well we had a right good laugh on staurday, beginning to like dublin more and more every time we play there, cheers to iphoenix for having us up too, they were digustingly good on saturday. The venue was quite cool as well and had this mad projector thingy with leds that did these strange designs and mad colours while we played ( its much cooler than i can describe), neon stars were deadly too and i managed to drive around dublin not in a painic for once so it was all good! Also apoligies to anyone offended by donoghs unique sense of humour, in his defence he was blantly tricked into telling his joke and it was actually quite funny!
the lads have exams for may so thats it for now until we can pull together an updated set so expect to see us back in action mid summer. For now enjoy the rest of the ep that weve put up online, were hoping to demo again soon and once we have enough cash record and release another cd,
good luck to those facing exams,

We ll be on just after nine or so. This and another show in may will prob be our last for a little bit as we writing as much as possible at the moment and the lads must bluff there way through some tricky exams and projects. big thanks to everyone who was at the quad last week to witness our mess, it was  good fun though and iphoenix played a stomer! They are as a sound a bunch of guys weve met in a long time and were
really looking forward to playing with them again soon. Hopefully we
showed them a wee taste of what cork is like anyway! As always the quad were really sound and is one of our favourite places to play and booze.  In other news were just continuing to write and gig as much as we can between the boring parts of life such as work, college and sleep ( while donogh those all three he tends to cut back on sleep a wee bit), gigs coming up again soon, thanks again, damo.

Well its been a while but weve got a pretty sweet show coming up this thursday in cork in the pavillion for the launch of machismos new ep .... the swell....  the lads were kind enough to aks us and were really looking forward to this one. Heard a few tracks from it and it sounds massive! Also on the night are the smashing elk who just released their excellent debut album we should start our own gang last friday which you can go out and get in plugd. Other than that we actually have nt been up to much of late. Following the tour we took a wee break as i sold out and started a new job which has been taking me around the country, its like being on tour only i have to get up early and cant drink and its extremely boring... but now most of that has stopped and we have started to write and book shows again so we ll have plenty coming up. Loads of new ideas are floating around the place and we ll have some of them ready for this thursday. Other than that were planning on what to release next, maybe an ep maybe an album were not too sure yet but were itching to get back in the studio. Finally big thanks to ashley keating from red fms green on red show who has been playing tracks off fortissimo on his show  on sunday nights, legend of a man!
hope to see lots of people on thursday, free machismo ep with entry too!
all the best damo.

Current mood:  hungover

What an incredibly sweet laugh the last week was. We launched an ep, did a tour with Tae, partied hard and came out alive.  First off thanks to absolutley everyone who came along to the fortissimo launch on the 15th. We genuinely had no idea how many people were going to turn up and had a few worrying nights coming up to it. However we were just blown away by the number of people who  came out and sang along it was by far our most successfull gig to date. If we seemed a little quiet on stage that because we were nervous as fuck!  Hope everyone had a good night  and to those who bought the ep, cheers! we hope you like it.

I wont bore ye with all the details of the tour but it was a brilliant week. To everyone who came out and bought cds and watched and said nice things afterwards, thanks it meant a lot. We are two relatively unknown bands but we still managed to pull off a successfull tour. To be honest we expected a lot venues to be empty but people came out and it meant the week was big success, thanks again we are in yere debt!

Heres a list of  some of the incredibly cool and understanding people who without there help and roofs we could nt have had such a great week. Ross o donavan, Lousie from 903, ciarian at the cruiscin, livewire, heliopause, black bear saloon, delerium tremens, fight sequence, itcha, after the math,  mac from laverys, johnathon, pat, daire and the chief ( for being complete manics  ) bruised fruit promotions, darren at the inf warrenpoint ( nicest promoter we ve ever meant) bakers place and eamon dorans. Finally a major thank you to the avalanche effect lads for being such a laugh and cool guys over the week. Im genuinely going to miss  seeing them every night. There set was a major kick up the ass for us its outstanding. They gave us equipment, transport and hugs and without them we would nt have been able to do the tour. Thanks lung, heff the scut, frank, steve and last but not least johnny p aka johnny deju vu aka jon pearson who pretty much set up the whole thing and drove us around you are a legend!

Thats it now we ll have some photos up soon. Im off to sleep for the next week..

Current mood:  determined

Hello to all just a quick update to all things happening in burn us both. In the last few weeks we have been frantically organising the final touches to getting our new ep ready and out there. Its going to be called fortissimo and were well happy with it. It was recorded by the smashing ross o donavan down in data recording studios in the wilds of ballyheige. Not enough good things can be said about ross and data recording studios only that he s an awesomely cool dude who is amazing at what he does, simple as.  We are launching .... fortissimo.... with a week long tour of this lovely island starting in galway on the 14th and ending in dublin on the 19th. The official launch will be in cork in the cruiscin lan on wedneaday october 15th. There may be one or two more dates added as well. We will be joining forces with total legends the avalanche effect for the tour in  what is being dubbed messfest 2008. Needless to say its going to be a hazy week of rocking and drinking, we cant wait! We can also announce that joining us for our cork launch will be outstanding instrumental rockers heliopause. We played with them a few weeks ago in cyprus avenue and were blown away by them, so its great to get them on the bill!

so thats it really hope everyone can make it out to the shows and come along to the launch in cork on october 15th, its going to be our biggest headline gig that we ve put on so we would really appreciate any one who even has a passing interest in our band to make it along! all the best BuB.

Current mood:  busy

A quick blog to say thanks to all who came along to our show in the hub last week, it was despite the rain and general stress of playing in the city a very enjoyable gig. A big thank you must go to shane s aunt eileen for letting two stangers stay in her sitting room :) Machismo was excellent and opened the night with one of the coolest songs id heard in an age, while snowman were as always class. We ve seen so many snowman gigs over the last two years but they never get boring. We ourselves played a good enough set, quite happy with it :) Thats our last booked gig for a little bit, so now were concentrating on getting the ep/ mini album thingy mastered in the next week or two and then getting it duplicated and printed, plus  we must sort out a venue for the launch and hopefully a jaunt around the country proper in october. So thats it thanks again to everyone who came along to the gig, it was a right laugh and we ll be back up there again soon enough , laters damo.

special thanks to mini and james for coming up legends!
