Hiya Folks,

Cunning/Merry Meet! (Once again!!!)...

It has been a long time!!! I hope that you are all well? And hugest of apologies to eveyone online for the lack of communications!!!

On the 16th September 2007... our internet and telephone line crashed after problems with our service providers computers, as it happens they deleted all records of both my telephone account and my internet account. Literally I did not exist...

It took me from 16th Sept. to 10th October 2007 to sort out my telephone, and they screwed that up too!!! Setting me up a brand new account, rather than reconnecting an existing account... heck! they even spelt my name wrong on the new phone bill account... and after months of them not setting me up with an internet connection I basically got fed up with them!!! so told them to stick there service you know where?

Anyway... I've finally sorted my internet access out!!!

As of about 30 mins. ago!!! I now have mobile internet on my laptop!!! So the internet can be taken with me anywhere!!! Where-ever I am with my laptop!!!

I haven't sorted my new email out yet!!! But I shall do that a.s.a.p.

Though I have been off-line!!! I still have been extremely busy!!!

Cyrkel Spynn Magazine. Volume Three - Issue One was released a while back!!! And is still available for sale... in it's new format as a CD-ROM magazine. Most folks whom were on our promo list will already had recieved there copy... those folks whom we didn't have a snail-mail address on file for, your copies are still on hold/reserve.

So, if you are reading this and either you thin your on our promo list for a copy of the mag. or would like to obtain a copy?

Please contact us via our snail-mail address a.s.a.p. at:

Alan Craw, Cyrkel Spynn Magazine, DMMG, 299 Martin Street, Sheffield, S6 3DS, UK.

Other news? at the end of 2007 and beginning of 2008, I also released my first CD-ROM book. The Divell's Dozen - Volume One. Copies are still available... and again details can be obtained from the snail-mail address above!!!

I have also got plans for the release of another CD-ROM Book, around mid-November 2008, titled - Liber Luna - The Book of the Moon (A Grimoire of Lunar Magick). And... also I have begun work on the next issue of Cyrkel Spynn Magazine. Volume Three - Issue Two. This is also due for release in Mid-November 2008, and will be released in 2 formats to celebrate the magazines 13th Birthday... it will appear as a standard edition CD-ROM and limited edition DVD-ROM.

Submissions of material for the magazine can be submitted again to the above snail-mail address.

Look forward to speaking with you all soon!!!

Hiya Folks,

Cunning/Merry Meet!

In less than 12 hours (at time of going to press!)... Sheffield's leading Post-Pop-Punk stalwarts will enter the recording studio at Elland, Halifax for a 2 day recording session lasting 10 hours per day (20 hours in total, excluding the mix-down and mastering session) to record their debut label CD Single and CD EP.

Leather Zoo will be entering Woodman Recording Studios at 10:00a.m. through to 8:00p.m. recording both Sat./Sun. The band will record between 4 to 6 songs...

Then will enter at a later date for the mix-down and mastering session of the Single/EP... after the completion of the second leg of their European Tour.

They will also of course enter The Studio at Hartlepool as well (after the tour finnishes) to complete the mix-down and mastering of their live album.

So you can expect several releases from the band in the late Summer and early Autumn... which may include the following?

Limited Edition "Double A-Side", 7" Single (t.b.c.).
CD Single.
CD EP.
Limited Edition CD EP (t.b.c.).
Live CD Album.

With of course a full UK and European Tour (we hope!) to promote the releases of the above.

There will also be other "Official" record label endorsed merchandise available too, to coincide with the above releases such as "Leather Zoo" t-shirts, posters, stickers, pin-badges, etc.

Watch this space for more info... and wish the band luck over the weekend with their recording sessions.

Take care, regards and Best Wytches'

By Hoof, Horn and Stang... FFF(F) and Blessed Be.

PS. DMMG will be organisng an "Exclusive Interview" with the band for 1 lucky magazine/fanzine... that magazine will be invited into the studio with the band for an exclusive interview/photo shoot during the bands mix-down and mastering session of their debut label single/EP. If you are a magazine/fanzine editor and would like the chance to meet and interview the band for an exclusive feature, then email us at: enquiries@cyrkelspynn.com

We will announce which magazine gets the exclusive interview feature before the band enters the studio for their mix-down and mastering session. Watch this space!!!

