Hey everyone.  We will be having a professional video tape our concert at club 3 on the 31st.  So it would be awesome if you would bring tons of friends out.  We will be using this video tape for commercial use and it would look great if there was a huge crowd that was digging our stuff.  So come one out, and like Joel said, there will be free stuff.  Hope to see you there.

Hey all! We are in the Battle of the Bands for the 1st time at Club 3 Degrees. We really need your help to advance us. We need to prove that we have a following and that we can attract and keep an audience. Round 1 for the Battle of the Bands is Friday, September 7th, at 7pm. It is only $7 to get in, so it won't break your pocketbook. We'd really appreciate the support. So many of you have all ready shown us how supportive you are, but we need that plus more!

We will be giving away CDs to any SFN fan who brings two or more friends who have never seen us perform before! So come with all your friends for free stuff!

Ok, all you facebook addicts (I speak to myself included), we now have a facebook group up called "Searching For North Rocks!" If you are a fan, go ahead and join the group. In fact, if you don't have facebook, you should get it just so you can join!

Anyway, band members don't add fans to their personal facebook friends simply because it gets out of control and we reserve facebook for actual friends and family. If you want to keep in contact with the band, feel free to send us messages on facebook or comment or message us on myspace, but we don't accept friends on facebook unless we personally have relationships with you. Sorry!

 

So add "Searching For North Rocks!" to your groups on facebook. We'll use it as a concert promotion device too, so if you are part of the group you'll get all the latest news and concert info passed on to you immediately when it arrives. :)

Ok so hopefully you noticed the new songs posted on myspace now. Any favorites? In case you didn't see it, You're the One is available for download. Feel free to download it for free and show it to everybody you know. :)

As far as the upcoming website release, www.searchingfornorth.com will be the address of choice. Pretty straight forward, huh? Look for more news regarding an April release of that website, complete with forum, pics, music, bios, and more.

"You're the One" is now posted for your listening and adding pleasure! It is an "almost" complete version, only a couple tweaks (most likely unnoticable to almost everyone) will be made from this version. Within the next 2 weeks there will be 3 more songs posted as well.

We should be posting some of our recorded songs from this past weekend's recording session within the next 3 weeks. The cd is currently being mastered and produced for us and should be done within 2 weeks and shipped to us. It is a full EP, containing 6 songs, and it is titled "Searching For North: The Compass Rose EP."

This weekend, in Wisconsin, Searching For North is recording a demo cd with approximately 5-10 songs on it. Please be in prayer for us as we use God's gifts that He's given us to the best of our abilities.

Joel is currently sick with a cold of sorts and has no voice, so also be in prayer for that. He has to be better by Friday or this weekend will be all in vain.

In other news, the current band line-up for the concert in June in Iowa has changed a bit. See the current concert listing for June 10th for more details.

There is a strong possibility that Searching For North will be making an appearance at Cornerstone music festival later this year. Also stay tuned for more details regarding that.
