SCORE: "Poor Colin, distraught at the recent turn of events, finds someone of his own to comfort him. NO! I don't want this to happen. This is NOT how it's meant to be! I want Anna and Colin to be together where they belong, not apart, unhappy, with other partners. * sulks * Oh, that's okay, Ms. Galifany. Just go and upset me further! There's a twist just come along regarding Colin and and and… * sob! * Oh. Chase really isn't a nice chap. I don't like him at ALL. He's sinister and… This is one of those books that I want to read to find out what happens next but at the same time I don't want to know. I'm in tangles here!"

I'm looking for a couple of people who will be willing to read the sections of Shyanne's Secret, a western romance, as I write it and give me feedback. I have already completed 12 sections but the readers that are in my private readers group do not have time to respond. If you are interested, please send an email to jena_galifany AT yahoo.com (you know how to do it) with Shyanne's Secret Reader in the subject line. I try to get out a section a week, sometimes two. You will need to be able to access a private yahoo group to read the work at your leisure. I will have to send you an invitation to join so be sure to tell me what email address to use. A little about Shyanne's Secret: Seventeen year old Shyanne Bennett is used to having everything she wants and what she wants is Cole Jackson. He's a half-blood who is the scapegoat for anything that happens in the Oregon town of Heart because of his mixed heritage. The year is 1880 and things go horribly wrong when Shyanne determines to take the one thing her father refuses his spoiled daughter. This is the first western I've attempted so if you have experience in that genre, I would greatly appreciate your help. It's all new to me but the story screamed to be set in 1880 Oregon. Cole demanded it so I had to give in. lol Thanks! Jena Galifany

Allie has given me permission to post this opportunity. I got to do a Behind The Scenes week and it was great. You can see what I'm talking about here: Behind the Scenes - The Birth of ShadowsForge Here's a letter from Allie:
Dear Authors, It's time to start scheduling the second year of Behind The Scenes. For those of you who don't know, Behind The Scenes is a blog on Novelspot. You have a whole week to talk about what went on behind the scenes of your latest book. Your posts stay on the front page for the day they are posted, and then they're also archived alongside links to your web page and your publishers. This is a promotional opportunity, but remember, the blog is NOT to rehash your book; it's a chance to showcase your voice, to hook new readers, to talk about how you got published, or where you got your ideas, or your characters, or tell how you worked, or tell your behind the scenes anecdotes, or reveal that story about the fight you had with your editor that resulted in your favorite scene being deleted and completely changing the character of your...wait, no, that was MY behind the scenes... Anyone interested in blogging for a week, we have openings from September until December. (In December, we will begin scheduling for 2009.) Your week will begin on a Monday, and last until Sunday midnight. We only have a couple thousand members of our website and yahoo group, but as of this February we get about 10433 visitors a day. So if you're interested, email allie@novelspot.net. See you online! Allie
It's a great opportunity to share your "behind the scenes"! JG

Having finished somewhere around 16 in the P&E Novel Romance division (many thanks to those who voted for me), ShadowsForge 3: Retaking America has been nominated on the Ecararomance.com Poll under Best Contemporary Ebook Romance of 2007 and could use some votes if you are so inclined. I'd like to ask any of you who would to vote for ShadowsForge 3: Retaking America at http://www.ecataromance.com If you have read to the book and enjoyed it, could someone nominate it under the catagory of Favorite Romance Ebook of 2007, please? Click on Add an Answer and type in "ShadowsForge 3: Retaking America by Jena Galifany" and click Vote. That will do it. Please don't forget the author name. That happened under the Best Contemporary Ebook nomination and I am afraid it will be disqualified because of it.. There are other catagories, too, that you can vote for but I'd really appreciate any votes you can spare for me. Thanks. I really appreciate you all. Jena Galifany
