Just came back from a succesful launch, and the Maple Mountain EP is up for grabs!
It's a fivetrack limited to 300 numbered copies, and it's looking pretty good. Price is £3 plus shipping which is usually about 1 pound maximum. As long as they last, badges are included with getting the cd. Order one now to get an early number (im a pop nerd and care about stuff like that) by sending an email to me on emil.brynge@hotmail.com.
Stay tuned!

To follow the success with the previous Witches Hat, our new EP called "Formerly Emil Brynge" will be released at the Slaughtered Lamb on the 14th of november, and there's an Amazing line-up to help us celebrate!

Line up will be:
Maple Mountain (that would be us)
Sister McGee (Two female members from The Bobby McGees)
Superman Revenge Squad (extraordinary lyrics)
Dan Clews (haunting folk from kentish strawberry farmer)

Entry is £6 or £4 with guestlist (just send me an email and I'll put you up on it!)
In the full entry price, a copy of the EP is included! (which is pretty awesome)

Hope to see you there!
Lots of love

Hey lovely folks,

There will most certainly be a name change of the group very soon, so keep posted to keep track of what we're actually called. Or you might loose us! Perhaps forever!

Anyway, rehearsals with the full band is taking place these days, it's really exciting, band is ten times more fun than solo, and ten times more work too.
Our first ever gig together will be on wednesday the 14th at the 12 bar club on denmark street, tube to tottenham court rd. Come down!

After that, the next gig is at the gallery café in bethnal green, a free entry gig and the band will probably be a little bit stripped down (and no, not clothing-wise you pervs!). Just played the HungaMunga festival there and it's really cosy. One of my favorite acts on that evening was The Bobby McGee's, worth checking out for you who didnt know about them.

That's it for now, as soon as the new name is set there will be some cool merchandise as well, along with our new cd.

Im gonna pop a question out to you reading this, and it is:
-Whats the most illegal thing you've ever done?
Tell me your most illegal deed to emil.brynge@hotmail.com, I wanna hear the juicy stuff! Or if you killed someone, and dont want to talk about it, lets hear your second most illegal deed.

Hey y'all!

My time in sweden is treating me really well, started out with some fishing and blueberrypicking with my brothers kids and went from there to start rehearsing with a band in stockholm, with the goal being a gig at 'Landet'. The gig took place the day before yesterday and was great fun, plus a lot of people showed up for it. Putting up a picture of it here below, one of the solo numbers.

We'll be taking our stuff down to the south for a gig at Malmö's KB/Vinylbaren soon, looking forward to that a lot. It's a venue/restaurant in an old american dinerstyle, with heartstopping milkshakes and an intimate stage. My kinda place!

Now Im going to bake cinnamon rolls!

Speak soon

Hey folks,

The myspace-page for my folk club 'The Witches Hat' is up now! You'll find it on www.myspace.com/thewitcheshat or in my top friends. Add me and come down and join me on the 10th of October!
It will be 2nd Saturday every month, and be about the best contemporary folk music around, and nothing else.
I'm glad to announce that the first headline will be 'The Owl Service', who are truly amazing.

I'm in Sweden right now, picking blueberries and fishing. Will soon go up to Stockholm to start rehearsing with the band I'll do my Sweden-gigs together with. They are some great musicians, so Im excited.

Hey,

I'm looking for some great people who'd like to join my band this autumn.
If you play drums, percussions, bass, banjo, fiddle or anything else you think I might find cool, you should definitely contact me. Either on here or on emil.brynge@hotmail.com

Hey there good folks,

I thought I'd write a couple of lines about my gigs this autumn. The two new autumn updates I have is the Hungamunga Festival in Gallery Café, Bethnal Green, London on sat 26th of september. The Hungamunga guys's stuff are often far from what you'd expect from your avarage showcase, so I think it'll be a fun daytime gig. On the 5th of November, i'll be opening for the amazing Lonely China Day at the Dublin Castle in Camden, London. Check them out on www.myspace.com/lonelychinaday.

What's probably the most exciting thing of all for me, is that on these gigs I'll be playing with my band. No more going solo, oh no. I'm currently doing three things at once when im playing. Song, guitar and bells on my foot. If I do one more thing myself I'll become a circus act, so I better team up with some nice fellow musicians.

Love

Emil

Good day to you!

So this is the last song in my latest upload spree. It's not the final version though, it's going to sound a bit different on the EP. Actually, most of the songs will be slightly different on the EP.
Its pretty much days left until 'Daisies & Clog-fiddles' goes to the presses, and Im really excited about it. It will be, by far, my best looking release. And I think, my best sounding as well.

I'm doing a short set for Bandstand Stage at great '1234 Shoreditch Now Festival' this sunday. It will be me solo, where's later this autumn I'll have a band with me.

What also happens later this autumn, is my folk night 'what comes out of the WITCHES HAT' (or just 'WITCHES HAT'). I'm currently booking the first couple of acts for it, Im really excited with the bands I've got hold of so far. Facebook- and myspace-page and all of that will follow soon.

Stay in touch!