Bliss/Aquamarine Zine Reviews!

http://www.blissaquamarine.net/zinereviews26.html

CYRKEL SPYNN Vol 2, Issue 1
Great to see the return of Cyrkel Spynn, a fascinating publication on pagan music and culture, which was originally around back in the 90s. The format has changed from arty handwritten fanzine to a more formal word processed layout with colour photos, but the content is in much the same spirit. This issue includes interviews with writer Philip Gardiner; The Daughters of Gaia, Gaia Consort and Polly Moller, all of whom are musicians I'm intrigued to hear more about after having read their interviews; Julia and Jon Day of Capall Bann, a publishing company focusing on paganism, folklore, mind-body-spirit and associated subjects; and Julianne Regan of All About Eve. Also included are essays by Chrichton E M Miller, Philip Gardiner and Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain on various esoteric topics, and music reviews ranging from big names such as Tori Amos, Nightwish and Blondie to obscure underground bands such as Mothburner. Anyone with an interest in alternative music and/or alternative belief systems should check out this zine. More info from
enquiries@cyrkelspynn.com and also from the following websites - www.myspace.com/alancraw

and http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/cyrkelspynn/

THE WYTCHES' STANDARD #3
From the same stable as Cyrkel Spynn, this is the journal of the Traditional Witchcraft Research Network. The intro talks about critics who scoff and claim there is no such thing as Traditional or Hereditary Witchcraft, "but for those of us on the inside and receiving these teachings, well ... we know different". I'm aware of the views of academics who argue convincingly against any form of pagan witchcraft being a genuine survival, and also that those people termed 'cunning folk' and 'charmers' did indeed exist, practising magic, divination and so forth, but did so within a Christian framework. However there is very little out there from actual practitioners of that which is known as traditional witchcraft with which to compare the evidence, as it is such a secretive movement. As I know very little about it, I'm certainly not qualified to judge whether or not the movement represents an authentic survival from ancient times. The Wytches' Standard gives away no secrets, but presents a collection of articles of interest to traditional witchcraft practitioners as well as those involved in the wider witchcraft/pagan movements and those interested in folklore or mythology. Particularly notable in this issue is an extensive 18 page, fully referenced article by Shani Oates on the practices of witchcraft in the Christian era, and also an article on Slavic folklore by Andrija Filipovic and Anne Morris, describing practises which have a definite Christian veneer but relate to such pre-/non-Christian concepts as divination and forest spirits. Philip Gardiner asks if Jesus is an impostor, and discusses the Lady of the Lake and serpent worship, whilst Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain asks whether a creation myth exists within modern paganism. Also includes 3 pages of book and magazine reviews, a page of websites related to traditional witchcraft, and a recommended reading list. A meaty and thought provoking read; contact Alan Craw at
hernesmagister@yahoo.co.uk

THE WYTCHES' STANDARD #1
Since reviewing the above, I've received a couple of back issues of The Wytches' Standard. Starting with Issue 1, this includes articles by Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain on the Stang (a forked stick or pitchfork used in traditional witchcraft); the witchcraft god Goda; the rite known as Housle; the alchemical Azoth; and a taster for his forthcoming book on traditional witchcraft. Well known writer Michael Howard, editor of The Cauldron magazine and author of numerous books on various occult topics, contributes a fascinating article on the late Robert Cochrane, one of the leading figures in traditional witchcraft as practised in the modern age. Paul Fury describes the folklore of the fox and its relevance to pagans. Andrija Filipovic gives us another installment of Slavic customs, which reveal a syncretic mix of Christianity and non-Christian folk tradition. Nathaniel J Harris, in The Truth of the Black Sabbat, describes a variety of witchcraft that has far more in common with the medieval accounts of diabolic witchcraft than to the varieties of neopagan witchcraft which distance themselves from Satanism. Harris' witchcraft is a provocative and controversial mixture of anti-Christian blasphemy and lewd sexual rites; a witchcraft that rebels against taboos, not a witchcraft that aims to be accepted by mainstream society. (See above for contact info).

