So what is Guerillagraphy anyway? It's really my own fancy term for the already fancy term of Guerilla Photography, or guerilla stylle photo shoot, so on and so forth.

I'm just gonna paste what this guy wrote over at Yahoo! Answers.

"I'm sure you've all heard the term, "guerilla filmmaking." in a nutshell, it's about making a film, video, whatever, without having much money to accomplish it.

What that means is you have to make do with the tools you have.

Same goes for photography.

A lot of you are guerilla photographers whether you know you are or not. You have the desire, a level of skill, and the basic tools"

So you see, a lot of us start of with very basic photography equipment, usually just the camera. I started with a 5 megapixel digital camera. And funny thing is, I was really creative back then, coming up with various photoshoots with different themes and styles.

When I upgraded to a DSLR a few years later, my creativity just went downhill. I lost my creativity, I was too busy focusing on the camera settings that I just did not have the time to think of the creative side of the shoot. So it's pointless really having a high end camera but the pictures are just plain boring.

So this is why I've created this workshop, to help you find that creativity through these limitations (equipment, environment, e.t.c...) as I did when I started off with that 5 megapixel digital camera of mine.

Oh and MOST of my shoots were done at home, specifically in my bedroom and bathroom. No special studio! So after this workshop, hopefully you can come up with your very own creative shoot in your very own house, room and even bathroom! And you don't even have to own a DSLR!

If you're interested, please head on over to http://guerillagraphyworkshop.blogspot.com/ for more information!

Much Love,
Anna Joe

Hey people. It's been a while since I blogged on MySpace. I sometimes blog at sueannajoe.blogspot.com (trying to update more often now that I have a new layout that I like) and my other blog in Malay at bududanbelacan.blogspot.com.

I've been well, got married, got an award, got depressed, back and up again. Well, I'm not sure what to blog about here, just thought I did, to fill in the void, and my lack of interactiveness with my well the people on my list.

I think I only know about 0.05% if those on my list. Sigh. And people tend to get the wrong idea when I don't respond to their messages or comments. I get too many messages in a day, friend requests, and well, I'm lazy. Okay, so combined all these elements, it's just well, too ambitious to respond to people. I do, once in a while, and it's usually to those who I know.

And now there's Facebook. Not sure why I keep on registering to these sites, one after another. However, I'm only active in a few. How about you, are you registered to a bunch of other sites online? Do you manage to keep up with them?

I found this hilarious video on YouTube about social networking wars:

Hehe, perdy darn funny. Especially since I do register to all these sites, well not all, but a number of them. Okayy, so till me next entry, byebye.

Hey, just got back from the hospital-again. Was there for 5 days. Had severe food poisoning/diarrhoea. Then got super dehydrated. And was on the drip. Think I'm starting to have an IV addiction-lol. It was just last December I was in the hospital, for a couple of days too. That was right after that little exhibition I did, kinda caught extremely tired and dehydrated as the heat inside the building was a killer.

Anyways, so there I was at the hosp for 5 days. The last 2 days I only started feeling better. The night before I was admitted, I remember passing motion over 20 times. Ugh, terrible, then I vomited a couple. Till I was really drained. My eye sockets were sucked in as I was too dry.

But now I'm okay. I've 3 meds me thinks. I just had an endoscopic thingy thingy this morning before being discharged. The doctor was worried if i'd any ulcer in my stomach. Thankfully no ulcer in my tummy. Apparently, my tummy was attacked by 2 bacterias. Woo. Crazy. Usually diarrhoea would last about 2-3 days, but mine was well over 3 days. So tiring.

Cool thing is, they gave me a CD of the endoscope they did of my tumme. It's in .DAT format now though, so I'll find a way to convert it, and put it on youtube. Hahah. So prepare yourself for 'The Journey into the Tummy of Sue Anna Joe'. Hehe, you can how I really am inside. It's kinda disgusting though. Haha.

Mwahs!

So finally thanks to Fad Manaf for uploading the event which was aired on TV on a show called REMAJA on TV3 here in Malaysia.

This art event organized by Nad Radzi hosted a number of young talents, visually and musically. I took part, and exhibited some of my works along a number of others as well.

Anyways, I was interviewed a tiny bit which you can watch on the video uploaded at YouTube. I'm around minute 1:00 of the video. Most of you probably won't understand a word we're saying, as the show is in Malay, but I did punch in a couple of English sentences here and there.

So yeah. Here's the video below. If you can't see the video below, go to this link instead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqMS4izmn5M

Okay, thought I mention, please please please call me Anna, or Sue Anna but NEVER just 'Sue'. It's just not me, and I don't like it. If you wanna call me Sue,  might as well call me 'Joe'.

People, people... you know, you should ALWAYS ask a person, what name do they want to be called. As in, what name or nickname they feel most comfortable with. That's what we call manners.

