Hello friends,

I have a new project out now called Wizard Of Cause. It is very different from the JTodd tracks...but I find most people to be pretty open minded these days.  This is a lo-fi noise pop LP, and if you are a fan of things like Deerhunter or Wavves or Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti then there is something here for you.

It's out now on itunes so please give it a listen.

WIZARD OF CAUSE at itunes

Thanks errybody!

Hellofromearth...

Well, the new lp is done...and it's all instrumental.  Pure rhythm and sound.  It'll be out soon on amazon and itunes and emusic etc...until then you can download a few traxxx right here, and there's a couple of outtakes up here as well.

Hope all your summers are going well...I am slowly digging my soul out of a pit of tragedy (had a friend pass away recently) and I hope to be in a better state soon.  Thanks to all for paying attention to the music and leaving your kind comments.

Special thanks to Lia, Salva, Epcot, K.I.D., Tarik, and H.Strong...

Well it's been real good having some down time...although getting solid sleep is always a rarity for me, last night I was out for 9 hours. Finally feeling a little more normal...

Hanging out in London today and it's beautiful...70 degrees, sunny, ahhh...going to Munich tomorrow to slam some bass thru the system and see how Ghettotech they are over there. For now though I'm gonna head over to Camden and have a drink with David Laub...and see if I can find a Heavy Metal cover band to watch like the last time I was there.

I miss the crew back home and I'm looking forward to being in the cut with you again next week...hold it down till then.

Top 5 this week:

DJ Blaqstarr - Shake It To The Ground

Kid Cudi - Day N' Nite

Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull - Center Stage

Kid Sister - Damn Girl

Glass Candy - Rolling Down The Hills

Hello all...

Traveling to the UK once again on Monday...Hundred Strong Live Tour in effect!  I am sooo looking forward to this one.  It's getting back together with good friends and banging the drum.  It's performing songs that I actually wrote and recorded in the UK last year, so it'll feel good to get these out in the open.  Gonna chill a bit in Bristol and London and I need that...been working my ass off these days.

Also gonna do a night in Munich solo style.  DJing and MCing...and hopefully my thing will go over alright there.  Non-North American club nights can be pretty high pressure for me.  It's a very different dance culture in the UK and Europe.  But hey I think I got my finger on the button right now so we'll see. People are people and I'm bringing the 808's so yo...I'll shoot 'em in the ass on the downstroke.

If you are in the area pls come check me.  I'll let it bang and we'll get down,

Peace-J

This is just an illusion,
this is just a game,
this one is just a reflection of somebody else’s claim to fame,
When I wake in the morning,
and even when I get down in the night I see,
there’s a hole in the universe,
so I turn up the beats and fight...

I’m going to be attempting to hit escape velocity from the infinite black hole of musical nostalgia that has its grip on 3 out of 5 people over the age of 19. The craft to be piloted will  be the U.S.S. DEF HARMONIC lifting off at MADPLANET this SATURDAY NIGHT.  Luna9 and Epcot plus Salva have returned from the west coast to reassemble the bridge crew and take it there.  Also, the fleet will be joined by RUSTY Ps, K.I.D. MILLIONS, EPCOT+SALVA, BTSWRKNG, and MAURO COLUNGA.

Def will be performing...that’s right...3 NEW SONGS!  Joints, if you will. This blog began with the chorus to one of them...so learn it, live it, be it...

Attention all personnel!

K.I.D. will be celebrating his onehundredthirtyfirst birthday on the night as well.  Let’s get crunk...

Greetings.

So I’ve been beatboxing...among other things. I have a show coming up and it’s going to be me and only me all by myself...well not if you count the several tiny audio computers that will accompany me onstage. So ok, it’s me who is still at least half human and uhhh, 3? No 5...yes 5 small yet powerful devices to organize and push electronic impulses into your brains as I sing about love, hate, rejection, astrology, anger, mental illness, the weather, and memory loss.

I’ve been doing some things with a loop station and it’s been real interesting...and humbling. But I figure even if I fuck it all up it will put a little bit of organic error back into the otherwise glossy world of electronic music and these days it seems failure is the new success...although it may be more accurate to say accidental weirdness is the new normal. And there will be plenty of that I’m sure.

Anywayzzz...it’s this Saturday at the Cactus Club in Milwaukee. Some other great folks are playing as well: Mystery Palace is great. The others I’ve not experienced yet...but there will be beer.

Come on down...my newest computer does a mean fadeout!

So...finally I get back to making some new instrumental tracks. Been hard at work on the Leo Minor album, but took some time out to get into the slow shit again. The results are now posted.

...and perhaps not so coincidentally...

There is a new JTodd instrumental track 'The Night' now available on the Beat Dimensions Vol 1 (Ep3) 12inch on Rush Hour Records. Available through their website. Check and buy!