THE WYTCHES' STANDARD #2
In issue 2, there are essays from Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain on folk traditions concerning Saint Lucy and Lillias, and the use of the term 'Magister' within witchcraft. Michael Howard contributes an article on the hermaphrodite goat god Baphomet. There's another batch of Slavic customs from Andrija Filipovic and Anne Morris. Shani Oates writes about oak and holly lore, and there is also part one of her well-researched article on the survival of magic in the Christian era - a very interesting and informative read. From a personal perspective, I was pleased to see that the article covered Anglo-Saxon and Norse magico-religious practise, as the history of Northern European religion and magic is one of my own main areas of interest. Robin the Dart muses on witchcraft, spirituality and politics, whilst the amusingly-pseudonymed Sue Pernatral responds to Nathaniel Harris' article in the last issue. Finally there are listings of magazines, books and websites with relevance to traditional witchcraft. Contact as above.

THE WYTCHES' STANDARD #4
The latest issue of The Wytches' Standard features essays by Philip Gardiner on the Templars and Baphomet; serpent patterned swords in myth, literature and history; and serpent worship (the last of these co-authored with Gary Osborn). Robin the Dart writes a poetic and philosophical article on certain aspects of traditional witchcraft belief and ritual. Past issues have shown Shani Oates to be an author of very thorough and fully referenced articles, and her article on Lucifer in this issue is no exception. Here she puts forth the argument that despite popular perception, Lucifer is neither Satan nor the morning star.
Mike Nichols provides a thought-provoking article on the popular concept of witchcraft and Wicca meaning something different, and asserts that they are actually the same thing as 'wicca' is simply the archaic Saxon term for a witch. He is of course right about the etymology, and gives ample evidence of the concept of religion and magic overlapping in history, thus arguing against the belief that 'Wicca' is purely religious and 'witchcraft' purely magical. However he also admits that words do change their meanings over time and that this could be what has happened already with the word Wicca. It is certainly so that pagan forums are overrun with the 'Who can and can't call themselves Wiccan' debate, which is usually concluded with the statement that 'Wicca' only relates to the religion founded or popularised by Gerald Gardner, and that all other forms of witchcraft have no right to use the term. Solitary witches in particular are usually told they can't call themselves Wiccan because Wicca is a specific mystery religion which they have not been initiated into. 'Wicca' as it has become used today has become a convenient way of distinguishing between Gerald Gardner's form of initiatory witchcraft and other forms, even if etymologically speaking they mean the same thing.
Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain also contributes a thought-provoking article discussing the pros and cons of self-initiatory and solo witchcraft versus coven witchcraft. He also provides an article on various tribes occupying ancient Britain, a poem on initiation, and a review of Nigel Jackson's Medieval Tarot. As usual the zine also contains a list of magazines, books and websites with witchcraft/pagan content. Contact as above.

CYRKEL SPYNN Vol 2 Issue 2
Brand new issue of this excellent zine focusing on pagan, gothic, alternative and underground music and culture. Includes interviews with Alan Trench of Orchis (who used to be involved with the World Serpent label), Steve Andrews aka Bard of Ely (multitalented musician and writer, good to see him in here), Mothburner and their newer project The Elegance Society, Attrition, Celtic Legend (featuring Emily Ovenden, also of Mediaeval Baebes), Soul Path and Unfinished Thought, along with an article by Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain about ritual tools used in witchcraft, occult poetry by the same author, and an extensive review section including Eliza Carthy, Nightwish, Leaves' Eyes, Cunnan, Sol Invictus, Far Black Furlong, Between the Waters, Belladonna, Catherine Anne Davies, Omnia, Tori Amos, Evanescence, To-Mera, Ayin Aleph and more. (See Cyrkel Spynn review above for contact info).

Hiya Folks,

Cunning/Merry Meet!

DMMG needs you?

Bands are needed for possible appearance at our bi-annual "Live Showcase" Events.

DMMG are organising a "Label" Showcase Event twice each year beginning in 2007.

The idea is that twice a year we shall showcase a concert, with each concert hosting 2 to 3 bands whom we as a label are interested in either helping, or possibly offering either a licensing or record deal to in the future?

Bands will not be payed for the event/gig but will get the chance to play at a 200 capacity venue, with the gig recorded professionally... for possible future release as part of the...

Darker Side of Twilight. Live Showcase CD/CDR album series.

