Coming to you at the speed of DUSK!

With the approaching San Diego Comic Con deadlines, Jester Press has several projects looming on the horizon as the sun sets!  All teaser and no spoilers.  I'm not even going to give any art samples 'cause I don't want to lessen the sting!

NIGHT

NIGHT 5

Daniel White provides awesome pencil and inks on this continuation of NIGHT 4. David Skinner confronts Bathory on the disappearance of Sabrina and let's just say, they don't get along. Buddy Prince provides the epilogue giving the reader a little glimpse of NIGHT 6's villain.

VOGHT : Shades of the NIGHT

Many of you have asked, "What's the story with Sabrina anyway?", and this is the series to answer those questions.  Voght SOTN will be a filling in the gaps series featuring many single issue stories giving the reader snap shots into Sabrina's past and a little bit more of why she is who she is.  No continuity here boys and girls. Just plain ol' claws to the walls action!

VOGHT 1

Fright-full yet fantastic mood setting artwork provided by Clayton Moore. Sabrina finds herself in small town America investigating some recent zombie sightings. Just as she begins to track down the villain, Krison and his crew show up and suddenly small town charm is overrun with vampire werewolf zombie madness!  There isn't any brain feeding here lovers of corpse!  No sir. It's wacky zombieness with an ending that will certainly surprise all fans of NIGHT!

VOGHT 2

Pencil shading extremist Dave Crowson lends his super realistic style to a dear story of mine. Sabrina's first night out. A chapter taken from my novel is beautifully illustrated in this wonderful story of release, freedom and of course werewolves. This little morsel provides the first meeting of Mr. E and Voght but that's it!  I'm not telling ya any more!

That's unfortunately about all that I expect to see print before San Diego but there are lots of cool things coming up which I hope to see print before the end of the year. Bill Maus has officially taken the pencil and begun drawing the NIGHT / NIRA X crossover.  Vincent Ferrante and I have found a very talented artist for the NIGHT / WITCH HUNTER crossover. Troy Rider's pages look awesome for his book and of course Buddy Prince will be continuing NIGHT with issue 6.

So, hopefully this update brings you hunger and anticipation!  Just wait until you see the art!  (insert evil maniacal laugh here)

So, we get asked a lot...okay...maybe not a lot...but at least a few times...whom we would cast in a NIGHT movie...so...here's my ideas....current choices for my dream casting of a movie

Sabrina Voght   Smart, impatient and short tempered with an unulitized sex appeal. A troubled lost little girl taking out all her mommy issues on the closest creature of the Night

I think Agnes Bruckner could pull it off.  Especially with her family background being half Russian...just like Sabrina...  I also think Charlize Theron or Katherine Heigl will work too.

Elizabeth Bathory....I know, I know..the original Elizabeth Bathory was not hispanic but I just can't help myself of this one..she's sexy and dangerous at the same time...everything our character is and more

Salma Hayek as Elizabeth Bathory but I'd settle for Adriana Lima (HA!)

Andrew Whildon, I go back and forth with this one.  He's Sabrina's anchor that keeps her as close to humane as possible.  Depending on the script, this would determine how much of a straight man he would become

I could see everyone from Bruce Campbell, Lance Henricksen or even Simon Pegg filling the aging FBI Agent's shoes

David Skinner, He's 18. A runaway and a werewolf.  Any current hollywood flavor of the month could fill his shoes...err..claws...so...insert current pretty boy scruff model underwear model kid here...

Mr. E.  Hate to say it...I'd love to see Mark Hamill in the role...and Yes!  It's because I am just that huge of a Star Wars geek!

From the Dragon Series we are developing

Mina is the Magician, she's smart and pretty so I'd go with Kate Beckinsale or Megan Fox

Breeta has a muscular build  and she is the swordsman of the group. She is strong and good with any weapon so I'd go with wrestler Jackie Gayda.

We are approved for San Diego Comic Con’s small press section!  So plane tickets are purchased, hotel rooms booked....now let’s finish up some comics so we have plenty of new product to push!

It’s very exciting yet very scarry at the same time!

So Zombie Con was yesterday!

For a first time event, it was pretty awesome.  Nothing like seeing a bunch of customers walking around the room as zombies!  Pretty slick and definately new for the area.  Nothing like any "comic show" I’ve ever been to before.  So it was a lot of fun!  We even got interviewed for a horror pod cast which is always a welcome thing!

There was a zombie film review so all you local people that have zombie movies to promote, a yes I do mean you CGS, this is a perfect outlet for you to promote your film!

Although, one artist did say he was "out of his element" and practically begged for his usual comic geek audience...it was a blast and I had a lot of fun. Here’s hoping it get’s bigger and better every year...just like a hoard of zombies should!

Artist Troy Rider and I (yes I know, two Troys....weird huh?),

We've decided to team up and do a comic with a different spin on it.  We'd like you, the werewolf fan, to submit your own werewolf design for the ending of the book.  I need eight or so to fill out the werewolf gang and I thought it would be really cool to use your designs...kinda like a thanks for the support thing

There will not really be a deadline until Troy....let's just call him Mr. Rider...gets close to the end but does anyone have any ideas on how I can submit the picts for votes?

Here's the link to the "offical" forum thread on werewolfcafe.com

Thanks in advance for your ideas and help!

Troy
