We regret to announce that after 7 long years of playing gigs releasing some singles and recording Midas have decided to call it a day. We'd like to thank each and everyone of you who have come to a gig, bought a cd or supported us along the way. We've had a lot of fun playing in this band but have decided to go our seperate ways and achieve different things. The list of people that deserve kudos from ourselves is long and extensive but hopefully you'll realise you fall into this list if you've done any of the above. We'll leave the tracks up for free download and if asked we'll swap them around so you can get hold of any/all Midas songs you like including some unheard stuff that was originally planned to be the next release.
Thank you so much for all your support

Thanks to everyone who made a proper good effort coming down to Cardiff to see us last night!
Turned out to be a great night in the end and its warming to know we have so many real friends down there who will come out to our shows and dance and scream all night!

Keep an eye open as we will likely be back in January

Thanks again all

The fun didn't stop as Kerrang! introduced indie chart topping local lads, Midas, who have just seemed to get it right. Teenage girls (and the occasional boys) filled the front rows of the main stage. The indie/rock/electro mix is a popular choice by many new bands at the moment, often slipping into a total 80's theme, but by not overusing the synth Midas seem to maintain the rock sound, especially thanks to Kris's well suited voice which echos shades of Patrick Stump. I received a copy of Midas's set list at the end of the gig whilst chatting to the frontman, upon returning to the photography pit, I was almost mauled a group of screaming girls (which is great, right?) Yes, until they seem way too grateful that I wasn't interested in keeping the Midas set list.

YO!

hey guys and gals thankyou all very much for coming out to see us last night, the place was packed and you guys did your very best to remove the ceiling it was wicked, possibly one of the best shows we've played to date. Hopefully we'll get some video footage of the gig up very soon so you can watch again as Rich climbed up the P.A, the nutcase. Hell if you have photos of the event don't be shy and whack them up and share and share alike.

We'll be heading into the studio very soon indeed to work on some new stuff but till then keep checking back or even add a profile song to your page, that ways when we whack some new stuff up you'll know to check back!

Some big thanks to Rich T @ The Civic, Catering (top notch curry action) & Stu the monitor engi (for not flaying Rich!!)

See you guys real soon

Hello all,

Touring is going well so far with Workhouse festival down, Kiddi, Stourbridge, Redditch...it's all going a bit quickly. Cardiff promises to be a mental one so feel free to come down and share in the maddness, drinks after me thinks. Anyway the real reason for posting this blog is to let you guys know we are featured at Room Thirteen as their band of the week, you can read an interview there and listen to a couple of tunes. Time for sleep.