To be released on either of our recording labels - Altar-Ego Music, or... Dark & Wise Recordings.

The live concerts gigs will be voted on by both the audience at the gig and a panel of DMMG staff... this will count as part of the decision of whether or not we would offer the bands playing a future licensing or recording contract... also counted towards the decision of course will be the quality of the live event itself and the record of the gig.

We currently seek a headline act/band for the 1st showcase event gig, to be hosted, all being well sometime towards the end of April 2007.

Conditions of the gig and showcase appearance are that bands are unsigned and based in the United Kingdom.

Entry to the gigs are FREE! Thus bands will not be payed for the gig... as we will be making no money from it... in fact the gigs will be costing us a fair some of money to organise!!!

Not to mention... the cost of venue hire, hire of the venue staff, hire of recording equipment to record the gigs, hire of sound engineers, hire of PA, hire of bar staff, bouncers/security, etc.

Bands interested should apply by sending a demo/tape/CD and press pack (photo/Biog.) to:

"Live Showcase",
DMMG,
299 Martin Street,
Sheffield,
S6 3DS,
United Kingdom.

Details for the events are as follows;

DMMG presents:

Darker Side of Twilight '07 (1).
Altar-Ego Music/Dark & Wise Recordings.
Record Label Live Showcase.

Featuring - 3 bands full details to be confirmed!
Date - End of April 2007. exact date t.b.c.

Darker Side of Twilight '07 (2).
Altar-Ego Music/Dark & Wise Recordings.
Record Label Live Showcase.

Featuring - 3 bands full details to be confirmed!
Date - End of October 2007. exact date t.b.c.

We currently have 2 bands in the pipeline to play at the 1st event, but a headline band is needed! Full details will be available soon!

Bands are also sought for the October slot... so get in touch and apply to get on the bill?

You never know this might be your chance to get a record/licensing deal in the near future? Not to mention the chance to play a decent gig to hopefully a decent sized audience, where you the bands will have the chance to flog your merchandise and also gain media coverage.

I look forward to hearing from you and receiving applications from artists wishing to appear?

Take care, regards and Best Wytches'

practices of Traditional Witchcraft in the British Isles).

By Herne's Magister.
(Aka - Ailean MacRath-MacPharlain).

(c)copyright Cyrkel Spynn Publications 2004.

Enjoy? Take care, regards and Best Wytches'

By Hoof Horn and Stang... FFF(F).

Ailean (Herne's Magister).

PS. the book will contain 22 - 23 chapters in total.

PPS. Here's the "Sneaky Preview".

Chapter One.

An Old-Crafte "Wytche", in a Modern Pagan World.

The so called "New Age" fraternity and modern "Pagan" or "Neo-Pagan"
Witchcraft culture gained focus of public prestige in the later part
of the 20th Century due to such personalities as Dr Gerald Brosseau
Gardner and Alex Sanders. Both of whom where publicly
declared "Witches", or as modern day Pagans term it They had come
out of the broom closet/cupboard and called themselves "Witches".

Gerald Gardner hit the media and press headlines in the 1950's and
1960's. After publishing several books what claimed that he was a
member and an authority on Witchcraft. And primarily stating that he
was a member of an existing Witchcraft Coven based in the New Forest
area of Hampshire, England.

This claim was proven fraudulent? Due to the fact that Dorothy
Clutterbuck (Dorothy Fordham) was a rather well-off middle-class
member of society, and somewhat Conservative (a loyal Tory Party
member) member of the community, along with also being a High
Anglican. Gardner's followers claimed that through membership of a
Rosicrusian Theatre (The Fellowship of Crotona/The Crotona
Fellowship) and interests in Freemasonry/Co-Masonry and Occultism.
Numerous contacts led to him being introduced to/and later becoming a
member of a supposedly Witch Coven which had survived in England with
an unbroken oral tradition that goes back to pre-Christian
times/days.

This said first "Witch" group led by Old Dorothy, I surmise never
existed as a group with distinguished links to the old Witches of
antiquity?

And was obviously a play on his (Gardner's) personal interests in
Occultism, so that he could begin to create a pseudo-authentic
history for a tradition, which would later begin to emerge with
predominance from the 1950's onwards.