I always ask someone, what to call them. As I know everyone has their preferences. Of course there are those who don't really care. But,  I do. Anna to me, feels much more homely and friendlier and well warm and more me. I guess it's also prolly cause it's pretty much close what my family calls me which is Hana.

For those who don't know, Sue Anna Joe isn't my real, birth name as it says on my identity card. For those who know me, they'd know my real name. 'Sue Anna Joe' is kinda like my lil creation, doesn't really go far from my real name though. Just made it slightly international so its easier for the rest of the world to pronounce and not twist their precious tongues.

Anyways, please please call me Anna. And PLEASE OH PLEASE I beg you to stop calling me Sue! Arrgghh, it hurts my ears and soul. Kinda like vampires who can't be in the sunlight, Some guy/girl says to me "Hi Sue!!" and I go, "Aarrgghhhh, don't call me that!!!! I'm meltinnggg, i'm meltiiinnnggggg, aarrhhjjjkkkk...." Heh. Lame.

Much love,
Anna

I find it fuckin hilarious getting invites from ppl like in the Chicago, Texas or maybe somewhere in London or Australia or wherever else in the world other than Malaysia.

Proves to show, most myspacers are just spammers and shameless self promoters. They don't even give a damn if you're a million miles away and the gigs like tomorrow and they're 'hoping to see you there!'.

The better promos are like, 'if you happen to be around the area'. Still, give me a damn plane ticket with that invite will ya?

It's different when it's posted as a bulletin or an event invite, but these are personal messages. They have the time to open up our profile, and click on send message but do not have the time to check the location of the person? Tskk tskk. Bad myspacers, bad.

That's the end of my rant. I'm in an angry and pissed off mood today.

Much love,
Anna

I've been getting shitloads of messages and questions about my moving default pic, about my photography in general, and well other stuff. I'm too damn lazy and have no time to answer each and every message. So here I've decided it's about time I write up an F.A.Q:

How did you get your picture to move like that?

First, it's a gif animation, not flash, not a slideshow. It was quite easy for me since my camera (Sony DSC p-10) they had this feature where images like this will be automatically animated, where 10 or less pictures will be combined together to make a gif animation. But, it isn't as smooth flowing as this, so I edited it in Adobe Image Ready. And created motion tweens in between each original image. Sorry but I won't go into details, because I suck at explaining, it's so much easier if I show it visually. You can search for more in-depth tutorials over the net, just google 'tutorials for gif animations' or something like that.

Other simpler programs i've used before is Microsoft Gif Animator. You can Google it and download it for free, it's much simpler to understand compared to Adobe Image Ready.

If i'm not lazy, which I doubt, I might create a visual tutorial. But I really really really doubt that I will.

Are you a model?

Naah. I just so happen to be a girl with a camera who just loves to express herself.

Are you a professional photographer?

No. Photography is just a passion for me. I've no formal training whatsoever. However last semester, i've had compulsory photography classes to attend to in college. But what I have been doing was way before I started these classes. So let's say I got this far, all by myself. Damn I sound so proud and snobbish, but yeah I am personally satisfied with my acheivements thus far.

If you are in these pictures, and you take these pictures, like WTF, how?

It's simple really. All I need is a tripod and and the camera's timer. So I quickly sketch in my mind what kind of pose do I want, and set the place up and myself, and immediately after I press the capture button, I get into position and wait for the 10 second timer to go off. I have to take a couple of shots, to get one that I like, I usually take at least 5 shots in every photo session, because not all the pictures turn out the way I want to. And on ocassion there are some accidental, booby shots. Huhu!

Do you take pictures of anything else besides yourself?

Yes. I do take pictures of other things. From architectural shots, to the nature, to sceneries, objects e.t.c. And I totally dig photojournalism and street shots. But I don't go out often, so yeah, i've mostly myself or the stuff around the house to shoot when i'm bored. Bang!

I'd love to go out more often, or take pictures of other people, but since i'm still studying, time becomes an issue. So it's perdy difficult to squeeze in photography sessions in between. Plus I get tired quite easily, cause i'm just a teeny weeny weak little girl.

What camera do you use?

Sony V3 (digital)
Sony DSC p-10 (digital)
Nikon FM3a (film)
Holga 120 CFN (film)
Canon EOS 350D @ Digital Rebel XT

I mainly use my digtal camera's for most of my pictures. I use my Nikon FM3a mostly for class purposes.

Where do you take these pictures?

Believe it or not, I take my pictures mostly in my room and bathroom.

Do you edit your pictures?

Yes. I edit my pictures in Adobe Photoshop.

Can I use your pictures?

It depends. I've received ALOT of requests from bands especially to use my pictures as their cover album. I usually say yes, as long as they credit me for the picture and give me a free copy of the cd/album they used it for.

Can I feature you in our magazine/website/gallery?

Hell yeahhhhh!!! Who wouldn't want exposure???

I have a clothing company, can you model the clothes for me?

