AUSTIN AVANT-GARDE

The Austin Avant-Garde Showcase will feature cutting edge music, fashions and art from some of Austin's most innovated talent. The event will take place at Mohawk Nightclub on February 28th. Golden Arm Trio, fronted by the versatile Graham Reynolds, will headline the event. Govinda will provide music for the fashion show and will perform a second set featuring belly dancers and video projections. Joseph King, Williamsburg Brooklyn, will perform on the inside stage along with Laura Scarborough and the designer DJ duo Team Fabrication. The Fashion show will feature styles from Boudoir Queen, Downstairs, Fetish, Cream, and Wet Salon amongst others. The event will also include a diverse 2D and 3D art exhibition featuring work from Sean Gaulager [cofounder Cantanker Arts Magazine], Ricardo Acevedo [She Rocks Calendar], The Painterly Handsomes, Amelia Winger-Bearskin and C. Paul Verga.