The second claim was that Gardner had been initiated by, a Witch whom
went by the name of "Dafo" (Could it be through his Masonic contacts
in the Rosicrusian Theatre he was led to Dafo?). Dafo's real name was
discovered to be "Mrs. Woodford-Grimes".

My own informants have told me that "Grimes" in fact was one of the
family names which has previously been associated to Traditional and
Hereditary Witchcraft, along with approx. 12 other family names in
England and Wales. Some of my informants have also claimed
that "Dafo" only Initiated Gerald Gardner to the Initiatory rank of
1st Degree.

It is most definitely known that Gardner began to be publicly paraded
on a social level by Mrs. Woodford-Grimes (Dafo) within Co-Masonic
circles from around the period of 1944. So thus, I put forward the
assumption that Gardner gained actual Initiation into Dafo's Magickal
Order in 1945? Whether this was actually a Witchcraft Coven? Or a
Magickal Group of other persuations we will probably never know? And
due to Gardner associating the said New Forest group with Witchcraft
upon a public level, Gardner's friendship with Mrs. Woodford-Grimes
later collapsed. And after the period of 1958 Dafo no longer has any
involvement to play in Gardner's future associations of Witchcraft.
In fact Dafo, gave up any Occult involvement, some have said? So that
she could live with a staunch Christian niece.

Another turn up for the books was that in the following year of 1946
it is said Gardner had a meeting with the renowned Occultist and
Magickian Aleister Crowley. This said meeting was said to inspire
Gardner to gain permission from the New Forest Coven to go public
concerning their involvement in Witchcraft and Magick. So that he
could write and publish his first book "High Magic's Aid". The so-
called condition for publication of the details in the book
concerning Witchcraft made by the New Forest Coven, were that Gardner
would have to write the book in fiction format as a novel. Gardner
wrote the book under his "Ordo Templi Orientis" (pen) name
of "Sire". With the actual book first gaining publication in 1949 by
Michael Houghton. And then later, his second book - "Witchcraft
Today" (This time a factual rendition of supposed Witchcraft
practices?) gaining publication in 1954 by Rider and Company.

Just prior to the year 1954 when Gardner had his first factual book
published. In 1951 the "1735 Witchcraft Act" was repealed and
replaced by the "Fraudulent Mediums Act".

So, did Gardner ever gain actual Initiation into Traditional or
Hereditary Witchcraft? And, was Dafo really a Witch?

Several modern Wiccans (the name given to a modern Witch, who's
practices are akin to those of Gerald Gardner and Alex Sanders), seem
to have made the claim to the fact, that it is true? The late Doreen
Valiente (one of the Wiccan High Priestesses of Gardner) claimed to
have met Dafo in 1952. But, we shall speak of Doreen Valiente later.
Also, Lois Borne, another of Gardner's High Priestesses states In her
book "Dancing With Witches" that Dafo did not really exist, and to
prove that she did, someone would have to meet her. Thus two members
of the Coven, which Lois Borne was a member of duly had tea with
Dafo, whom supposedly received them graciously. Dafo stating that she
was fond of Gardner, but would not be drawn into conversation
concerning the New Foresr Coven. For those whom do not know, Lois
Borne, was Gardner's High Priestess, within the Bricket Wood Coven,
in Hertfordshire, England.

So, I state again! Did Gardner ever gain entry into Traditional or
Hereditary Witchcraft? And, was Dafo a Witch?

It is known that both Doreen Valiente and Lois Borne, have had access
to the Old-Craft and Traditional Witchcraft practices. Lois Borne,
claimed again in her book "Dancing With Witches" to have been a
member of a Hereditary Witchcraft Coven in East Anglia? After her
departure from the Bricket Wood Coven, supposedly Borne, was
introduced to the Coven by persons named Margo (and later Bertrum).

