Vous pourrez donc nous donner vos idées, commentaires, etc. http://driftindrifters.blogspot.comWe spent the winter writing new songs for our next release. We have already a dozen of them. We will record acoustic versions (one every week or so...) to put on our myspace, so you can tell us what you think.

Formed in 2005, Driftin' Drifters is a punk rock band from Quebec city. Their sound can be described as a mix of punk, country, rock and folk. It might remind you of Social Distortion, Rancid and even sometimes Bruce Springsteen. The band uses influences of each member but especially from the Max's writing song signature. Their goal : be back to the punk rock roots, making the best songs they can with three chords! Their lyrics are about to be true, to be free, about love, hope, drinking and touring.
Dave Chamberland (Drums), Jimmy Voyer (Bass), Phillipe St-Laurent (Guitars and Back Vocals), and Maxime Harvey (Vocals and Lead Guitars) have a lot of experiences in the underground music scene. Dave as a Fifth Hour Hero (1997-2007) toured in Canada, USA, U.K., France, Italy, Germany and Japan. FHH released 2 full length, 2 ep and 6 seven inches. The band was on the independent record label from Florida No Idea Records (Against Me ! Hot Water Music). Jim played and toured with a couple of bands and he is a booker in the qc area for bands on tour. On his side, Phil was the lead singer in the band Narrowcast. They released 2 cds and played about 100 shows mostly in Quebec province and Ontario. Finally, Max played in FGTC and The Awards (1994-2003). They toured in USA and Canada. The bands released 3 cds that sold about 1500 copies each.
In 2006, Driftin' Drifters recorded a twelve songs demo. Not satisfied with the result, they decided to not release it and continue to write songs. In fall 2006, they recorded a four songs pre-prod that was the Drifters sound. In spring 2007, with three microphones and a laptop, they recorded and produced themselves their first seven songs ep : Back on Track. They released it on their own label : ELCHIVAS Records. Their first show as Driftin' Drifters was on november 10th 2007.
They are currently working to book shows and to write new songs that will be released next year.
