Akesson Summer Update 2008

The hot weather has finally reached Sweden so I'm writing a summer update!....

Perfect Blue

This track will be released on the 14^th of July which is in about 11 days from now! The track will be available on Beatport, CDJshop (and all other quality digital shops) and the biggest vinyl shops across the globe. The track will be available on all formats and have had massive support from Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Sean Tyas, Ferry Corsten and Simon Patterson to mention a few. However the track has already been released on Audiojelly were it after only three days hit the 1 spot on the sales chart. The track is released on Aly & Fila's sub label on "offshore music" and as well on Armin van Buuren's label "A State of Trance".....

Compilation features....

I'm happy to announce two huge compilation features this summer. First Judge Jules picked up my track "Sunchaser" for his Ibiza compilation "Judgment Sundays 2008" which contains the biggest tunes on his club nights in "Eden" on Ibiza. This compilation was released last month on the famous imprint "Ministry Of Sound".....

Second feature is the massive German dance album "Dream Dance vol. 48" which is released by the giant Sony BMG. Perfect Blue was the track featured, the compilation sells ten thousands of copies and is also promoted through TV in Germany. Release date is set to the 11^th of July.....

Radio show....

On the 9^th of July I'm starting my brand new radio show on afterhours.fm called "Threshold" which will be broadcasted every second Wednesday of the month at 10pm CET. The show will be one hour long and feature both upfront tracks, and old gems. Be prepared for a quality mix!....

Summer is closing in and so are many of my releases, "Akesson - Sunchaser" was first played on "TATW" last summer and never seem be released, it's been a while and the reason for this is that I sent the track to anjunabeats as an unsigned track. A month after, I signed the track with Fraction Records, therefor its been played long before release, and this has been annoying the the ppl that likes the tune and also for me.

Support from: Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, MIKE aka Push, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Signalrunners, Judge Jules (On BBC Radio One) and many more.

It will finally be released in 1-2 weeks from now, first on CD and Vinyl, it can be ordered on www.fraction-records.com

My first official remixes has been signed and it's a very new area to me. The first remix is on "Aly & Fila - Lost Language" that will be released the 14th of April on Armada on the Soundpiercing sublabel and also on Offshore Music.

Second remix will be released in late April/May and is called "Signs (Akesson Remix)" by my friend Dréas. This will be out on full format on Red Force Recordings which is a new label that seem to kick of extremely well with pure quality trance.

The third Remix is called "Sonic Division - Day & Night (Akesson Remix)" and will be released on Fraction Records. This remix is a more clubby techy remix, with a very epic atmosphere, very excited abt this one.

And finally I want to write a few words abt "Akeson - Perfect Blue" which is a very special and personal track to me, it's probably my best work so far. The track will be released on Armada/Offshore and has already been played by armin. The releasedate will be later this year, not sure when, maybe in summer/fall sometime.

Something that has been brought to my attention is that some people are playing a rip of the track, which is something I really don't apprichate! It's illegal! Not that I see myself like some sort of star, but it ruins for the label, and it ruins for me.

Been a while since i had a new track coming after sunchaser! Last night armin van buuren dropped my brand new tune on his show A State Of Trance!

The Track is called "Akesson - Perfect Blue" and will be released on Offshore Egyptian Edition. More info about that will come soon!

From now on i will use "Akesson" as my alias because of legal issues and that it is simpler! Sunchaser will also be released under "Akesson"