As for Doreen Valiente, well after her departure from being High
Priestess to Gardner, Doreen became a member of a Traditional
Witchcraft Coven led by a person named Robert Cochrane. The practices
of the coven led by Cochrane differed immensely to those of either
that of Gardner's New Forest and Bricket Wood Covens. In fact
the "Cochrane" `Craft were to later hit loggerheads with that of the
Gardnerian Wiccans, in the mid-1960's, which led to a media-war in
the Witchcraft Research Association's publication "Pentagram"
magazine. This media-war was spearheaded by Cochrane's Coven members
and that of another of Gardner's ex-High Priestesses (whom is based
in Sheffield, England), that of Patricia Crowther. And, her late
husband Arnold Crowther. This later led to the final destruction of
the organization the Witchcraft Research Association. And,
Cochrane's immense dislike towards that of the Gardnerian tradition,
led to Doreen Valiente eventually leaving Cochrane's Coven.

But what of other possible connections between that of the modern
Wiccan movement created by Gerald Gardner, and that of Traditional
and Hereditary Witchcraft?

Certainly there are!!!

In the later part of the 1990's a previous aquaintance of my own
author - Tony Steele, published his first book - "Water Witches".
Within the said book he claimed that a group/family of Hereditary
Witches existed in the Staffordshire and Hertfordshire areas of
England, led by a person named "Grand-dad King" (Edward King). Tony
states in his book, that Gardner had approached the King family, and
disputes had occurred in the family concerning opinions for giving
Gardner entry into the family tradition. Also within Tony's book it
claims that, Gardner gained entry to the Hertfordshire branch, in
1945, after the death of Harry King in January 1945. Thus due to the
disputes within the King family concerning Gardner, causing an
irrevocable split between the Hertfordshire and Staffordshire family
branch members has thus never been healed.

This leads of course to further questions! Who was Edward King? And
was Mrs. Woodford-Grimes (Dafo) a member of the same said branch of
Witchcraft led by Grand-dad King's family? (Personally I doubt it!)
And what of Harry King, and the family disputes over Gardner?

Thus we shall leave the subject of Gerald Gardner, and move forward
slightly to the much controversial personality and subject of the
late Alex Sanders.

For those of you who know the names of Gerald Gardner and Alex
Sanders, and the controversial origins of the Wiccan (Modern
Witchcraft) tradition, these two names will be familiar to you? As
all other forms or styles of Modern Witchcraft stem their roots to
the practices of these two people.

But, what of the late Alex Sanders and his wife Maxine? Did they ever
gain access to Traditional or Hereditary Witchcraft practices? There
is plenty enough evidence to suggest that it was so? Most modern
Wiccans will no doubt have heard of the controversial book "King of
the Witches" (The World of Alex Sanders) by June Johns.

But, what of the contents of the book, in which numerous claims are
made concerning the origins of Alex Sanders involvement in Witchcraft
and Magick. We know that Sanders was a keen student of Ritual Magick
and gained access to a copy of the "Key of Soloman" and "The Magus"
it states so in June Johns book. Though, what of Sanders claims
concerning Initiation at the age of seven years by his grandmother,
this undoubtedly is false. Whether Sanders himself, made this claim
or it was a fabrication of Johns (the author of the book) I certainly
do not know.

What I do know is that Alex Sanders had definitely gained contact
with numerous Traditional Witches. Whether this was before he began
his quest to set-up his own branch of the Wiccan tradition or after I
do not know? It is definitely something I would like to speak to
Maxine Sanders concerning?

The book itself "King of the Witches", should not be disregarded as
totally fiction when it comes to the "World of Alex Sanders", it
certainly gives numerous clues and half-truths, concerning Alex's
involvement or connections with that of Traditional Witchcraft.

But first what of Sanders involvement with the Wiccan tradition, how
did he gain access to the Wiccan "Book of Shadows"? If he was
never, at least originally, Initiated into the Gardnerian tradition.

For those whom don't know, there is no such book as the "Book
of Shadows" in Hereditary or Traditional Witchcraft. Gerald Gardner
stole this name for his book of psuedo-archaic rituals, from the name
of a form of Oriental (possibly Chinese?) method of divination, which
includes the use of binding chords and knots to gain answers to
divinatory questions.

At a certain point in Sanders Magickal studies, when living in the
Manchester area, he hit a hiatus or low, being unable to make contact
with Witches of any other persuation. He thus traveled to Sheffield
to meet up with Gardner's ex-High Priestess Patricia Crowther, so
he could introduce himself to her and ask for possible membership to
the Sheffield Coven that she ran.

