I got to meet...BAD RELIGION!

Back in late September there was a Dropkick Murphys/Bad Religion concert and naturally, I had to go.

I've always considered Bad Religion as one of the best band out there, and definately the most under-rated band in the history of music and humankind.  They've been played for over a quarter of a century and have released classic after classic, and their older albums are just as listenable and relevant to today as their newer albums.

Anyways, after the concert my bro and I hung out near the back exit where both DKM's and BR's buses were waiting...hoping that maybe the security there would let us talk to them, and we weren't the only ones, there were around 4 others.  I suppose security were doing their jobs...but when Jay Bentley left the Saddledome, he saw us and came out to us!  Brian and Brooks soon followed.  Greg G. had to leave the concert right away, if you went to the concernt and wondered why he almost ran off the stage at the end it was because his throat was killing him. :P  Hetson was busy and couldn't make it out.

But yeah we talked about a whole bunch of stuff, about what's gonna happen after the concert in B.C. up until the next album (which will be a single CD, not a double like Brett mentioned on the DVD).  Brooks is gonna tour with Tenacious-D (he beat out Dave Grohl for the part!), and Hetson was gonna swing East touring with the Circle Jerks.  Graffin's gonna be teaching at UCLA.  Brett has a bunch of songs ready to go for the next album and Greg was still working on some.

Oh yeah, and when everyone was singing "O Canada" and then it broke out into "I want to Conquer the World", that was totally unscripted!

The experience was somewhat a blur because I was actually pretty tired (was fasting that day and I just got out of an exam to catch the concert in time), and it felt surreal.

Anyways, I finally realized that hey, I could post this on my blog, hence it's nearly a month late.  :P

Wow check out all the smileys.

Anyways, I was hoping to pop all my music from the mid-90s to today on this site but there's a 4 song limit here...so I'm thinking of popping all my "rough sketches" on here, just get feedback and stuff.

These sketches are unmastered and will most likely be live mixdowns, with no real song structure.  Some of them could have some structure as they're half finished, and others could be 20 seconds of the same melody repeating over and over.

I'm sorta hoping it'll push me to finish at least a couple of songs...due to lazyness I've only finished a couple in the last few years and that's coz they were compos (won 1st in the indiscriminate.co.uk records compo w00t).  Hopefully a positive comment will get me off my lazy ass.

Oh and as far as all my older stuff...go to www.soundclick.com/nrxic and in a few weeks I'll have all my stuff on there...even previously unreleased stuff like some of my joke songs.
