HOLIDAY MAGIC, a gift for children of all ages - BRINGS JOY TO HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN

Donations Sought for Compilation CD to Pay Production Costs, Widen Distribution

SAN DIEGO, November 20, 2008- GelderHead Productions, offering professional voice-over services to enhance business communications, announced today that it is spearheading the continued production of "Holiday Magic 2008…a gift for children of all ages," a CD featuring music and a holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and their siblings in addition to Children’s Hospital’s in Orange County, New Orleans, Albuquerque, Milwaukee, and Houston. A number of singers and actors donated their talent for the CD, and funds are currently being solicited to cover the cost of production and ensure as many children as possible receive them.
Jeff Gelder, owner of GelderHead Productions, distributed 1500 CD's to five hospitals in 2007; he hopes to exceed that number this year and plans to "play Santa" on December 11th at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. Donations to purchase as many CD’s as possible are needed by 12/5/08 and are appreciated year round. The tale on the CD is weaved by Jeffrey the surfer Reindeer and Santa Claus as they make their way from the North Pole to visit the children of San Diego. Along the way they meet Jeffrey's cousin, Carlito, who lives at the Wild Animal Park. Then we were introduced to Kate the feisty teenage reindeer from Milwaukee and in 2007 the story went to New Orleans to meet Kate’s cousin Peeshwank the Porcupine who was affected by hurricane Katrina. In 2008 Santa gets a new hi-tech sleigh complete with GPS to replace Rudolph, until the GPS stops working and Santa gets lost and sends Jeffrey back to get the more reliable guide…Rudolph!

The talent this year is remarkable, and includes award winning singer and actress Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura from the Star Trek) and her voice actor sister Marian Michaels. Other performers who generously lent their talent to the CD are extraordinary vocalist and recording artist Peggy Lebo, Broadway singer Ashley Linton, September Day Leach, singer, song writer Karl Anthony, and recording artists Beth Wernick, Jeff Davis, James Higgins, Erik Sheppard, Nikki Saco, Hector Navarro, Donna Reed, and many more.

Microsoft manager and writer Mark Patterson penned the script, and Santa Claus, Carlito, Kate, Rudolph, Donner, Blitzen and Jeffrey the Reindeer are played by professional speaker Phillip Tanzilo, voice actors Greg Dehm, Heather Martinez, Tina Wilson, Connie Terwilliger, Sam Bass of KyXy 96.5fm and Gelder also of KyXy 96.5fm, respectively.

The first CD was produced six years ago, when Gelder was tasked in a Landmark Education class to come up with a project that would enhance the community and ultimately take on a life of its own. That's just what has happened, as Gelder now fields many inquiries about the CD all year long. "This year we hope to once again have CD's for Children's Hospital's in Milwaukee, Albuquerque and Orange County in addition to San Diego and New Orleans and we've added Houston plus we’ve continue to have requests from other hospitals around the country.

For every $2.00 donation a child will receive a CD of their own," says Gelder. "This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are unfortunately spending the holiday season in the hospital and their siblings, who often crave attention due to so much being given to the ailing member of their family," Gelder said. "We appreciate all donations! The more donations the more children that will be receiving a CD."
