Bill Word and Laughing Grape Comedy proudly present the sixth annual California's Funniest Female Contest (CFFC) beginning Friday, April 4, 2008 at Khoury's Restaurant in Long Beach, California. The contest will run for 17 nights on Fridays and Sundays from April to June. On June 14, 2008, eight finalists will compete for the title and over $1,800 in cash and prizes. All contest finalists will be featured in a DVD that will be available to the public. Funny females travel to California from as far as Australia and Ireland to compete in CFFC.

Laughing Grape Comedy extends a special welcome to groups of women celebrating special occasions, like birthdays. With advance notice, these celebrations will be recognized during the show. For reservations and group ticket sales visit www.LaughingGrapeComedy.com or http://www.funniestfemale.com

This year's CFFC is bigger than ever and will be held at beautiful, seaside Khoury's Restaurant in Long Beach. Guests will enjoy a full bar and an excellent dinner and dessert menu. See www.khourys.net for more information.

All 17 nights of CFFC will be filled with laughter as a comic host leads a line-up of funny females seeking to advance to the finals. Industry professionals will judge all rounds of the contest.

All shows begin at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices start at $10 and group discounts are available.

Bill Word and one of America's top-rated clubs, Martini Blues at 5874 Edinger Ave., in Huntington Beach are hosting the sixth annual Orange County's Funniest Person Contest from August 24, 2007 through October 20, 2007.  Bill Word began producing Orange County's Funniest Person Contest in 2002. What began as another vehicle to promote Orange County comedy and feature some of the funniest comedians in the area today, has become a hot spot for entertainment.  The contest has been featured on NBC, PBS and the front page of the Orange County Register.  The list of comedic competitors have television credits which include NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show and Oprah!

I want to thank everyone who attended my birthday show (2/17/07) at Martini Blues.  No joke, it was the best birthday of my life.  I am blessed with wonderful friends.  Words can't express my appreciation for your love and support.