Patricia Crowther, for whatever reason took an instant dislike to
Sanders, and thus was refused access. However, this was not to be the
end of Sanders involvement in Wicca. Through meeting with Patricia
Crowther, Sanders was led to meet another Witch whom lived in the
Derbyshire area, named Pat Kopanski. Whether Kopanski introduced
Sanders to the Crowthers, or the Crowthers indroduced Sanders to
Kopanski I do not know? But what I do know is this, through this
inevitable meeting with both these Witches Sanders gained access to
the Gardnerian "Book of Shadows". Primarily, Patricia Crowther's
version of the "Book of Shadows", and because of thus, Alex Sanders
gaining the Crowthers book via Pat Kopanski, and his Initiation
to1st degree by Kopanski. The Crowthers have hated
Sanders ever since. Thus to the extent that Patricia Crowther even
published a whole chapter in her book "One Witches World",
virtually all of which is dedicated to that concerning her
discrepenses with Sanders. The chapter named "Double, Double" in
her book "One Witches World" begins concerning the Crowthers run-in
with members of the "Witchcraft Research Association" (as previously
mentioned) and then quickly moves to the subject of the Sanders.

My opinion is that this chapter in her book is un-called for and un-
necessary. The peoples concerned namely that of Alex Sanders is dead,
and the Witchcraft Research Association no longer exists. Thus,
making her continuous rantings pointless!

As for Alex Sanders, we know that he gained access to the
Gardnerian "Book of Shadows", by whatever means, he was thus then
able to begin his true quest as a pioneer in the history of the
modern Witchcraft movement, and that of Wicca.

What of Sanders communications with the Witch Pat Kopanski? And,
who was Pat Kopanski? It is said that it was possibly the
responsibility of Pat Kopanski that laid forth the fruits so that
Alex Sanders would eventually meet the Witch Paul King. Alex's wife
at the time (before his (Alex) death, on Beltaine (May Eve) 1988), is
said to have claimed in a newspaper article (Manchester Comet 23rd
June 1965, page 32. Titled "Witches Dance Pagan Rituals Under the
Moon", by Chris Robbins.) that Alex first met Paul King at a Coven
meeting in Poynton, South-East Manchester, England.

We also know that the Sanders either prior or after this meeting with
the Poynton Coven, became involved with the Witches of Alderley Edge,
also south of Manchester, in Cheshire, England. The Coven said to
have been led by a Traditional Witch by the name of Aleister Clay-
Egerton.

In fact in-direct reference is made to the Clay-Egerton family in
June Johns book "King of the Witches" pages 38. Concerning Egerton
Hall of Tatton said to have been built in 1872.

So, did Pat Kopanski, Paul King, and Aleister Clay-Egerton, know each
other? I certainly think they must have? In fact they all stem from
the same branches or family of Witchcraft traditions. Most likely
that of the tradition, which Aleister Clay-Egerton Initiated Maxine
Sanders into, within the caves at Alderley Edge, which Maxine
mentions within her own book "Maxine Witch Queen".

And also for those whom don't know Aleister Clay-Egerton was
Initiated in the Summer of 1941 into a Traditional Witchcraft Coven
whom practiced at Alderley Edge.

So what of the Traditional Witches and their `Craft? Who were these
people, who are Pat Kopanski, Aleister Clay-Egerton, and Robert
Cochrane? And do any of them have any connections with each other?

So the ideas is that we

Cyrkel Spynn Publications / DMMG (DisAssocation Music & Media Group)

Independently produce our own annual list of record companies, publishing companies, and magazines of numerous genre/style, from the independent labels, and underground labels to those in the mainstream.

The main idea being that this will be a useful resource and contact point for information and publicity for bands/musicians/artists, record companies, publishing houses and authors, along with other folks interested, etc.

Some of the possible Categories for the Register will come under the following:

Record Companies.

Music Distribution.

Music Publishing Companies.

Music Law/Attorney.

Film/Media/TV Production.

Sound Production/Recording (Film/TV).

Audio and Sound Engineering/Production.

Book Publishing/Publishers.

Magazine Publishing/Publication (Paper).

Magazine Publishing/Publication (internet).

Other Categories.

Band/Artist Managers/Agents.

Film/TV Actors/Actresses Agents/Managers.

Tour/Gig/Concert/Events Promoters.
