SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING is a musical entity that has a little more than "something special." The undeniable creative chemistry between the guys, and the energy that radiates from the stage when they perform: both are things that instill a certain feeling in their audience. It is a feeling of attachment, a need for more music.
After forming in October 2006, the anticipation for sucess was both justified and magnified only seven months after their first time playing together, when this no-named local act earned the opportunity to open the Bamboozle 2007 weekend on the main stage, and perform on a bigger stage, and in front of a bigger crowd, than many other bands ever have or ever will. Without wasting any time, they continued to win two more battle of the bands, and perform at the NJ Warped Tour and the Movin' On festival at Penn State University, all before being a year old. Brothers Marco and Carlo Colasacco, and friend Stephen Lemos, performed and recorded under the name Someone Say Something in their early teenage years. There were various line-up changes, but in the Fall of 2006, looking to take their band to the next level, the guys acquired two new members, Tim Sussman and Ryan Harte, filling in the missing pieces, and locking in the current and final SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING line-up.
Armed with their addictive melodies, driving rhythm, and absolutely electrifying live performance, SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING is now tearing up the scene all over New Jersey and beyond, consistently creating pandemonium everywhere they are allowed to make some noise; be it at a bar, club, venue, university, or in cyberspace.
Their infectious musical and lyrical personality is finding its way to a much wider audience this Spring, when they release their EP. SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING is bursting at every seam with catchy hooks, and upbeat rhythm. Prominent life experiences are imparted to the listener with a happy-go-lucky, slightly sarcastic tone in songs such as Let the Games Begin and Because of You. The opening track, Lose Control, is a triumphant introduction to the record, giving the audience a taste of the "adult" side of the guys. There is strong sentiment and emotion in the power-ballad Summer's Gone. Also, Little Man is the track that truly shows the five guys' versatility and lyrical creativity.
2009 is going to be a big year for these five guys. In addition to all of the touring, record selling, and winning over of new fans, there's no telling what is on the horizon for SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING.
