a new Dirk Thornton song,
we also spoke about a full length Dirk lp (we also spoke about chocolate)
I like working with him because he can write a song before i finish a pointless story about a girl i saw that day.

We(Freeze and i) are making beats now for the album, im really excited about having a debut album, i want it to be perfect, like how every girl imagines her 1st time in the scratcher (hopefully it doesnt turn out like every girls 1st time though, done very quickly sounding awkward and uncomfortable after you listen to it)

So far i think we have 6 beats done for it that are keepers, possibly 7 or 8,
its soundsing very good with such a diverse taste,

The story thus far..............

Here is the tale of Dirk Thornton.

Dirk Thornton was conceived the second time Buck65 played in Dublin Ireland. Buck had originally made plans with Dj Flip to do a project or work together somehow somewhere down the road, but busy schedules on both behaves kept delaying the collaboration.

Finally the next time Buck had a show in Dublin they had organized to do as musicians so glamerously call it.... an "all nighter".

Recorded in Dublins finest studio (Virtu Studios) renowned for Dj Flip "all nighters" (sorry Slevin) Buck, Flip, Freeze and Dave Slevin (sound engineer) got to work on piecing the birth of Dirk Thornton, all while scoffing down a bag load of junk food from white chocolate and raspberry cookies to who knows what else FreezeMaster Slick bought! (Warning...never put Freeze on munchie duties!)

 

So as 5.30am comes along fastly but surely, Buck leaves and Flip and Slevin stay and "attempt" to mix.
