Forgot to tell you all - in September we won the Somerset Battle of the Bands!

As well as the prize money, we won a recording session with John Ratcliffe from Sprint studios and a professional photo shoot with Marianne Harris, (who took the photo below) totalling the value of £2500. We also ending up with front page coverage on all the local papers!

Glastonbury festival office reviewed it on their website:
"Far closer to home, 2005 JazzWorld finalists Dragonsfly picked up the Mid-Somerset Newspapers' Battle of the Bands winner's trophy for 2006 on Sunday. Virtually every other band in the competition was a rock band, but Maya Preece and her band of many talents ably proved that ancient French sheep-shearing songs performed on accordions and hurdy-gurdies sometimes just rock harder."
