Far From Perfect

She's not perfect, but that's OK
We all need help along the way
It doesn't matter what they say
You are who you are
She's not buying what they sell
She kept falling after she fell
The whole world is going to hell
She wished upon a star

When everything is wrong, nothing is right
She just lies there, awake through the night
Every single day is a never ending fight
For the girl with the unexpected, far from perfect life

She smokes but her boyfriend doesn't know it
She cuts herself, but she doesn't show it
She has a chance, hope she doesn't blow it
She can't cover all the scars
No one has seen all the tears she has shed
No one knows what's in her head
No one knows why she hasn't fled
Why is life so bizarre?

When everything is wrong, nothing is right
She just lies there, awake through the night
Every single day is a never ending fight
For the girl with the less than splendid, wants to end it, unexpected, far from perfect life

Love hurts, boys lie
Friends cry, people die
Parents yell, you always try
You're never good enough and you don't know why

Other parents say they love her
But she gets no love from her mother
She's held down and she is smothered
She needs to get away
She wants peace, but causes violence
To herself, to bring the silence
She's so small, her problems are giant
It's like this every day

When everything is wrong, something will go right
She just laid there, awake through the night
Every single day is no longer a fight
Things will get better for her less than splendid, wants to end it,
Can't fill the void, completely destroyed
unexpected, far from perfect life

Ready, Set, Go Away

No one wants you here
And no one wants to hear
What you got to say
So please just go away
You said it wouldn't last
That I'm living in the past
But I'll get through the day
When you finally go away

I'm not calling you annoying
I'm just hoping that you leave
You think that you are helping
But you've only brought me grief
You're giving me a headache that you just will not believe

Ready, set, go away
Ready, set, go away
No one likes you anyway
So ready, set, go away

Thought I was in the clear
Your words are like a spear
You said it's a mistake
Just give me a break
You can talk the talk
But you can't walk the walk
But I'll get through the day
When you finally go away

I don't want your opinion
I'm wishing that you leave
I don't know what you're hiding
Deep inside your sleeve
I thought you were my friend but how could I be so naïve?

Ready, set, go away
Ready, set, go away
No one likes you anyway
So ready, set, go away

I know you got a plan
But I can't understand
Why you're doing this
Like I do not exist
And when you're gone, you're one thing that I'm not gonna miss

Ready, set, go away
Ready, set, go away
No one likes you anyway
So ready, set, go away

Ready, set, go away
Ready, set, go away
No one likes you anyway
So ready, set, go away

Like Yesterday
(Thanks Howard)

(I want a) girl who goes and sings in the rain
Who's beautiful with the matching brain
Who leaves me speechless again and again
The girl who's perfect and far from plain

(I want a) girl who isn't afraid to laugh
Who wears clothes that don't always match
Who loves me for the guy I am
I can cheer up when she feels bad
I'll say that…

(Chorus)
Everything will be OK
The sun will come up like yesterday
Brightness is much better than grey
And please don't go away

(She wants a) guy who plays on the football team
Who dresses good and won't make her scream
That one who will treat her like a queen
The perfect guy she sees in her dreams

(She wants a) guy who's never immature
Who promises that his love is pure
That guy who's rich and never poor
Who holds her close, makes her feel secure…
And he'll say that…

(Chorus)
Everything will be OK
The sun will come up like yesterday
Brightness is much better than grey
And please don't go away

I'm not wearing a mask or disguise
The guy you want is in front of your eyes
As I wipe all the tears from your eyes
The guys you want are all full of lies
But…

(Chorus)
Everything will be OK
The sun will come up like yesterday
Brightness is much better than grey
And please don't go away
Don't go away…

I Will Let You Know (Golden Girl)

I will let you know, our love will grow
Just take my hand, I'll never let go
Our love so fine, because you're mine
I'll love you till the end of time
These memories of you and me
They will live on through history
The time we share, and how much we care
A love like this should not be fair

I will let you know, It's set in stone
You have my love, my heart you own
And in my mind the end of time
Is still too short for you and I
Some people see this as make-believe
It's the greatest gift you can receive
And in my brain, if you would change
A love like this, then you're insane

(Chorus)
You are my golden girl
When I have you I don't need the world
You are my golden girl
A love like this can change the world

I will let you know, you said just go
If I'm so great, why am I alone?
You once were mine, our love was fine
But we can't go back and fix time
I guarantee that you and me
Were destined to make history
Are you aware? You can't prepare
For this level of despair

(Chorus)
You were my golden girl
When I had you, I didn't need the world
You were my golden girl
A love like ours could have changed the world

[Bridge]
I had it all, you caused my fall
It still feels like I just hit the wall
Can you tell me why I can't see
This barrier between you and me?

Where is my golden girl?
That girl who makes me ignore the world
Where is my golden girl?
That special girl who completes my world (x 2)

What Do You Want?

A battle for control- you can't get what you want
Everything is perfect- at least thats what they want
You try your very best- to give them what they want
But no one seems to care- to give you what you want
You try to break free- and go do what you want
To go out on your own- to go do what you want
Now you're by yourself- and doing what you want
Then you realize- you don't know what you want

Sometimes you gotta find who is in charge of your life
You choose your heart over your mind, you can't decide which one is right

Your eyes are open but you're blind- what do you want?
You don't know front from behind- what do you want?
So much to do and theres no time- what do you want?
And you're still stuck inside your mind- what do you want?

Authority preventing you from doing what you want
But your mind is set- so go do what you want
No one wants to do what you want
You can't tell others to do what you want
You try to keep a secret- don't tell them what you want
You keep it to yourself- don't tell them what you want
Everyone finds out- they all know what you want
Then you change your mind on what it is that you want

You look at life through your eyes and no one else is on your side
You choose your heart over your mind you can't decide which one is right

Your eyes are open but you're blind- what do you want?
You don't know front from behind- what do you want?
So much to do and theres no time- what do you want?
And you're still stuck inside your mind- what do you want?

They have their expectations and you have your own
When you fail your relations it chills you down to the bone
And in this life you must smile sometime, don't be afraid to step over the line
You don't have to be like everyone else, just keep your head high and be yourself

Your eyes are open but you're blind- what do you want?
You don't know front from behind- what do you want?
So much to do and theres no time- what do you want?
And you're still stuck inside your mind- what do you want?

Nobody's Listening

I hate to say I told you so, but it's too late
Cause you have already done the things that I hate
You gave him one too many chances on the first try
I sat there and told you he's not great
You ingored me and told me you can't wait
You let him control you and all I can ask is why
He left you so many times just so he could see you cry

I don't like to tell you that you're wrong
But you have been that way for so long
You think you are happy but you know that it's a lie
You're trying to be brave, smart and strong
You want to be lieve that he belongs
Everything is perfect, thats what you see in your eyes
But you know that deep down inside, you just wish you could die

Why does it seem that nobody's listening?
Everyone thinks that they're the one who's right
Nobody wants to be the one who's listening
You're wondering if it's worth the fight

I know that beggars can't be choosers
But why do you have to pick the biggest losers?
I know that beggars can't be choosers
But why do you have to pick the biggest losers?

Why does it seem that nobody's listening?
Everyone thinks that they're the one who's right

Why does it seem that nobody's listening?

Everyone thinks that they're the one who's right
Nobody wants to be the one who's listening
You're wondering if it's worth the fight