Yes, just send me the clothes, and i'll do whatever I can, as long as I don't have to pay for anything, and get the clothes for free. Ouh and I do not do lingerie. I'm no suicide girl. Haha.

OTHER NON-PHOTOGRAPHY QUESTIONS/MESSAGES & STUFF TO KNOW

Why do I see you as one of the first friends on the Friends Space?

As some of you have noticed, I can be seen almost quite alot on people's profile, this is because the friends in your list is arranged according to when they registered to this site. I was one of the earlybirds of this site, probably when there was about 500 or was it 5000 users. That is also why you see alot of Tom, Ducky, Rob, e.t.c. They are one of the early members of MySpace. So if you don't like seeing me there, you can just delete me from your friends list. Either that, you just gotta bear the pain of the nose digger!! Mwahahaha!!!

*update*

Well now it seems that we have the feature where we can choose 8 users to be displayed on our own main page, so this gets rid of me, if you want. Yeay!

Can you give me a comment please?

Sorry, but I can't. I only give comments when I want to. I'm not trying to be all bitchy and snobbish about it, but I seriously do not have time to. I get so many requests and comments to be approved each day to attend to. And I have other sites as well to shall I say 'commit' to. So if you are ignored, your messages or questions, please please forgive me. Just so you know, I do read ALL my messages and comments, but very rarely respond to them, unless it's a very important question.

Can I get to know you more?

Yes, unfortunately it's difficult for me. I would love to get to know everyone more, but then again, I get soooo many friend requests and messages that I find it difficult to get personal with anyone, unless its someone I already know. Believe me, I wish I could. But I cannot please everyone. Sorry. But I try.

In my profile i've included my username's/i.d's for Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger and AIM, so we just might get a chance to get to know each other more personally there, but this is no promise, because I only log on once in a while, or there is someone I need to talk to. So yeah.

The kind of comments that I reject:

I like my page to be simple and clean, without any fucked up nonsense which are:

Comments that has any pictures in it
Any sort of flash animation or greetings
Chain messages like (you have been kissed, if you get this message that means you are loved, send this message to 10 other people or your love life will forever be dooooomeeddd!!!) Damn I so hate those messages.
Long messages, those ASCII thing-a-majibs i think they call it, mm pictures which are made up of letters, numbers and symbols, like the words SEXY, or a picture of a heart or lips or feet or a gun or whatever that swallows up like 3 or 4 lines or almost half the page. Man, that freakin uglifies the page.

Holy shit, that is alotta crap I don't want on my page. No offence really, it's fun stuff, but I like my page to be dull and boring and simple without all these fun internet stuff.

Well anyways, that's pretty much it. I might have left out some questions or other stuff. If I remember any, i'll be adding em up in this blog entry. So yeah.
Did anyone of you actually read this? If you said yes, damn you guys are such internet dorks. Naww really, I appreciate it so much, and give you triple honka wonka salute!!!! I worship thee.

Much Love,
Sue Anna Joe

Okay recently I was interviewed about my photography for this show called FEMME, episode about 'Women Behind the Lens'. So, if you wanna watch me make a fool outta myself on TV, be sure to tune in to TV 1 (RTM) 11:00AM this Saturday, 11 February 2006.

First time appearing on TV. Yikes. I'm gonna find a way to record it. I bet I look ugleh, and ughh. Hahah. I'm scared shitless. Not sure how i'm gonna share it with ya'all, and well not sure if its legal to do so, cause don't they have a copyright to it or something? What I can do, is prolly do a screenshot of it. Hmm. Oh well. So yeah.

So wahai sahabat-sahabtku di Malaysia, jangan lupa untuk menonton saya di rancangan FEMME, Sabtu ini jam 11 pagi, 11 Februari 2006. Yeahhh. Hahaha. =]

Lotsa Love,
Anna!!!

I can't tell how how extremely sad I am. My maid woke me up today, telling me that my 3 baby kitties have died.

I was extremely shocked hoping at least one was still alive. So I went to the box to see them, where I saw the mom inside as always, having one paw on her kitties, hugging them.

They kitties lay motionless as though as they were sleeping, when I saw blood on their necks. I immediately burst into tears and I still am. I touched their bodiees, and they were still warm.

My maid told me that she gonna feed the momma cat this morning, when she found out, and actually saw the father cat running away from the box. I now remember who's the father, which I rarely see around the house, they were exactly like these kitties, orange with a white patch on its face, I manage to get a glimpse of the cat from far, and he was looking at me with a guilty face, I just wanted to strangle him.

Going back to the mom, she was in the box caring for her babies, licking them, not knowing her babies are gone.

Yesterday, I just told my 4 year old niece in London about the kittens, and she was so excited about them as I was. I couldn't wait for her to come back and see her expression when she sees the kitties.

I'm just so so sad. I want those kittens back. And they already opened their eyes, which were blue, and the licked and sucked on my finger.

Uhmm, this is just so painful for me. And i've yet to name them. =[
