The plan today was to get the shitty car out of the shop, go to the Chinese bufete and then to wal mart. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The shitty car got about 3 miles away from the shop and quit...again. John's shitty ass car has left me stranded 4 times in 2 days! So we had to wait like 2 hours for a tow truck, since it broke down in the shitties part of fairbanks, we waited for the tow truck to arrive. 2.5 hours later it gets towed away. We were getting hungry, so I went to the hotel next door and got 2 kiddie cones for us. After the tow truck took away shitty car, we went to the Japanese resturant across the street called Wasabi Bay. It was really good but cost $50 for 2 people (which is about average in fairbanks). we had miso soup, salad, teriyaki chicken, lion king roll and yummy yummy roll. Neither one of us knew the restaurant was there till a few weeks ago i needed to make an emergency bath room stop and I wandered into the place. For some reason, ALOT of the resturants in Fairbanks are hidden out of sight. Soul Gate resturant (Korean) is located in the basement of the bowling alley, not really where one would expect to find a good resturant! The taxi ride back to campus cost $25. So glad I had a $100 bill with me
WHY DID HE HAVE TO SELL THE TOYOTA TUNDRA? IT WAS PAID OFF IN FULL AND IT WORKED..DAMN HIM

all you old time friends of my LJ remeber all the ranting and ravings I did the last time I lived in Fairbanks about the fundamentalist christian cult? Guess who I got to see yesterday...and I can't even TELL WTF their problem with me this time is...aparently I am going to hell for the following reasons:
1) I'm catholic 2) I worked for Disney 3) my flight to Alaska left from Las Vegas...oh noes..sin city...
Dustin, who never really spoke to me before came over to me and it was like I was being interoigated by the bastard. The demanding force in the way he was asking the questions is what really got to me, that and one of his questions was "so, did you kill the mouse?" I can only assume he meant Mickey Mouse? I wanted to say "no, I have a habit of giving away rodents that are not mine" because THIS is the mother fucker who gave my chinchillas away and all I wanted to do was kick him in the balls for the last year and a half. Anyways, the last time I seen this mofo, he always talked in a gentle, carefree way. This time, he was very demanding and forceful with his words. I can't really describe it, like he expected me to back down and run away with a tail between my legs or some shit and admit that he was somehow superior.
Next up was Mary. She is an old lady - like 80 something old. I guess she was asking reasonible questions like "how long are you going to be in Alaska", ect..but she was standing so damn close to me and I dont like people that close to me. Anyways she was telling she had been in alaska since 1960 something and as I was saying I dont know how long I am staying this time, Jim walks up by me and starts telling me I need to go someplace and find a home in a condesending way. I was like What the...? I was so tempted to say "well if you really want to know, I came back up here to fuck your congergation member standing right over there...") but I restrained myself.
noting but a bunch of hypocritical bastards

I so prefer livejournal for blogging, but eh...
Anyways, i spent all weekend with John and then i ended up sleeping through my literature class today. I did make it to my math class and found out I got a 96 on the last math test. To celebrate the 96, we went to North Pole to a chinese resturant.
That is all

Since I still owe this university some $$, I went looking for summer jobs that are within walking distance of the university. The closest place is an ice cream shop (similar to Martha's in Lake George). It's part time, $8.50/hr and I can get there in like 20 minutes. I am told I am hired and they will call me to let me know when I am supposed to start. Guess what. They never called. They did the samn god damned thing to me like four years ago. There is a small chance they may still call me, I beleive they said that I was starting this sunday. However, since they fucked me over once before, I don't really trust them.
I applied at the museaum on campusfor sales associate and i know damn well I am more the qualified to be a damn cashier, yet I haven't hard a damn thing from them. WTF? it's not like I am applying for jobs that require a certain level of skills here. All I want to do is get a job somplace so I can pay UAF the remaining money for my housing/tuition so that they will actaully LET me graduate next month.
Tomorrow, I shall go to Subway (only cause they pay $10/hr), and then to whatever the hell the Aspen hotel has changed to.Extended staydelux I think is the new name.
I suppose I could go back to Safeway. I don't really mind working in a Deli. The problem was their union fee's were a killer. It was a mandatory $300 fee to join the union and there were monthly fees that i HAD to pay, yet because I wasnt full time, I wasn't in the Union.
One of the girls I worked with a Safeway went to wal mart. I seen her the other day and she said they start everyone off at $12/hr. I asked her so if i got hired right now to go stock the toy department, I'm gonna get $12/hr? She said yes. It's every department. I need to go buy some craft paint anyways and fred meyers seems to have gotten rid of their craft section, so I have to go to wal mart anyways. Maybe I will apply for wal mart at the same time. The problem is getting over there. The red and blue line busses both go there BUT the buses stop running pretty early and not at all on sunday. John moved down towards the Chena Pump house and it's kinda far for him to drop me off and pick me up all the time.
Even if Hot licks puts me on the schedule, they are only open till september. I would perfer a more perment location.

Laura has fears of plane crashes
Bubbles has been in a kennel for a month
John flew back to alaska today.
Laura logs in to yahoo and sees "PLANE CRASHES IN ALASKA - 5 SURVIVORS"
Laura damn near has a fucking heart attack.
Laura skims the article for enough details to find out that it was a small bush plane going to homer alaska and NOT a commercial airliner Alaska airlines and therefore john would NOT of been on that flight.
That was about the WORST minute of my life right there...panic and fear and everything rolled up into about 60 seconds while i read that damn article
I need a stiff drink
