Listen up ladies and gents. Might As Well is looking for a new body to front the band. Could be anyone. But it has to ROCK OUR SOX we havent been spending time writing kick ass songs to get a not so kick ass frontman/lady. So we're doing a talent search. If you are or know of anyone who would like to audition please email our myspace page or cmarasovic@hotmail.com and we will take you through the steps necessary to audition. We have a few songs recorded roughly to write over top of so you wont be coming to the audition unprepared. Give us a shout and spread the word. P.S. we may be changing our name.

yeah, i know, it's been a while since we've updated this crap... hey, we're busy with work/girls/leisure activities/beer/skateboarding/etc.

so we got some new photos taken finally. thanks to Sarah for doing a killer job with a bunch of sweaty, crabby, funny-looking dudes. we'll post more once she releases them to us. :)

we're opting out of the official release crap for the new EP for now. so basically, we have them ready to go for you and your mom, and you can get them at any of our shows, and hopefully online soon for cheap. we think you'll like it. we do.

we're kinda in the midst of a little myspace exclusive sorta thing right now... i can't tell you much more than that, but i guess i can say that our pals, Humanifesto recently did something similar. shh. it's still unfinished, and still a secret.

shows. we're in the process of confirming a bunch of shit. that's why we have diddly fuck all posted on here. we'll post them up as soon as all the kinks are worked out, cause we wanna see you there.

hey everyone,

just wanted to shout a quick holler at all our friends from Kilburn, London, UK. i'm here on a long-planned vacation, and i've been having a killer time. people are pretty obnoxious in London, and shit's WAY too expensive, but the culture and sights put anything we have in Canada to shame. i spent time in a museum today outlining the history of London back to 500AD, and visited some 1000 year old Roman ruins today. pretty sick...

anyway, i can add that while i'm having a good time and all, i'm stoked to get back home and get shit rolling properly on all the good stuff that was put on hold while i learned how to talk with a silly British accent. a bunch of unexpected stuff came up just before my departure, and things were slightly delayed for the EP release. it's in progress, but a couple weeks behind the release date. blame me. to our Midland friends, we're gonna whip up something special for you guys to keep shit rocking, i promise.

the weather's getting warmer (from what i hear) and this means we're gonna be getting anxious to hit the road. we have a bunch of dates as soon as we get back, but we're sure to be harassing the likes of you and your friends to help get us out there.

Hi everybody!

Mark here....just wanted to say hi, and give a quick update......

As you may or may not know by now, we recorded a 3 song ep with Mr. Greg Dawson, and are picking up our final mix in the next couple days...... and then it's off to the presses........I'm not gonna be an idiot and give a specific date, but i will say we hope to have it ready within a month (ish)haha, that oh so important "ish".....

Again, wanna give thanks to anyone who has taken the time to check out our title track from the ep, "kings and slaves"....we are really grateful.  We do have a couple shows lined up, and we'll keep ya posted on them, but we are kinda laying low until we get this shit released......then we plan to play a ton......so, we hope to see you at a show sometime soon!

thanks so much. the response so far to the new material is amazing, and we have you guys to thank for the giant stoke we're all feeling right now. seriously, it means a lot. you guys are a huge part of this. like we said before, keep passing the good word if you like what we're doing; it means the world to us.

so i've been told that early next week, we should have a final master in hands. then all the other crap to get it into your grubby mitts. a bunch of you are getting free ones; you know who you are. there may be a little contest for Might as Well merch online too. stay tuned.

Jay and i are doing the recovery thing right now. annoying. Jay hacked himself up real nice with a slicey device at work, and i just got a cast on my wrist today. turns out i broke it last wekend skateboarding at the Hoof bowl. lame. we'll be back in order soon. this effectively means a six week (at least) hiatus on my masturbatory exploits... sigh...

wow. just wow. ben here...
so aside from the exhaustion, i have never been so stoked to be cooped up in a studio...
this project is going so well... way beyond my expectations. greg is a peach, and even more of a perfectionist than even Mark or myself.

so it was a bit of a late ngiht last night, but we got all the cuts down for the main vocals on two tracks. incredible. i can't beleive how good it all sounds. you're just gonna have to take my word for it right now... :)

we're back there again today to complete the vocals. Mark should have some of the harmonies down before i arrive. stoked. if all goes well, this should be our last night of laying stuff down. we'll keep you posted. Mark has pics to put up here too. check back!

Hi everybody!

just wanted to give a quick lil' update on what's been going on in the last week or so....

First off, thanks to those who came out to the show in midland on the 7th, it fuckin rocked......definately worth the drive to midland.  Extra props to the dude who pulled the backflip off the stage during our set.....and to his friend who got kicked in the head. We're playing there again, hopefully within the next month, so check back for confirmation.

Soooooooooooo............for the last few days we have been cooped up in Mr. Greg Dawson's basement, recording our new ep.  Saturday was dedicated to the drums, and went off without a hitch. Sunday, the guitars got underway, and everyting was looking great. Monday was going to be dedicated to getting the guitars done, and hopefully starting on the bass, however Jay ran into a little problem....that problem was a meat slicer....and he didn't so much run into it, as he did put his hand in front of it....so, in a flash, jays recording hopes were washed away, like so much blood down the drain. But, have no fear, mike stepped up and finished the few parts that jay had left to do, and we aint looking back! tomorrow, bass gets under way, then its just vocals, harmonies, and pressing! WHEW! We're all really stoked with the way it's turning out, so check back with us on when it's gonna be ready! thanks y'all!

hey y'all, what's happenin'?  Mark here....

Just wanted to give a thanks to all who participated in the "you look good" snowboard comp. last weekend at horshoe valley.  We played a set before the finals took place, and man.....it was the coldest half hour ever.  We are used to having sweat run in our eyes....but, snow?! Although it was cold, some troopers stuck it out, and watched our set, and for that, we thank you, it was a fun show, one that we feel lucky to have played.  We have some pics that will be posted soon.

Also, just wanted to mention that we now have some t - shirts available....look for them at upcoming shows! (we'll keep ya posted on when they are) Also, just a reminder that we hit the studio in less than 2 weeks, so we'll have new recordings available pretty soon.

Might as Well is hitting the studios with Greg Dawson (Moneen, The Reason, Choke) to record a brand new EP. we're gonna be doing 3 or 4 new tracks and are pretty much peeing our pants with anticipation! we're booked for April 8, and will be cooped up together until that shit is as tight as Christian's pants.

we're aiming to launch a brand new website, some clothing, and a bunch of other cool shit all at once! basically, we have our work seriously cut out for us. stay tuned over the next month or so as we start whipping this shit into shape!

tell your friends we like them, too. (except that mean kid who picks on animals. he can eat shit...) spread the word if you like what you've heard.

greetings, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who caught our set on saturday night in Streetsville/Meadowvale. it was incredible to be back playing live, and i really enjoyed having my "cherry popped" (gross, Mike...) with Might As Well, and all you holligans and hoodlums. cheers. i'm getting new buttons made this week. probably some decals too. we've been talking a lot about getting a new EP going, and it's gonna happen sooner than later. we will also be getting some clothing going soon, cause we know your shit is getting ratty...mine sure is... oh, and expect more shows to follow very soon. ;) xo ben & might as well
