TRISTESS - Hög & Låg Blues LP (NV 018) OUT NOW!

(From Deranged homepage---> This is TRISTESS 3rd vinyl output and easily their best to date. Actually, I would go as far as saying this is likely one of the top 5 best European records of the last five years, it is just that good.  For those unfamiliar, TRISTESS features two members of THE REGULATIONS and E.T.A, and one member from THE VICIOUS and DS-13, and play straight forward punk rock heavily influenced by obscure late 70’s Swedish punk rock like THE INCEST BROTHERS, GLO, and KRIMINELLA GITARRER.  Never heard of those bands? No worries because what it comes down to is the fact that TRISTESS play superbly catchy mid-tempo punk rock. Though I would not necessarily compare their sound to Denmark’s GORILLA ANGREB, they do share some similarities in the sense that they both play punk rock heavily rooted in the first wave of punk, sing in their native language, and both play it extremely well.

Released by Deranged in USA, Vinyl only! Both pressings have different colored covers and vinyl.

Hi Folks
If you are anywhere close to Umeå this weekend you should check out the punkweekend that we have happening here.
On Saturday our Club Ny Våg is Happening at Scharinska Villan.
Regulations and Insurgent Kid are playing and Mattias Alkberg is spinning the Records.
On Sunday we have an all ages show at the same locations with Regulations, The Lost Patrol band and Clorox Girls from the states. Should be a great weekend and a great way to start off the new year.

New Records:
The Lost patrol Band: Automatic Lp is out, turned out great.

And the big new is that that new Vicious Lp/Cd is finally out. Amazing record so make sure that you get your hands on it.

The Regulations: Electric Guitar Cd finally made it out as well, better late than never. The Cd version has both their 7" on it so it is worth to check out.

Coming up:
Knugen Faller are just done mixing their Lp, it took longer than we expected but it is finally done so early next year we will have it out.
The Stefan and the Problematix is being mastered as we speak so that should also be out early next year.
We are also doing a 7" with the Most that is pretty much done, anyone that saw them live at the Ny Våg club last weekend knows that they are a great band.
There is tons of other stuff in the works for next year. Hopefully we will do stuff with Insurgent Kid, The Vectors, a new Regulations 7", The Bombettes and tons of more stuff... I will keep you updated.

Next week I am finally doing a new Podcast, I just haven't had the time.

For some or another reason Myspace likes to delete the Lost Patrol Band myspace page. I have no real reason why, maybe they are dissapointed that it sounds nothing like Refused or something like that.
Anyway, we are back again and maybe this time they will let us keep the page up and running. www.myspace.com/lostpatrolband

I am going to add tourdates for the Lost Patrol tomorrow, it feels really exiting to go out on tour for real with this gang.
The Record is out on the 16th of october and the vinyl version will be out by then as well. check out www.nyvag.com or www.myspace.com/nyvagrecords for more info on that.
There is also some sort of video clip for I Don't Understand that will be added shortly + some live rehearsal stuff.

The bad news are that since yesterday Sweden is run by a right wing government. I am ashamed and dissapointed that people are falling for the same old crap again. I want to live in a world where words like community and solidarity means something, but people seem to opting for a world where we only care about ourselves. We have a rough couple of years ahead but this will also fuel the fire. All the best punkrock was written during crappy right wing goverments so... at least there's that.
