2007 was a very good year for Video games. We got a whole bunch of "Triple A" Titles and a few sequels to epics. So heres my list of the top Five games I played this year:

5. Counterstrike: Source
What can I say? I got back into this earlier this year, as we played 1.5 at school. Its addictive. I was playing "gun game" and got so good, I was banned from the internode [My ISP] servers, for "hacking". I mean I called it a really, really, really good round. If you haven't played counterstrike before, you can't you consider yourself a gamer. Full-stop.

4. Final Fantasy XII [12]
Say what you want about JRPGs, I eat this shit up. I love final fantasy titles, I have since VII [7]. I know the story's going to reasonably the same each time around, but I play anyway for all the things I love. The cut scenes were so sexy. That being said, the new battle engine was weird for me and I preferred the old "Sphere" customisation system. Not to mention the fact I never finished the game, as my PS2 died. So if you have a PS2 to lend me... please do =D

3. Bioshock
The story was deep in this game. I mean deep like the bottom of the sea deep. The twist in the middle was not something I was expecting. Too many time you can see whats gonna happen before it does. I was not prepared for what happened in Ryan's office.My jaw dropped and I actually said out aloud "Holy crap". The game play was awesome. I had endless amounts of fun setting traps and setting splicers on fire.

2. Orange Box
[Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal]
Orange box for me was awesome. not only was it five games for $60, they were five awesome games. I had never played half life 2. I never saw the hype. I've played it now and I get it. Its awesome. Can't wait for episode 3.

Portal was some proper epicness. It was Funny, not like trying to be and failing, but actually funny. The levels were challenging enough to make your brain think. The storyline was very well done and very well thought out. The game-play was sick. Instead of having a gun that shoots bullets, you have a gun that shoots portals. This made you think about your decisions. Also, the song at the end was pretty cool too.

Some games didn't make the list, like tekken 5 [which I love, btw] and some of the big "AAA titles": Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, not to mention Call Of Duty 4 which Rach told me to try. But, onto number one:

1. Psychonauts
Most Fucking epic game I've played this year. I loved every minute of this Psychonauts. There are some awesome things in this game, You get to explore the mind of a paranoid skitzphrenic and save his alter ego. You gain a power to see what other people see you as. You battle napoleon in a "Risk" like game. (which becomes a game in a game in a game... in a game) Its sick. If you haven't played this, do so now, its on steam for $10 USD (11ish dollars AUD)

Has anyone else played/finished the epicness that is portal? I played it a little while back, finished it and now I'm dying it play it again. Unfortunately my Graphics card died shortly after I finished the game and is being replaced. Long story short, Thoughts/Comments on the game?
